God wants us to prosper - His Prosperity is different from what they are preaching

Some of what prosperity preaching is.

God loves you right where you are.

God wants for you to have money.

God wants for you your best life now.

Check in for your after healing group all will be healed on the spot.

Prosperity preaching. At first when I was a young Christian I use to get excited for those TBN sermons. But over time as I grew a little older and with my relationship with Yeshua. I begin to realize how misleading some of these prosperity preachers are. Well not some but all, I start to realize they begin to leave out actual key scriptures and basically base the so called teaching off get rich quick type motivational talks. I am curious what everyone else's input about this.

And also how can one be on the look out to make sure ones church isn't a prosperity teaching church.

A more subtle new mutation of prosperity gospel is proclaiming the central truth in Ephesians 2:8-9 but denying/omitting/preaching-against the next verse, Ephesians 2:10. That distorting is also a prosperity gospel.

As someone who works in a children's hospital, could anyone with the gift of healing and no formal medical expertise please come no where near any children's hospital anywhere.

I don't believe that.
In order to grow in Christ and to shrink our self there's nothing better than misery and challenges in life.
That's why we should be thankful for our hard times.
God prefers to see us come to Him broken and exhausted.
Worldly prosperity makes us self assured and self centred, proud and arrogant.
Our treasure lies in God's Kingdom.
We are strangers on earth.

Yeah, that'll preach.

1) The Word of God Himself promised us a Comforter; this is a big deal, and I won't go into why it is now.

2) The Most High God Himself will put His laws on our minds and in our hearts, and we will be His people, and He will be our God.

3) The Word of God Himself told us that an edifice is not necessary; where two or more are gathered He is in the midst. Fellowship happens with our Father and Redeemer first, and then with our spiritual brothers and sisters.

4) The Most High God said plenty of times that even His people will be suffer many trials and tribulations. Prosperity preaching is poor training at best, and possibly damning in general. Mammon is one of the most influential gods the world worships; we were told in history several times not to worship this entity. Our ability to telegraph reality into a more acceptable vector does not negate the severity of ignoring that reality - as it is.

Money is not a bad thing but, the love of money is a terrible thing.

We know many very successful Christians who I am sure give their fair share to the poor.

I would think if going in with the parents of a sick child with their permission many children there are prayed for.

We always add to our prayers, If It Be Your Will God.
