SPLC Leads Soros-Funded Groups in 'Orwellian' Attempt to Ban 'Hate Speech' on Social Media

George Soros wants to police speech online using the SPLC (which has nothing to do with the south, or poverty, or being a law center)

*** I am editing out one example i made reagarding an example from the article, it was meant as an example EXPLICITLY from the article. I removed it, because thats all people focused on, not the censorship happening as a whole***

Love me or hate me, i censored myself to push my agenda, to show you that censorship is happening, its coming, and we ALL should oppose it. Times change, free speech shouldnt

The LGBTQ crowd insists they do not have an agenda ....

If they did, would you count on them to admit it.
The point of the story is to show how one group, with a political agenda iteslf, wants to be the arbiter of Speech online. Where THEY decide whats HATE.
I jusy highlighted one segment of their agenda, pushing for the suppresion of speech that calls out lgbtq issues.
They will of course, censor alot of things not related to that as well.

Its just an example to show

the gay agenda, not to be confused with the gay address book or the gay daily planner, is at best a joke. Anti-gay groups often pull out a "copy" of the gay agenda they claim is the 1972 Gay Rights Platform enacted at the National Coalition of Gay Organizations Convention. This document however didn't exist until 1991 when it was first published by the Family research council.

Other than being respected as human beings and citizens.

Of course they are humans, they are citizens.
Nobody denies that.

Censorship is coming, and if you look at the article, it shows plainly that a group with a political agenda (SPLC) wants to be the "Law on speech online".

I just pointed out one example above. Its alot bigger than just that one thing.

Free speech should be universal, the hate, as well as love. (Of course not threats, or calls to violence, or illegal things) But there was a time when the norm was, "I Dont like your message, but I'll fight for you to have the right to tell it".

That era is gone, it seems to me.

When was you last time you asked a LGBTQ person if they felt as if they were treated as an equal human being, citizen?

I edited the description, so as not to have people focus on the issue, i thought would stand as an example of whats being pushed as censorship.

Getting push back on what is said is not censorship. As a matter of fact complaining about the push back and wanting to prevent it is the real censorship.

your linked article doesn't seem to actually say this. hmmmmm

Ive changed the description to edit that out. Since thats all SOME focus on.

" Most people think of hate speech as somebody encouraging physical violence," Staver argued. Groups like the SPLC "extend it to anybody who doesn't accept their view on LGBT issues, same-sex marriage, abortion, immigration, or Islam."

Is from the article. But can we not use that one example, here there is so much more being censored. All sorts of free speech, with one group wanting to be the decision makers.

Times change, freedom of speech shouldnt.
I was hoping to show that, bot get bogged down in lgbt things, it covers alot more than that.
Thank you

I fail to see how allowing censorship, is good.
You do realize times change, the other foot could come down in the future, and everything you hold dear would be censored?
Free speech, is the only way.

The fact that anyone thinks that limiting free speech in the US is a good idea is troubling. Whether it's love or hate speech people should be able to voice their opinions.

Limiting the rights of all over feelings being hurt is a decision that lacks foresight in my opinion.

Can we admit that gay people ought to be treated fairly as equal citizens in a secular state and also admit that there is a segment of the population (who are usually not themselves gay) that confuses this with literally praising anything and everything a gay person or a group of gay people might do, as though that's the standard for what fairness or equality looks like across the whole society (gay and straight) when it very clearly isn't?

I have no problem admitting both, and saying that only one of these is a reflection of the type of society I actually want to live in.

Who said censorship is good?
Oh, the folks who want to censor any negative feedback about their views.

The truth certainly is getting bogged down.

The SPLC used and publishes the legal definition of hate speech that clearly says that for something to be hate speech it has to used by someone during the act of or the commission of an underlying crime including but not limited to intimidation, slander or to incite violence.

Questioning the lgbtq agenda is protected by the first amendment.

One doesn't have to go far to find liberal censorship, speech-codes, and the practical abolition of one's first amendment rights.

Well if it isn't that far how about an example?

Didnt you see the link in the beginning?

Also a simple search for, "Conservatives banned off facebook, twitter," will come up with alot of links to news about mass censorship.

Dont forget about the censorship of Alex Jones, the respected newsman from Texas.
He was censored, banned from social media, paypal, twitter, YouTube, apple, android, etc.

Recently facebook banned 800 pages, twitter was in the 1,000's.

Its a shame social media companies have benefited from American laws, but then deny the very thing to its customers.
