Hi @Rebuilding Season, I think I'd start each day at the foot of the Cross if I was you. It's kind of hard to stay convinced that you are nothing in God's eyes when you regularly remember everything that He did (and continues to do) for you, yes? .. cf John 3:16, 5:24, 6:37-40, 10:27-28, 20:31; Romans 5:8-10, 8:1, 28, 32; 2 Corinthians 5:17, 21; Ephesians 1:4-6, 2:1-5, 8-10; Philippians 1:6, 2:13; Hebrews 7:25....

Jesus chose to come here and die for you so that He wouldn't have to live out eternity w/o you, or you w/o Him :amen:

Yours and His,
David

How I do get over thinking that I am not doing enough for God?
If you don't mind me asking, how long have you been a Christian? Also, do you regularly attend a local church, and/or a Bible study?

Thanks!

I have a question. How I do get over this thinking that I am nothing in the eyes of God and also the thinking that I am not doing enough for God?
Did you not know that before you were born, you were first a vision of God? He envisioned you, and designed you with this body to fulfill a specific role. He thought of you and decided that He wanted you. So, if you feel that your beliefs are in proper alignment, then your ability to submit to Jesus, and not to humans without position, will prepare you for a path of easy obedience. But to obey, your sense of submission must be proper, and that won't happen unless your beliefs are "right", or in alignment with the truth of the Word.

Now, if you have these three things in proper working order, your natural state should be that of confidence, if at least courageous. But if you are obeying, there is one overarching feeling that should reside within you to the marrow of your bones....you will be feeling confident! Confidence is the mindset, or way of thinking, that enables you to trust God, to become moldable for God, as well as for all people. And when we are like this, we are then able to share not only the Good News of Christ, but we can then share nearly all elements of ourselves to those in need. When confident, we can then defend those that cannot defend themselves....and when we lay down our lives for others, man, that's when we know were really on track.

So if you're not sharing as you think you ought, then you're likely not possessing enough confidence. If you're not confident, your stumbling block is the refusal to obey (somewhere or multiple areas of your life), as disobedience causes us to "look over our shoulder", if not literally at times. And if we're not obeying its because we haven't truly submitted ourselves to Christ, making ourselves literally that of a slave to Him. If we do not give our entire selves to God, it is because our belief system is shallow like a mud puddle and needs to be checked and rechecked and rechecked.

I believe in you!

Start studying the crucifixtion of Jesus, learn all you can about how many men in the guard who beat him, what being flogged meant and just what crucifixtion actual involves.

Why learn about this awefull subject?

Because Jesus went through this to save you.

You are valued by God the Father. You are worth the life of Jesus the Son of God, the second person of the trinity.

If this doesn't make you realise you are valued by God, go and see a doctor to sort out your depression.

I have a question. How I do get over this thinking that I am nothing in the eyes of God and also the thinking that I am not doing enough for God?

Nothing?

1 John 3:1-2

Behold what manner of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God. And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him. Beloved, we are now children of God, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when Christ appears, we will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is.

Luke 11:11-13

“Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!

1 Cor 6:19

Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own

Think about those things for a moment. Children are not nothing to their parents (in most cases, I don't know your history and some people suffer more abuse than love which makes it hard to understand the love that is talked about here).

Moreover - God is Spirit. But you, in the temple of the Body, now contain that Spirit here on Earth. God can love here, through you. God can help here, through you. God can act here, through you. You are Precious - you are BOTH a Child, AND a link between Heaven and Earth. :)

Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
On Earth,
As it is in Heaven
