Why would the Lord Jesus Christ, teach us that “whosoever believes” would have everlasting life, if it were only a special group of people that He enabled to believed, were the ones to receive everlasting life?

He wouldn’t.

For in the shedding of blood is remission for sins, as God needed to have Jesus die and shed His blood in order to be the sin bearer who took on our sins so that we can be saved by God!

What does God say about shedding innocent blood?

I don't think the bible need to use the word "free will" to show that there is free will.

When God told Adan and Eve, they could eat from any trees except one, it is implicit that God gave them free will. The fact that they did eat showed free will. Israel chose to worship idols instead of God. The Pharisees and most Jews chose to go against Jesus and crucify Him. Free will is implicit throughout the Bible, right before our eyes.
Adam and Eve had real free will, but once the Fall happened, we now are enslaved and bound by the sin nature, so not really free anymore!

The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sins!

Since you don't seem to know what God said about innocent blood, I will provide you these passages.

Deuteronomy 19:10
that innocent blood be not shed in the midst of thy land, which Jehovah thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and so blood be upon thee.

Deuteronomy 21:8
Forgive, O Jehovah, thy people Israel, whom thou hast redeemed, and suffer not innocent blood to remain in the midst of thy people Israel. And the blood shall be forgiven them.

2 Kings 24:4
and also for the innocent blood that he shed; for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood: and Jehovah would not pardon.

Psalm 106:38
And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan; and the land was polluted with blood.

Proverbs 6
16 There are six things which Jehovah hateth; yea, seven which are an abomination unto him:
17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood;
18 a heart that deviseth wicked purposes, feet that are swift in running to mischief,

Jeremiah 19:4
Because they have forsaken me, and have estranged this place, and have burned incense in it unto other gods, that they knew not, they and their fathers and the kings of Judah, and have filled this place with the blood of innocents,

Jeremiah 22:3
Thus saith Jehovah: Execute ye justice and righteousness, and deliver him that is robbed out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence, to the sojourner, the fatherless, nor the widow; neither shed innocent blood in this place.

Jeremiah 22:17
But thine eyes and thy heart are not but for thy covetousness, and for shedding innocent blood, and for oppression, and for violence, to do it.

So I ask, is is your desire to shed the innocent blood of Jesus? Was it God's desire, since He hates hands that shed innocent blood, and is an abomination to Him? Did you notice Psalm 106 in particular?

Psalm 106
37 Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto demons,
38 And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan; and the land was polluted with blood.
39 Thus were they defiled with their works, and played the harlot in their doings.

Nothing is said of innocent blood cleansing anyone!

Peter stated that we have been reddemed by not gold nor silver, but the precious blood of the sinless Lamb of God, Jesus, do you believe him?

Two things I will say.

Did you know people were redeemed in the OT?

Exodus 15:13
Thou in thy lovingkindness hast led the people that thou hast redeemed: Thou hast guided them in thy strength to thy holy habitation.

Deuteronomy 21:8
Forgive, O Jehovah, thy people Israel, whom thou hast redeemed, and suffer not innocent blood to remain in the midst of thy people Israel. And the blood shall be forgiven them.

2 Samuel 7:23
And what one nation in the earth is like thy people, even like Israel, whom God went to redeem unto himself for a people, and to make him a name, and to do great things for you, and terrible things for thy land, before thy people, whom thou redeemedst to thee out of Egypt, from the nations and their gods?

1 Kings 1:29
And the king sware, and said, As Jehovah liveth, who hath redeemed my soul out of all adversity,

Nehemiah 1:10
Now these are thy servants and thy people, whom thou hast redeemed by thy great power, and by thy strong hand.

Psalm 34:22
Jehovah redeemeth the soul of his servants; And none of them that take refuge in him shall be condemned.

Psalm 44:26
Rise up for our help, And redeem us for thy lovingkindness’ sake.

Psalm 77:15
Thou hast with thine arm redeemed thy people, The sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah

Psalm 107:2
Let the redeemed of Jehovah say so, Whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the adversary,

Isaiah 43:1
But now thus saith Jehovah that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed thee; I have called thee by thy name, thou art mine.

Isaiah 44:6
Thus saith Jehovah, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, Jehovah of hosts: I am the first, and I am the last; and besides me there is no God.

Nowhere do we see any physical blood needed to redeem mankind. Did you notice that?

What do you think Peter meant by Jesus' blood? It is the same blood of which Jesus spoke.

John 6
54 He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
56 He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood abideth in me, and I in him.

How can a man be redeemed but not have eternal life? Remember, only those who drink His blood, have eternal life (v. 54).

Learn what Jesus meant by 'drinking His blood', and you will know what Peter meant.
