Trump may nominate three Supreme Court justices during his two terms in office?

Sweep (rowing), also used historically. A Sweep in cricket, a shot played in cricket. A nickname for football player Shaun Wright-Phillips. Sweep, winning a series or contest without any losses, including. Winning 3-0 in Major League Baseball Division Series.

How is it called in Cricket when an old woman breaks three ribs?

Well prayers would be number 1 thing needed for the Lady Justice at this time.

If she was my mother I would recommend retirement.

We up top the mountain support retirement for everyone when the age comes.

Most people retire between the ages of 50 and 66.

Seems 85 is a little overdue.

Poor lady walks staring down at the ground she's all bent over and not to be mean but, she looks tired.

Look if it works out that way for Trump that's just the way it works out. Just the consequences of the ones that put Trump in office.

Mock those you disagree with and straw man their argument.

Good tactic.
I dunno, Hammster; while she may be mocking them**, sadly, she did not straw man their argument. That is how it is being presented in more than one thread.

**..or not, she says, and I have no reason not to believe her, that it was meant in gentle humor, more mocking of that position than of them, if you catch my drift.

Okay people. We can move on now. I’m not explaining it anymore. ;)

Stole? Hardly. But I understand the logic behind the use of dysphemisms.
Stole? Pretty much.

But, new word - dysphemism! Which led to "dsypathy" which is truly the theme of this thread.

To the contrary, having an even number of justices, such as 8, is an issue.

Your "majority principle" was conceived in nothing more than Trump appointing a majority of justices to the Court that are ideologically opposite of you, something you find unpalatable, but not a very good reason for your view.

No, I'd appose someone appointing a majority of justices regardless of who the president is.

Not the way the system is set up.

You could take that on as a cause and work on changing that?

I learned from my wife when she told me to pick my battles.

Ammending the constitution is intentionally difficult, and while some minor improvements could be made here and there, I think there are much better things to focus on.

I am incredulous, and for good reason, given your justification for this view was to preclude the "sociopathic" president from appointing a majority of justices.

Just own it, you do not find as palatable the conservative justices Trump has appointed and will continue to appoint to the bench.

I am not persuaded at all that you would have been opposed to Obama, or opposed to some President in the future, appointing a majority of justices whose ideology so aligned with you, that ideologically they would pass for your twin.

RBG Out of Hospital and 'Doing Great'

Ruth Bader Ginsburg is on the mend after falling and fracturing three ribs. Her nephew, Daniel Stiepleman, said Thursday that the 85-year-old Supreme Court Justice was “up and working” and “doing great,” adding that she’s cracking jokes, Reuters reports.

Thoughts and prayers for the goats.

Just because she fell and fractured three ribs doesn't mean she is going to retire. My guess is she doesn't want a conservative to take her place and will try and hang in there until a different President is in office.
The other possibility is that we aren't being told the whole story and the fall is worse than it says it was.

well my main concern with her is that would it limit her mobility enough to make going to the courthouse or what ever hard is all.

I would say 70 is a good cut off age for public office. I hate to be ageist but I believe you should at least be close enough in age to connect with the society you've been elected to govern.
