Well there you have it; it is no big deal because some people used to shoot at each other with shotguns.

Her packing heat is the opposite of acting like a victim in any common sense other than an Orwellian one.But of course, Go Braves! Don't trust those cute smiles and pleading eyes to help their cause for a second. God knows what dangerous weapons they're hiding behind those boxes of Samoas they're holding out to you, just waiting to whip out and fire on an unsuspecting nice old suburban couple the second they drop their guard and open their wallet?!
EDIT: .... Just remember, @Go Braves ! Even if it's just a little girl wearing a beret with cat ears and toting tasteless cookies around, it's THEIR LIFE OR YOURS! No questions asked! (That's the BS line I always heard from my wildly gun-obsessed former stepmother, who bragged about carrying a deer knife in the cubby on her driver's side door, because she was sure that if she didn't, she would be dragged out of her car and raped in the middle of a stop.
To that I always responded (to myself, not out loud, because I don't want family members mad at my sissy liberal butt when it comes to the subject of guns: "Act like a victim, and you are more likely to be one."
There's nothing more to the story. A black teen knocked on a persons door . And asked for help. The woman got paranoid. And started screaming these people are going to rob us. Both assume this black teen would rob them. So the male owner started shooting at him. And never paid attention to him asking for help. Lucky this teen wasn't killed. They would have got away with it. Because the teem wouldn't have been able to tell his story. Kids/ teen knock on my door. I don't assume a child or teen is going to rob me. Even adults knock on my door. I don't shoot them.I just saw the video. He was clearly shooting at the kid. However there might be more going on that most realize. We used to shoot at each other across a field or woods with shotguns but from a safe distance. The tiny shot pellets would rain down on us harmlessly. It appears that this guy knew his shot would do no harm but would send a message. At a certain distance the shot might 'sting' but do no serious harm.
I think I asked a very reasonable question. Why would you knock on a strangers door to ask directions to your own school? You can go ahead and try to add anything you want to my question if you hope that will make you feel better. But, how about answering the simple, straight-forward question I asked.
With all the schools I went to, I can't recall ever not knowing where my own school was.
And, if you missed your school bus, wouldn't you just turn around and walk the short way back to your own house?

While I strongly suspect the poster is speculating, I suggest that people systematically over-estimate their own competence.I look forward to you validating that statistic.
There's is no agenda to push . This black teen was shot at for no reason. But some people try to claim he was shady. Because he was black. There's no agenda. Just the simple truth. That people are in denial about. Please stop pushing an agenda.
... You cannot be serious.
Quite...a lot of home invasion robberies start this way.
When I was growing up (good neighborhood), our neighbor made the mistake of opening the door to a teenage girl asking to use the phone (in an era before cell phones). That's when her accomplice jumped out and began beating him. Which is when I ran out with my rifle and sent several rounds over their heads...at which point they fled.
It is not an unreasonable assumption in a world where cell phones are ubiquitous that someone knocking at the door is up to no good. Also keep in mind that you are only hearing one side of the story...from people who invariably side with even hardened criminals against their victims.
While I'm prepared to be a martyr for Christ, I'm not prepared to be a martyr for being unrealistic.
When Horror Came to a Connecticut Family
Rather simple, actually, and greatly eliminates the need for shooting anyone.
Update Update: Sentenced to 4 to 10 years for one count of assault with intent to do great bodily harm and one count of 'felony firearm'.
As usual, the lying for "coverup" is what gets them. He should have never lied claiming he tripped, accidently firing the gun.
Thats what pleading the fifth is for (amongst other things).Well, I really didn’t see him saying…
“Yes sir officer, I busted out the loaded gage and when my wife opened the door and I yelled ‘surprise!’ that kid took off like a scared raccoon being chased by some Mississippi blue tick hounds on a Saturday night! Hoo boy! I ran out and by the time I lined up the sights on his center of mass, he was already across the road but I let loose with a load of buckshot just to see if I could wing him”.
