David this is what has already been stated to you. No I do not. As shown earlier the ROMAN Catholic Church became the offical religion of ROME in 380 AD before this time it was still the early Church. The early Church started back with Jesus and the Apostles. According to tradition, the history of the Catholic Church begins with Jesus Christ and his teachings (c. 4 BC – c. AD 30) (Wiki History of the Roman Catholic Church)

The RCC did not exist during the early church.

Damien I am still catching up on many posts I have not had a chance to respond to. But this is an easy one.

Your trying to make an argument for Sunday worship by quoting the scriptures that refer to the first day of the week to try and say that Sunday was the new day of worship right?

However, if you study the scriptures with some detail you will see that the scriptures clearly teach that God's people gathered EVERYDAY of the week.

ACTS 2:46-47 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

ACTS 5:42 Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah.

None of the scriptures you have provided here in your post says that God's 4th commandment is notw Abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day now do they?

God's 4th Commandment is one of the 10 Commandments that give us the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL; SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4; PSLAMS 119:172 and if we break any one of them we stand guilty before God of SIN *JAMES 2:10-11.

Hope this helps.

God made everyday but not everyday is the Lord's day as described in REVELATION 1:10 and MATTHEW 12:8.

Of all the days of the week it is God's SABBATH day from the 4th Commandment of the 10 Commandments that God's commands his people to REMEMBER and keep HOLY because it is HIS DAY of rest that he commands his people to keep as a memorial of CREATION *GENESIS 2:1-3. It is the only day of the week that God BLESSED, SANCTIFIED and MADE HOLY and has commanded us to do no work of business or business transactions on this day.

ISAIAH 58:13 If you turn away your foot from the SABBATH, from doing your pleasure on MY HOLY DAY [God's ownership of the day]; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honorable; and shall honor him, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words:

EXODUS 31:12-18 [12] Then the Lord said to Moses, [13] Say to the Israelites, You must observe MY SABBATHS. This will be a sign between me and you for the generations to come, so you may know that I am the Lord, who makes you holy.

WHICH DAY IS THE LORD'S DAY?

MATTHEW 12:8[8], FOR THE SON OF MAN IS LORD EVEN OF THE SABBATH DAY

Yep seems like God's SABBATH DAY is the LORD'S DAY alright.

God bless you as you seek him through his Word.

Everyday...... we as Christians celebrate our Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, everyday. The Sabbath is the day of rest commanded by God for Israel, this will never change.

One man observes one day while others observe every day. Either way, there is observance and God is pleased.
Blessings.

Hello Sister, God's people follow God's WORD. Jesus says if you love me keep my commandments. No one said you should not worship God everyday. We should. However God commands his people and says that the SEVENTH DAY of the week is God's 4th commandments of the 10 Commandments and God commands his people to keep it as a HOLY DAY of rest as a memorial of creation. We are do do no work on this day. If we KNOWINGLY break it just like any of the 10 commandments we stand guilty before God of sin *JAMES 2:10-11; ROMANS 3:19.

God's ISRAEL in the NEW COVENANT are all those who BELIEVE and FOLLOW God's WORD. If you are not a part of God's ISRAEL than you have no part in the NEW COVENANT promise *HEBREWS 8:10-12. Gentile BELIEVERS under the NEW COVENANT are now grafted in to God's ISRAEL *ROMANS 11:13-26.

God bless.

Of course it did. It was the early church. The early Church started back with Jesus and the Apostles. According to tradition, the history of the Catholic Church begins with Jesus Christ and his teachings (c. 4 BC – c. AD 30) (Wiki History of the Roman Catholic Church)
The Roman Catholic Church never existed at the time of Jesus. That is illogical and incorrect.

Also, we use the lower case, 'church', to distinguish the universal church from the specific, Roman Catholic Church. Do you see the difference, one has upper case and the other lower case.

In the English language, the upper case first letter indicates a proper noun. Hence the name, ' Roman Catholic Church' is all in upper case. Where as the church is general or universal, is in lower case.

So catholic is different to Catholic, one is a proper noun, a specific name. To give you some idea of this distinction, when the Roman Catholic Church exerted it's sole authority over the Roman Empire. Two church regions were not under the direct control of the Roman pope, Jerusalem and Antioch.

The reason given that these two churches, Jerusalem and Antioch, were exempt was that they existed before the Church in Rome.

Gentile believers are now grafted in to God's ISRAEL *ROMANS 11:16-23.

The term "Isreal" is not even mentioned in that scripture. Is that another unfounded conclusion you all created? If not, how do you conclude that from that scripture.

Also, a general comment, when SDA began to teach things as clearly not biblical as what they say the mark of the beast is, it becomes tough to take them seriously on anything they say. Pushing that nonsense was one f the biggest mistakes they ever made, but probably a good thing they did. You all just got too far out there, and it's now biting you back.

Applying a 24 hour day of the week as in Saturday is not the Lord's Day. Since when has fleshly ordenances become Holy onto God?

