Matthew 21:31

To Believe in Jesus, or Put Faith in Jesus, for Salvation, means to do what Jesus tells you to do to go to heaven. John the Baptist did not die for our sins. Yet John had the Holy Spirit within him, and those who believed his message, and accepted his baptism, were going to heaven, through Jesus Blood, according to Jesus. When Jesus tells us to Believe in Him to go to heaven, He means to do what He tells you to do to go to heaven, through Jesus' Blood.
John 12:44
Jesus proclaimed aloud: "Whoever puts faith in me believes not so much in me as in him who sent me; and whoever looks on me is seeing him who sent me. I have come to the world as its light, to keep anyone who believes in me from remaining in the dark.
