we need the money for our military, which keeps you canadians safe.

Not really, considering how over-funded your military is. You pour all your money into that, meanwhile people cannot even get a proper education in public schools. (Yes, public schools are necessary since not everybody can afford to pay for private schooling).

If, like Donald Trump, your measure of success is your ability to bully and dominate others - be the most powerful
- then, yes, you would be jealous of a superpower.

But aren’t we supposed to follow that model set by that guy from Nazareth. You know, the one who criticized those who seek power and praised the meek?
it's amazing how the media brainwashes people.

border crossings in israel reduced 99% after the wall was erected. what families?

if universal healthcare works why did it fail so miserably under the 2-term obama administration?

nk quit showing off its nuclear missiles in its annual parades and is not threatening the US anymore. and trump singlehandedly ended the korean war.

Where do you get your news? I'm pretty sure that Palestinians also have families and those are the one's I believe the poster was referring to. The U.S. has never had Universal Healthcare so it is impossible for it to have failed during the Obama administration. And lastly I'm pretty sure the Korean War is not ended, it is, I believe, still a ceasefire.

You know, America needs a well funded military to keep up its long warmongering history. This article is three years old, so we'll have to add those three years to the years America has been at war.

Don't you think it's odd for America to be referred to as a Christian nation when owning a gun is a right, but having adequate healthcare and an education is considered to be a privilege?

you asked the question.
Nonsense!

Do you have even the vaguest notion of how responsible debate goes?

You made a claim; you have the obligation to provide the evidence to support the claim.

Yep. Until that is resolved the US is not a Christian nation.

So why did modern day Israel get to change those those borders? If you read the history the partition was far different when GB handed the territory over to both the Israelis and the Palestinians. The ACA is still the law of the land. It is however definitely not Universal Healthcare. As for the Korean War being over it is no more over than it was the day the ceasefire began.

It has been my experience on CF that this very common knowledge is often ignored when an individual has no strong corroborating evidence of their claims.

America has never been a Christian nation. It isn't a Christian nation now and it never will be. America has legalized abortion, legalized inappropriate contentography and a serial adulterer who has affairs with inappropriate content stars and bragged about sexually groping women is its current president. And this is the president who is vastly supported by the Christian Right because he isn't a liberal Democrat. If Donald Trump had won the presidential election as a liberal Democrat, the Christian Right would have condemned him for his immoral and sexual deviant behavior. Evangelicals never would have backed him if he was a liberal.
