Stay encouraged all you praying Christians that are interceding for your nation.

What are you expecting as a result of your prayers for the nations?

As I have been saying for a while now, there are no biblical passages mandating inevitable moral decline in the nations prior to the 1 Thessalonians 4:17 event. The Lord woke me up to this about 4 years ago, and I have been proclaiming it everywhere I can. If your pastor or teacher tells you otherwise, then you can choose to ignore it. Continue to stand in the gap for your country, not only believing that the Lord can heal our nation, but that He will continue to do so--if we do our duty in interceding for our communities, nations and leaders.

Pray Christians, like you never have before. Pray for your nation's sake, pray for this 2018 election cycle (ballots are already being cast in many states), pray for your children's sake.

We must remember to pray for the members of this website as well.

Mat 5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

Mat 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

“Ye are the salt of the earth...” (Mat 5:13)

Salt certainly preserves.

Salt certainly make something more desirable.

Salt certainly is a vital nutrient and thus nourishes.

Salt certainly affects the entirety of that to which it is applied.

Christians have been charged with not only representing the Truth, but also to affect the whole earth. Salt affects the entirety of that to which it is applied.

Here is some good verses that bear on the subject of the Saints praying for the
nations. But before those, I have included a reference to the prayers of the
Jerusalem Chruch that resulted in a miraculous deliverance of Peter from prison.
That passage demonstrates just how effective targeted and persistent prayer can
be.

Genesis 18:23-32 King James Version (KJV)

23 And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?

24 Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?

25 That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

26 And the Lord said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.

27 And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, which am but dust and ashes:

28 Peradventure there shall lack five of the fifty righteous: wilt thou destroy all the city for lack of five? And he said, If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy it.

29 And he spake unto him yet again, and said, Peradventure there shall be forty found there. And he said, I will not do it for forty's sake.

30 And he said unto him, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: Peradventure there shall thirty be found there. And he said, I will not do it, if I find thirty there.

31 And he said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord: Peradventure there shall be twenty found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for twenty's sake.

32 And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake.

Jer 29:4 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, unto all that are carried away captives, whom I have caused to be carried away from Jerusalem unto Babylon;
Jer 29:5 Build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them;
Jer 29:6 Take ye wives, and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; that ye may be increased there, and not diminished.
Jer 29:7 And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.

Are we praying for the peace of our individual countries and the cities we live in?
