Do You Think God Has a Sense of Humor?

Of course! Have you ever seen a kangaroo?

He says that He laughs at pagan idols made of wood stone and metal.

Yes, surely we didn't add sense of humor or laughter to the creation. You can observe sense of humor even in many animals.
But also, here's a few verses I find funny:

[Numbers 11:21-23]: And Moses said, “The people whom I am among are six hundred thousand men on foot; yet You have said, ‘I will give them meat, that they may eat for a whole month.’
Shall flocks and herds be slaughtered for them, to provide enough for them? Or shall all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to provide enough for them?”

And the LORD said to Moses, “Has the LORD’s arm been shortened?"

(Prophet Elijah runs away, scared, tired and demoralized):
[1 Kings 19:9-13]:
"And there he went into a cave, and spent the night in that place; and behold, the word of the LORD came to him, and He said to him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”

So he said, “I have been very zealous for the LORD God of hosts; for the children of Israel have forsaken Your covenant, torn down Your altars, and killed Your prophets with the sword. I alone am left; and they seek to take my life.”
Then He said, “Go out, and stand on the mountain before the LORD.” And behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice.

So it was, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. Suddenly a voice came to him, and said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”

To add to the kangaroo comment: Have you seen a platypus? They're amazingly hilarious, albeit poisonous. So are capybaras, minus the poison. Giant silly, very social rodents that every other animal loves. They're like a living chair that you can pet.


As one of the comments on this video put it, "Capybaras are basically just dogs if the dogs were mice." That's the goofiest thing I've ever heard, but seems to be pretty accurate.

Of course God has a sense of humor! He made us and all of these other wacky things.

Yes, when he spoke to Balaam through his donkey! Hahaha!
Numbers 22:28-29 28Then the LORD opened the donkey's mouth, and it said to Balaam, "What have I done to you to make you beat me these three times?" 29Balaam answered the donkey, "You have made a fool of me! If only I had a sword in my hand, I would kill you right now."
And the fool answered the donkey.....

All I can say is He must have, given how life goes sometimes. Plus it does say we are made in His image. We do, He must have too.

Yes. I do not remember examples, but at times things come to mind which have me laughing out loud, and I rarely laugh at what people say when they are trying to get me to laugh.

Question: Who was the funniest person in the Bible?
Answer: Samson. He brought the house down.

Answer: Noah. He was floating his stock while everyone else was in liquidation.

Question: What is the difference between Catholics and Baptist’s?

Answer: Catholic’s will actually acknowledge each other at the liquor store.

I do! Early this morning I prayed for help to get rid of this spirit of irritability toward people. 7:30 am a good friend who irritates me constantly called and said she'd be over in a half hour. I laughed and perhaps God did also. He carried me through her visit with ease!

I certainly hope God has a sense of humor because I have definitely done and said some things that I would not want Him to take too seriously.

I was only thinking about this recently myself. I would say He would have to have a sense of humour as we were made in His image, so a sense of humour is one of His qualities. Genesis 1:27. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

I believe so since we are made in his image and all of us have some sense of humor.
