by "you" i do not mean you personally - im just making a a point .

you see (to all readers) it is one thing to point a finger and say look at them, they should be doing this not that ...
but we become only increasingly guilty of our own accusation if we are ourselves not doing what we judge they SHOULD be doing - when were we excused from obedience ? the greatest shortfall in Christendom is not the sins of doing wrong - its the sin of NOT doing what we are to do in Christ .

Yeshuafan, I agree that there are things done in name of Christ that are not of Him, but don't throw out the baby with the bath water! The devil is a usurper and a copycat. We have to be able to discern the fake from the real, but we shouldn't assume that it's all fake just because some of it is.

Not all, but much of what is going on today in Charismatic circles is not of the Holy Spirit, as they would hold to false doctrines and misunderstandings of what the Bible actually teaches!

One way God shows His love is through His miracles! Do you think that Jesus and the apostles healed people for some reason other than love??? God does the same today, and I pray that you will know the love of Jesus through His healing power.

God can still heal, but there are no faith healers!

“I did tell you and you don’t believe,” Jesus answered them. “The works that I do in My Father’s name testify about Me. But you don’t believe because you are not My sheep. My sheep hear My voice, I know them, and they follow Me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish — ever! No one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one.”

That passage is mainly addressing those who will come to Jesus to get saved by Him, and all of the redeemed indeed hear from God in the scriptures!

I am not concerned in private prayer inside a room. What concerns me is the loud gibberish utterances in a congregation.

Yes, thru medicine, surgeons, divine healing etc, and many times He also chooses to allow the Christian to die and pass on to glory!

we know that when the scriptures are preached, the Holy Spirit takes that and uses them to exalt Jesus, but he does not work thru gibberish! now if the person is speaking say Hebrew, and one can interpret that correctly....
