***The Sabbath time (Friday evening until Sundown Saturday) has the most blessings.

Back on July 16, 1999, after I read “The Marked Bible” book's Tenth Chapter

and I decided to keep the Sabbath and seek out a church that did.,

The church I chose just happened to have a discussion about the Sabbath in the Pastor's Class

(one of 27 chapters of the doctrines book they were using).

I was “told” by the Holy Spirit that I had had my best intercessory prayer times in the past

during the Sabbath time

and I felt a wonderful peace about that

as I remembered when I did most of my unselfish praying.

When there is no Sabbath keeping church I can go to so I do the following:

By living Proverbs 3:5-6, I plan to begin Friday evening thinking more about and communicating with God

more than I usually do.

During the Sabbath time,

I sometimes watch a Christian film (either Friday evening or Saturday morning).

I listen to Rejoice radio or Word of Truth radio, do intercessory prayer,

watch Bible study programs via the Internet, or/and do ministry as the Holy Spirit urges.

I usually do not look at the Sports news or go shopping or do other selfish things

during “God's cathedral of time”.

I also usually do a Bible study tool for most of Saturday

because for me that is not work at all.

I usually don't have time to do such during the 6 days before.

Sometimes I take a nap.

Most of the time when I do the above list,

I have been blessed much more than when I have gone to a Sabbath keeping church

to have a wonderful Sabbath

because most attenders of such churches are legalistically keeping the Sabbath

only for 2-5 hours.

Same thing for Sunday church goers.

(Most of the time since 2000, I have gone to such too

usually for Bible teaching, which was a weakness in SDA churches.)

I have rebuked those who are against those who don’t worship on the day they do.

It is not a Salvation issue right now.

But Jesus Christ said that if we love Him, we would obey His commandments

and He was the one that wrote the Ten Commandments twice on Tablets (God the Father is a spirit).

He also said that He did not come to destroy God’s Law (not including the ordinances)

and they are indicated in the 1,050 commandments of the New Testament.

***The Pope who changed the Ten Commandments for the Catholic Bible was very wrong,

but he fulfilled the prophecy in Daniel 7:23-25—

“Thus he said,

‘The fourth beast shall be the fourth Kingdom upon Earth,

which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole Earth,

and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.

And the ten horns out of this Kingdom are ten kings that shall arise:

and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first,

and he shall subdue three kings.

And he shall speak great words against the most High,

and shall wear out the saints of the most High,

and think to change times and laws;

and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.”

“Notice what the Daniel 7 verse says the enemy does:

It says here that he will attempt to change both times and law.

He will attempt to redefine law and pull us out of God’s timing.”

“The authority of the church could therefore not be bound to the authority of the Scriptures,

because the Church had changed the Sabbath into Sunday,

not by command of Christ, but by its own authority.”-- Canon and Tradition, p. 263

“Is not every Christian obliged to sanctify Sunday

and to abstain on that day from unnecessary servile work?

Is not the observance of this law among the most prominent of our sacred duties?

But you may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation,

and you will not find a single line authorizing the sanctification of Sunday.

The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of Saturday, a day which we never sanctify.”

--James Cardinal Gibbons, The Faith of Our Fathers (1917 ed.), pp. 72, 73.

“The Catholic Church,” declared Cardinal Gibbons, “by virtue of her divine mission

changed the day from Saturday to Sunday.”-- Catholic Mirror Sept. 23 1983.

(Official organ of Cardinal Gibbons)

“Question - Which is the Sabbath day? Answer - Saturday is the Sabbath day.

Question - Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday?

Answer - We observe Sunday instead of Saturday

because the Catholic Church, in the Council of Laodicea (A.D. 364),

“The Bible says, ‘Remember that thou keep holy the Sabbath day.’

The Catholic Church says, ‘No!

By my divine power I abolish the Sabbath day, and command you to keep the first day of the week.’

And lo, the entire civilized world bows down in reverent obedience

to the command of the holy Catholic church!” -- Father Enright, C.S.S.R.

of the Redemptoral College, Kansas City, History of the Sabbath, p. 802

“Perhaps the boldest thing, the most revolutionary change the Church ever did, happened in the third century.

The holy day, the Sabbath, was changed from Saturday to Sunday.

‘The Day of the Lord’ was chosen,

not from any direction noted in the Scriptures,

but from the Church's sense of its own power ....

People who think that the Scriptures should be the sole authority,

should logically become Seventh-day Adventists, and keep Saturday holy.”

-- (Saint Catherine Church Sentinel, Algonac, Michigan, May 21, 1995.)

More information about the Sabbath is at Box

***Nehemiah 13:15-22 does not tell the full story about the Sabbath.

The Sabbath was made before the Ten Commandments were handwritten by God.

And Isaiah prophesied that the Sabbath will be on the New Earth.

Isaiah 66:23-- “And it will be, from one new moon to another,

and from one Sabbath to another,

all flesh will come to worship before Me, says Jehovah.”

God did not change the Sabbath day.

The 4th Commandment is right in the middle of the Ten and is the longest one,

so it had to be on both of the stone tablets.

And there are verses that say that God doesn't change.

Malachi 3:6a-- “For I am Jehovah, I change not.”

Psalm 89:34-- “I will not break My covenant, nor change the thing that has gone out of My lips.”

James 1:17-- “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above0

and comes down from The Father of lights,

with Whom is no variableness nor shadow of turning.”

Hebrews 13:8-- “Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today and forever.”