Romans 8 deals with a mind governed by the flesh as opposed to a mind governed by the Spirit.

True worship is a mind governed by the Spirit within the new testament Temple construct as opposed to the mind governed by the flesh within the old testament temple construct.

Jesus said he is greater than their temple and to proclaim this, Jesus is distinguishing himself from their temple and their sabbaths that were directly associated with that OT temple.

Christians apply the word and the commandments in the Spirit within the New Testament Temple construct.

The Sabbath is therefore spiritual and is applied in the heart. We gather on Sunday to commemorate the event where we entered God's Rest Day by Christ's Holy works on the Cross.

The Lord rested from his works on the Cross and we too rest from our works of flesh and commemorate the day where in a single day Jesus restored us to the Garden, granting us full access to the Tree of Life.

A Christian rests with his Lord on Sunday and enters the New Day which is to this day the same day that is today.

Saturday has no spiritual significance to God's Rest Day. We are not Judaisers.

There is no scripture in all of God's WORD that says God's 4th commandment is now abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day. This is a teaching and traditions of men handed down from the Roman Catholic Church that has led many to break the commandment of God. I believe however the scriptures teach that God's people are in every Church living up to all the light God has revealed to them. Those who love God's WORD will hear his Voice (the Word of God) and come out to worship him in Spirit and in truth. JESUS says that those who knowingly follow the teachings and traditions of men that break the commandments of God are not following God *MATTHEW 15:3-9. In times of ignorance God winks at but when a knowledge of the truth is come calls all men everywhere to repent and follow his Word *ACTS 17:30-31

God's sheep hear his Voice (the Word of God)

May God bless you brother as you seek him through his WORD.
So you don't consider the day our Lord ressurected as important?

The Sabbath is therefore spiritual and is applied in the heart.

It's also ceremonial, unlike any other commandment, and a sign between Israel and God. And most of those commandment are carried over into the new testament in the lists I mention below, but not the one on the Sabbath.

The argument that you have made in this post is the same as saying that because the 10 Commandment were given to ISRAEL then Christians are ok to lie, steal and murder, worship other God's, commit adultery. You do not believe this now do you brother? But that is the very argument you are making above.

No, you aren't thinking. As I've said several times over the past few days, and you ignored each time, there are lists of sins throughout the bible that damn us to hell. The sabbath is not listed while the others are, which makes your comment that I'm saying the other sins are ok, completely untrue...I have said all along they are not OK. Those listed are said to specifically keep us from seeing the Kingdom of God.

The sins that tend to be listed in those list are simply put, and specific warnings. It's god repeating it several times (several lists) in order to get through to us, exactly what matters to him. And once again, whether you chose to see it or not, the Sabbath is not ever even close to being mentioned in even one of those lists. I'd guess because it's ceremonial, just as burnt offerings were, and all God wants from us in reality is not to hurt one another like those listed sins keep us from doing, like murder, theft, liars and so forth.

God also insists we help one another, hence the Parable of the sheep and the goats...another simply stated, very clear mention of what's going to happen to us if we don't do what he says to do there.

Sorry brother history disagrees with you. In the 4th Century that is when the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH became the official religion of ROME. The early Church started back with Jesus and the Apostles. The Roman Catholic Church never existed at the time of Jesus. That is illogical and incorrect.

There is a difference between the Roman Catholic Church that was officially accepted by pagan ROME and the early Church. Please stop stating things I am not saying to you. Well that is not true brother. Try reading the scriptures * ROMANS 11:13-26. If you are not a part of God's ISRAEL you have no part in the NEW COVENANT *HEBREWS 8:10-12.

Your comments are not based on scripture and you are speaking your own words over God's WORD. Do you have any scripture to share? If not why do you not believe the scriptures provided? Only God's WORD is true and we should believe and follow it over the teachings and traditions of men that break the commandments of God.

Do you have any scripture to show that the LORD'S DAY is SUNDAY and that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a HOLY DAY?

God's 4th Commandment is one of the 10 Commandments that give us the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL; SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4; PSLAMS 119:172 and if we break any one of them we stand guilty before God of SIN *JAMES 2:10-11.

...........

SIN is the breaking of God's Commandments (James 2:9-11; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4)
Those who CONTINUE in UNREPENTANT SIN will NOT enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

...........

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has led many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

In times of ignorance God winks at but now, <when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).

Actually no it is not ceremonial. It is memorial *EXODUS 20:8. There were ceremonial sabbaths however but these were not God's 4th commandment and were connected to feast days *LEVITICUS 23 and the OLD COVENANT sin offerings which were for most days of the week.

Those who continue in KNOWN UNREPENTANT sin do not enter the kingdom of GOD *HEBREWS 10:26-27 because they reject the GIFT of God's dear son *ROMANS 6:23. Niether do they know God *1 JOHN 2:3-4.

SIN is the breaking of God's Commandments (James 2:9-11; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4)
