Please educate yourself to history beyond simply the American perspective.

WW2 changed modern warfare forever. No country was prepared for Nazi Germany's capabilities at the start of the war.

The French were hopeless. There's no escaping that. It wasn't as simple as one power against another. If the U.S. invaded Iceland it would be the same result. They'd be hopeless.
I think I have a better grasp of history than what has been displayed which is the irony of you trying to tell me I am ignorant. I could take that as an insult about my grandfather as well....but I am not a thin skinned snowflake so its ok.

Facts
I have spent hours studying history and WWII specifically
My grandfather stormed the beach on D DAY and lived. He fought through France to free the French. I have first hand accounts of actual events from a man who was actually there.
My Godfather is a retired Lt. Colonel - who spent three tours in Vietnam and was DIA. Also have had many many discussions with him.
My Father fought in Vietnam, more stories and accounts of that war.

This morning I am going to raise funds for Wreaths Across America. You see, I am teaching my children that freedom is not free and there is a cost. Every year we honor those who fought and died for OUR freedom by placing wreaths on the graves of fallen soldiers. So tell me I am ignorant and I don't know what is going on with history again.

Trump, Macron agree on European defense after Trump's 'very insulting' comment

+++++++++++++++++

CNN
"President Macron of France has just suggested that Europe build its own military in order to protect itself from the U.S., China and Russia," Trump wrote. The message appeared before he'd even gotten off his plane. "Very insulting, but perhaps Europe should first pay its fair share of NATO, which the U.S. subsidizes greatly!"

That's rich, coming from Trump, who is a five time Military Draft dodger and is presently being investigated for having illegally hid the actual size of his inheritance from his equally corrupt father, and by that, cheating the U.S. out of almost half a Billion dollars.

And those countries can do fine without Trump, the remainder of his fraud of a Presidency.

Hitler lost the war because, like Trump (whenever informed of that which he is clueless about, or does not want to hear because, to him, it represents an attack against his overblown narcissism) he refused to listen to his Military advisors (who were out there on the field and knew what was what).

But, as this thread has proven (along with just about any thread on here involving any attempt to reason with most of Trump's supporters on them) there is no reasoning with such.

No sense in attempting to.

The Lord Himself frequently failed against such willfully ignorant blindness, and called it that.

Hence, why He more often than not would call such out, rather than waste His time attempting to reason with such.

Nevertheless, Rom. 5:6-8.

It was the Native American Code Talkers (the Navajo, Sioux, Choctaw, Assiniboine, Basque, Cherokee, Comanche, Cree, Meskwaki) who saved America's hide from Nazi Germany and Japan in WWII.

It was each of these fierce tribal warriors who used the native languages they were forbidden to speak in the American Indian Boarding Schools to beat the Nazis and save America's backside in WWII.

Other Native Americans from the Cheyenne, Chippewa, Crow, Hopi, Kiowa, Menominee, Mississauga, Muscogee, Osage, Pawnee, Sac and Fox, and Seminole tribes were recruited in the military too.

They played a very...important role, yes. Very...important.

But they were not alone.

Not by a long shot. Here is just one other equally amazing account of the many one could easily cite...

I disagree about France. The problem with the high command was that they were trying to fight the last war. Germany adopted the blitzkrieg tactics that Canada pioneered at the end of WW1 but the French were unable to adapt. Their tanks were actually better than the Germans but innovative generals like DeGaul were not listened to.

The Germans pioneered their own organised shock troopers during the First World War, before the Allies. Though both sides had "trench raiders" throughout the war, the Germans tried a full scale "shock trooper" tactic, nearly broke through, but the allies managed to hold the line in 1917.

The British then devised their own plan in 1918, learning from previous mistakes, a large scale combined operations, using artillery, Tanks, shock troopers, main infantry and aircraft support co-ordinating with each other, the French agreed to the plan and the commonwealth nations followed the British methods, which Canada was part of.

But its a bit of a stretch to claim Germany adopted Canadian methods, in fact it was more the other way around regarding the use of shock troopers/storm troopers, if anything, the Italians in their alpine campaign against Austria-Hungary, could argue they did it before the Germans, but never heard of Canadians laying claim to first use of WW1 shock troopers.

*edit* looked it up, there was a Frenchman who made ideas regarding shock troopers and the Germans captured pamphlets outlining such ideas, but the Germans already had more sophisticated plans before even capturing the pamphlets. The Canadians were first of the British and Commonwealth to use the French advise, perhaps because French Canadian soldiers read the pamphlets which were in French and passed it on. But the world war 2 German blitzkrieg had more in common with the British devised combined operations and Armoured Assaults than it did with WW1 shock troops, which were infantry tactics.

I suspect that the Russians eventually would have beaten Germany even without American help. And in WW1 the allies would have finished Germany even without American help. It might have taken a bit longer --- into 1919 probably.

I suspect you are thinking the Russians may have eventually pushed back the Germans on their own Eastern front? (Obviously your not saying the Russians would have been able to take back, take over, or free, western Europe, right)

I believe it was the extensive build up and construction of American made supplies, most especially the thousands of american made bombers and fighters airplanes that allied and American pilots used to destroy Germanys factories, fuel and supplied materials infrastructure. Not destroyed, but Germanys building power, fuel and air offense was severely reduced, long enough to invade without much of a german air defense to contend with.

There's a reason we don't want Europe armed to the teeth, Trump doesn't appreciate how bad that could turn out. Like the tariffs Trump is thinking about getting more money coming into the US federal government that way. It's the worst foreign diplomacy I think I've ever seen.
