Hi to all my Christian bros and sisters. Over the past 10 years, 3 of my brothers in law committed suicide. Two of them were my husband's brothers and the third was my sister's husband.

My husband is an ordained minister and has always been considered the rock in the family, though he would say that only Jesus is the Rock. He and his siblings grew up with a very abusive alcoholic father and a mom who was never affectionate but held things together the best she could and was a Christian mom and tried her best to set Christian examples for her kids.

Right now this family is reaching a new crisis that desperately needs your prayers. My husband's sister spent 17 years in law enforcement; 11 of those years she investigated the worse crimes against children one can imagine, including murder. But she was always like a lioness protecting kids and going after criminals. Eventually, her work started to cause PTSD, and she had to give up work in Crimes Against Children for investigative work elsewhere. This was about 6 years ago.

Then she lost both of her grandsons 2 years after that (4 years ago) and has been suicidal on and off since then. She also became addicted to prescription drugs during the last 4 years as she has been self-medicating her emotional pain. As we watched her decline, we grew more and more concerned for her until my husband and I agreed that if something drastic does not happen to change his sister's situation, we would lose her as well.

We thank God she finally came to the realization that she needed help and checked into a 35-day rehab facility. She has been there less than 2 weeks and cannot have visitors until next Sunday. We are definitely going. We love her.

We are praying for her daily - knowing that she is far from where she needs to be and that her near future - even after rehab will require a long road of of hard work on her part as well as our full support and love - and with God all things are possible.

I want so much for my sister in law to find healing and more than hope; to find joy. She has been a Christian since she was a child. I've seen her worship, heard her prayers, and been a witness to who she is for 25 years, so I am convinced of her salvation.

Please pray for my sister in law and friend, Mary. Any advice or Word from the Lord - please share with me. I would love to get her the book Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyer. I want so much to encourage her to listen to and read Joyce Meyer as I believe some of the resources for Mary's needs lie there. But I don't want to do anything out of just my own concern; but because the Lord has directed me. Please pray for Mary and for her loving husband; for her two sons and daughter; for my husband, who loves her so dearly (as do I).

Thanks all. I appreciate anything that comes from God.

Will pray for Her eyes to see her family God has blessed Her with, and tell Her to agree in prayer with all that the Hedge of God go's unbroken from now on.
Pray that God will remove Her past memories and know those Children are in the arms of our Lord.
Will Pray Her mind enters into the rest of God ,and she fully recover.
Will Pray she will be Stronger than ever through Christ.

2 Corinthians 4: 5. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. 6. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 7. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. 8. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9. Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; 10. Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

Prayers for your precious sister Mary.:prayer:

She would have seen things no one should have to see but she did it out of great love for ones who couldn't help themselves. I'm sure her spirit has been burdened for a long time with memories of this.
I pray she would cast all these burdens on Jesus who is the only one who can bear them and in doing so she will find rest for her soul.
Your family has had many sorrows, I am sad that you all have had to go through it.

Only our God can truly understand it all but I pray you will all be strengthened, putting the full armour of God on and He tells us by doing so we will stand.
May He bless you all for your courage and faith amidst such adversity.

Opiode use is the leading cause of death for those under 50. Life expectancies in the US have been declining for two years due to opiode overdoses.

Soaring opioid drug deaths cause U.S. life expectancy to drop for 2nd year

Drug abuse is an epidemic killing people and ruining communities. It is better to endure pain than lean on pain killers.

Quite a heartbreaking story to read. Thanks for sharing. I really don't know what to say, but I pray that God will shower His love on your sister in law and give her the strength for each day. May God bring healing into her life physically and spiritually. Amen. Your husband is right, Jesus is the only Rock. He is our Rock of ages who cleft for us and let us hide ourselves in Thee... If I should recommend any book, it is this - Empowered by Praise by Dr. Michael Youseff. God bless.

This Scripture is perfect. It says everything I cannot say. I have recently read this passage of Scripture several times. I am encouraged because you sent it to me; or actually, the Lord sent it to me through you. Thank you. I agree with your prayers. God bless you in a rich and unusual way very soon!

We don't know any details as of yet. Her husband, Rob calls my husband, Rowland every other day or so. They discuss Mary's issues and how she got to this point; what to do after her stay, and of course pray. She finally bathed and got out of bed after 10 days. The facility is supposed to be upscale; like a mansion. That sounds nice but what matters is the quality and skill of the doctors and therapists. Rob knows that we stand on the ready and will tag-team with him so that Mary might be held accountable in love. We pray for continued rehabilitation after her stay at the facility.

It is ultimately up to her. She is a stubborn lady; an ex cop; a marathon-runner with a Masters degree in criminal science. Yet, she is terrified of digging around for old hidden wounds. Mary is an incredible woman; a protector and guardian of children with nearly 300 convictions during her tenure with Crimes Against Children. Now she is a shell of the woman I have always known and a deeply wounded soul. YET GOD... GOD - OUR CREATOR - COUNSELOR - HEALER - SALVATION - HE KNOWS ALL AND SEES ALL .... and He has her right in the crook of his arm. Row, Rob and I are trusting Him to guide all of us in wisdom and clarity. Thank you so much for your thoughts and concerns. This means a lot to me.

May He bless you all for your courage and faith amidst such adversity.

Thank you for that prayer. It is the right kind of prayer because I think (I may be wrong), but Paul never prayed for anyone's burden to be taken away... he always prayed that they would be able to endure with strength, courage, wisdom and love.

There is something incredible happening to our family. Mary's troubles are our most serious concern, but on top of this, I have had 7 major surgeries in 6 years due to an undiagnosed autoimmune disorder. Before that began, I was on life support for seven days not responding to treatment for an infection in my lungs (autoimmune). Prayer saved my life.

And just a year or so before that happened, I witnessed a special needs teacher hitting a disabled child at the school where I helped teach Asperger's children. After investigating, the teacher admitted it. But by then I was hated as a whistle-blower and transferred; placed in a class where a violent child beat on me and clawed at me almost every day. I asked for 4 meetings with the principal; each time I asked to be placed in another class as I did not have the proper training and because I suffer from PTSD. I was clearly not wanted and eventually had to quit for my health.

We as a family unit have been attacked by the enemy, and each one of us has been personally targeted by satan at one point or another. I believe it is because God is doing something great here, and all our pain, sickness, and sorrow is about to become joy and clarity and thankfulness.

My husband and I were pastors before and are preparing for that again after the first of the year. For the last year, it has felt like God is constantly present in an almost tangible way. We feel excited and joyful; not knowing what tomorrow brings. But we have peace in Him even in the midst of all these storms. We resist the temptation to fear and instead put our trust in the Lord.
But prayers are good. Prayers are coveted. Pray and lift us up when you can. Thank you so so much!

Thank you very much. I hope and pray she will choose to go the hard road; get it behind her, and then live without so much grief. She has saved many children's lives. She could write a book. God looks out for and protects people like Mary. Thank you again so much.