Jesus is the sabbath, he is the Lord of the sabbath and we rest in him. You can observe one day, or esteem it, while another has more understanding and does not. You have the freedom to observe sabbath, but there is no NT mandate to do so because Jesus himself is the sabbath and we rest in him. :)

Hebrews 4 talks about the Sabbath.
The Seventh Day and the Promised Land are the same thing.
4:4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
4:5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.

So the Seventh Day is not a reference to Saturday or the 7th day of the week, but to God's rest, which is Jesus Christ.

The Sabbath is a/the day of rest, not endless religious activities that only rob you of needed physical and mental rest. If one seeks a more spiritual life, get the rest* you need. Take advantage of the day off God gives you. In the prosperous West we generally have weekends off. Use the Sabbath for rest, Sunday for rituals and fellowshipping.

*If you really want to know how tired, fatigued, or exhausted you are mentally and physically try fasting. Most will be amazed.

I do not attend a Friday night or Saturday church. I usually listen to Christian music and sermons during what the Sabbath is still. I mentioned what I do during the Sabbath time. For me listening to Christian music and sermons, doing e-mail and Facebook and Linkedin ministries, doing logical indenting of Scripture, and doing intercessory praying is restful to me with restful eating 3 times. Sometimes I have taken a short nap in the afternoon.

Everyday is the Sabbath. Every day with Christ is holy. :D

That is not supported by Scripture. Check out John 16:13. So actually only when we are obedient to Holy Spirit and Scripture urges, will we be holy. And that won't be for a whole day, only parts of it. We are still very selfish and humanistic in living in the ending of the Age of Grace. Only temporary perfection can be achieved when obedient to the perfect Holy Spirit and the perfect Word of God.

***On May 3, 2013, late at night, the following questions came to mind.

Which logical order of importance should they be sorted?

What does a God-pleasing day include?

What does a God-pleasing church include?

What does a God-pleasing marriage include?

What does a God-pleasing family include?

What does a God-pleasing prayer include?

What does a God-pleasing Bible study include?

What does a God-pleasing church outreach include?

What does a God-pleasing fun or vacation include?

What does Philippians 4:4-8 mean in actual living?

What does Philippians 2:1-5 mean in actual living?

What does Ephesians 4:11-16 mean in actual living?

What does Jude 20-23 mean in actual living?

I stand by Romans 14:5 which states: One man regards a certain day above the others, while someone else considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind.

I don't see how John 16:13 is applicable in this instance.

That second verse says that the Holy Spirit says what He hears. Who is He hearing? Most of the time it is Jesus Christ Who had human experience and knows the proper timing for the Holy Spirit to speak or urge each believer. Look in John 14-16 for the true ministries of Him.

6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.

7 For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.

8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.

9 For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.

God, through his Spirit, will lead each of us to his desired perfection as individuals, not as CCC's (Cookie Cutter Christians).

Yeppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp.

1 Corinthians 3

10 According to the grace (the special endowment for my task) of God bestowed on me,

like a skillful architect and master builder I laid [the] foundation,

and now another [man or woman] is building upon it.

But let each [one] be careful how one builds upon it,

11 for no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is [already] laid,

which is Jesus Christ (The Messiah, The Anointed One).

12 But if anyone builds upon The Foundation, whether it be with

gold, silver, precious stones,

wood, hay, straw,

13 the work of each [one] will become [plainly, openly] known;

for the day [of Christ] will disclose and declare it,

because it will be revealed with fire,

and the fire will test and critically appraise

the character and worth of the work each person has done.

14 If the work which any person has built on this Foundation

[any product of his (or her) efforts whatever] survives [this test],

he (or she) will get his (or her) reward.

15 But if any person's work is burned up [under the test],

he (or she) will suffer the loss [of it all, losing his (or her) reward],

though he (or she) will be saved,

but only as [one who has passed] through fire.

***What is the most important fact in that passage? How do you know that verse 12 is about true Christians?

John 10

Jesus Christ said,

14 I am The Shepherd Who cares for the sheep.

I know My sheep just as The Father knows Me.

And My sheep know Me just as I know The Father.

I give My life for these sheep.

15 Even as the Father knows Me, I also know the Father.

And I lay down My life for the sheep.

16 I have other sheep too.

They are not in this flock here.

I must lead them also.

They will listen to My voice.

In the future there will be one flock and one Shepherd.

***What are the probable priorities of the two types of Gospel believers?

How can you improve in your use of time so that you are building more on the foundation of Jesus Christ?

27 My sheep listen to My voice.

I know them, and they follow Me.

28 I give My sheep Eternal Life.

They will never die,

and no one can take them out of My hand.

29 My Father is the one Who gave them to Me,

and He is greater than all.

No one can steal My sheep out of His hand.

30 The Father and I are One.”

Again one passage does not make good doctrine. I am not judging. And Scripture says that God changes not, so why would He change the Fourth Commandment of the Tenth. It is His cathedral of Time for humankind. Do you reject the other Ten Commandments too? And why did the Apostle Paul keep the Sabbath. While we still of religious freedom, churches should be hosting either church or/and home group Bible studies every day and every night to learn eternal truths and pray together for doing Great Commission outreach. I can help that to happen for free. We cannot share what we don't have.

God hates religion. He wants to be loved and obeyed a lot more. Ephesians 2:10 says there are predestined/preplaned good works that true Christians should walk in (do). They they are blessed with righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Have you lived Philippians 4:4-8 for even a few hours in Saturday or Sunday mornings?
