our future is in God's hands

Another way of saying this is to quote spiritual songs. To name two, “God Is in Control” and “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands.”

As Billy Graham was known to say often, " I do not know what the future holds, but I know who holds the future".

God knows what he has planned for us yes.
But as Romans 8:28 says' All things, not it says 'All things', work together for good of those called by God.
It doesn't say 'all nice things' remember most Christians in the world live in poverty, many face open hostility from the government or there neighbours.
Jesus said we could expect to be treated in the same way he was.

That Jesus holds us in his hand is a source of security for when ones Christianity is used as a reason to attack one.

Things happen to Christians as we all should know by now, God be with you
as He be with me when I was involved in two wrecks (neither of which was my fault)... I suffered injuries to my neck and back, further injury came as well as I got older and became unable to work...we haven't ever been homeless or been
starving, God provides and sustains my husband who has disabilities to be able
to work part time on a farm and that income and his disability be enough to
meet our bills and have some money left over to save and to help others.
