I have not "Thus Saithed The Lord" much working for God. When God talks to me like that, I often start laughing. We saw that "Thus Saith The Lord" wasn't getting us places in 2014. I lost track.

About three months ago I felt compelled to Thus Saith the Lord on /r/prophecy.

Notice how the person who confronted me deleted his account. He had a false faith or he was a knowledgeable deceiver?

Prophetic Shepherding

The Lord is a Shepherd. He has a Rod and a Staff.

A staff that leads people to joy and happiness.

A rod of Misery.

The Left hand may be about light. Who or what is The Light? Something else or God?

Death and How Christians Should View Him

When Christians read the Bible, they often flip back and forth between different scriptures or Books of The Bible looking for greater understanding or meaning. I call this The Ties That Bind. Some scriptures are tied together in meaning and or purpose or understanding. When you learn to see The Ties That Bind with current world events, history, media, and other things, you may have Eyes to See and Ears to Hear.

Death, the figure in a black robe with a scythe, has his imagery tied to the Bible.

All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. (Matthew 25:32)

His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire." (Matthew 3:12)

I looked, and there before me was a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was one like a son of man with a crown of gold on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand. Then another angel came out of the temple and called in a loud voice to him who was sitting on the cloud, "Take your sickle and reap, because the time to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is ripe." (Revelations 14:14,15)

In the Bible, mankind is often metaphorically described as God's Vineyard. (Isaiah 63:1-6)(Luke 20:9-18) The metaphor of wheat and tares is used. The Lord is a Shepherd.

Someone may read the above verses and say that they are about The Son of Man or one like a Son of Man. That would not be wrong. Prophet Ezekiel is Son of Man. He laid on his side for 390 days to simulate the Siege of Jerusalem for God. Jesus Christ is Son of Man. He prophesied the Destruction of the Temple, and soon after the Diaspora happened.

I found some songs about Death from a more Christian perspective. What is The Form of Death? I arranged said songs to tell a story and help give a better visual.

  • When I Go Away
  • Living in sin is like digging a hole. One day a man starts digging and doesn't know why. He digs down deep, and doesn't stop.A man passing through sees the hole, and looks down. He yells "Hey Crazy, what are you doing!?!"Man in the hole stops and looks around and sees how far he dug. What does he do? Does he lay down and die? Does he climb out? Does he just keep on digging? Let the Godly be Godly. Let the Righteous be Righteous. Let the filthy be filthy.
  • Lone Wayfaring Stranger.
  • To truly be born again, a man needs to die. He needs to die to the World. Die to the self. It is sort of like the pill in The Matrix. Which one do you choose? Cyanide.
  • Death Came a Knocking.

Bonus song God showed me after the fact:

More on Shepherding

Joy and good things and leading people to God's Kingdom is a great thing.

Fear of God is a good thing. Fear of God takes away your fear of man. You are doing the right things? What do you have to fear?

God's Rod and Staff may be like Good cop Bad cop. Someone really good with God and in the Spirit may be able to go back and forth like a boxer changing his stance.

I view death as an old friend, one I have seen throughout my life. Oh, we have had our differences and have settled them. I'm now approaching 69 next month and I no longer fear him as I did before I was saved. I no longer get angry with him when I see so many wasted lives because I learned he had no part in how they came to him. Sometimes he gives peace to those in unimaginable pain and agony. After experiencing a near death experience myself I gained more insight as I stood before Death's Door and yet was turned back as it was not yet my time. After that I gained more insight into Philippians 1:21 21For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. I sometimes feel very weary of this world and ask my Lord how much longer I have as I have lived longer than the last several generations of men in my family. I have a neurological disease and other problems that keep me in pain. When I see and hear many of the things I do in this modern era it grieves me greatly and makes me pray all the harder come quickly Lord!

Sometimes, I have have sat and talked to some US Military Veterans. Some of them may of had a story of being around God or talking to God.

As far as Death is concerned, Arch-Angel Michael is said to bring men to God.

1 “At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people—everyone whose name is found written in the book—will be delivered.
2 Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.
3 Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.
4 But you, Daniel, roll up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge. (Daniel 12)

Death and How Christians Should View Him

I don’t think death is a person. Death is a place, probably this life, because:

Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them. They were judged, each one according to his works. Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. If anyone was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.
Revelation 20:12-15

Most assuredly I tell you, he who hears my word, and believes him who sent me, has eternal life, and doesn't come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.

John 5:24

We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brothers. He who doesn't love his brother remains in death.

1 John 3:14
