First of all, I like weed (I can't lie) but I know that it's not good for my health, but it seems like no one really cares nowadays.

So the bad side of me is like, "yaaaay I'm moving to Canada ASAP." But the Godly side of me is like, "No. No you're not." It's a hard life:tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

Yeah I imagine it's hard when you're addicted to pot to quit. I'm addicted to food and it's extremely difficult to stop. So I understand where you're coming from struggling with addiction.

Hey im from Ontario too! Do you know where Cornwall is? Its a small city about 45 minutes from Ottawa. Thats where I was born. I lived there before I moved to the states until I was seven. So its like American laws where you can possess it and smoke it and not get charged? But you still can't sell it? I think that's kind of messed up. It still encourages the dangerous parts of buying marijuana from shady dealers and whatnot. I mean I guess if you're going to make pot legal you should allow the selling of it legal too.

*edit*

Nvm Jacksbratt answered my question.
You can't sell home brew alcohol or your own tobacco products from personal plants in Canada. Why should pot be any different?

Some people seem to get this idea that it's either unregulated with no rules or it should be exempt from regulations. Both are wrong. It's highly regulated and is more strict than just tobacco or alcohol by themselves and it should be, without getting irrational special treatment.

From the moment it was legalized, the Ontario Cannabis Store (administered by the Provincial government) opened as an online store and the Canadian Postal Service will charge you 5$ to deliver it to your residence in Ontario. They'll require age verification before they hand it over. Walk in stores are set to open next April as long as the county or municipality hasn't banned that type of business.

The reason for their delay is it takes time for businesses to read the legislation and prepare accordingly. The reason why smaller districts can ban them is there was still some pockets of push back on legalization.

I listen to the CBC radio at work and for the past few days I'm sort of inundated with all this info. Numerous segments they do keep repeating the same information. I've got it in my head like one of those songs you can't stop hearing.o_O

1. Marijuana is called a carrier drug
It gets utilised to.carry other recreational drugs.
3. The plant grows like weed, that's why they call it weed. Governments can't control it
4. The reason governments have stopped banning it is because governments want to tax it. The revenues lost in tax by the smoke cessation campaign has cost governments literally trillions in tax.
5. The cannaboid molecule has the potential to be modified in future just as morphine was.the mother moleculr to many opiate medications, maijuana may have the potential to other molrcules.
6. If a person has an "addictive personaiity" it's near-impossible to block access to experimentation. They smoke anti-retroviral drugs mixed with heroine called "nyaope". Pne can not believe the mind-altering substances placed in the cigarettes

7. It's unpredictable how a person will react to marijuana. Some people become frankly psychotic but one doesn't know whether the precursors for psychosis was not allready present prior to the exposure.
8. People use it for medicinal purposes. One side'effect of pain is the angst that accompanies pain. This can place a person in a "pain cycle" where pain leads to angst which heightens the level of pain experienced. It may be that marijuana heightens the pain threshold, breaking the pain cycle.
9. Any hallucinogen dulls a persons senses to environmental stimuli. People can "hide" from the pain of living by using these substances. The long-term use of such substances and the abuse of such substanfes are dire. Just think of the long-term use and sbuse of alcohol and cigarette smoking. There are however individual susceptibility factors. Some people have a higher tolerance to alvohol tjan others. The same with smoking.
10. We know that the prevalence of neurotic disorders among populations can be between 30% and 60% depending on the population profile and depending on the case definitions used for diagnosis. The risk is that the customer of easily-accessible marijuana may already be the at-risk person for the development of dire mental and psychological side-effects. There are people who experience " pain of being alive." Just think of the prevalence tates of rhumatoid arthritis, chronic pain after operations, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis. The list is endless. The WHO (World health orhanisation) stated that health is not just the mere abscence of disease but also includes the presence of well-heing. Medical science has problems in obejctively measuring well-being. There are crude yardsticks such as pain scales where 1 out of 10 represents no pain and 10 out of 10 excrutiating pain but there is no blood test yet to measure pain. People are going to experiment with using this. Some may find henefit. Others may get harmed. It is the responsibilty of public health organisations to be proactive in this regard by getying the surveillance progtams into place so that objective evidence can be collected on the long'term effects of usage and abusage. The WHO opened the door to this monster by 20 years defining health the eay they did. That definition changed thr face of medicine forever. It broke the paternlistic model of the individual-to-individual doctor-patient relationship but has opened the sluse gates of population-based models of "seekers-of-wellbeing" under the guise of seeking "health".

Smoking is banned everywhere for "your health's sake",
yet marijuana is legal.

Eh...despite the legalization in most places where smoking is banned marijuana is also banned.

Keep in mind that marijuana can be eaten. It doesn't have to be smoked, but I mean, yeah, true, most people smoke it.

What do you mean when you say that you are addicted to food?

Hi. I mean that I eat. A lot. So much that I weigh almost 400 pounds. But I've been overweight almost my entire life.

I was close to that. When I got to sick to eat and I started losing weight my doctor would not even return my calls. He thought that was the end for me. My other doctor put me in physical therapy and then I started to eat again. I got down to about 230 at that time. The physical therapy people can do amazing things to help people in recovery.

Everything in life and in the universe has to do with balance. When we are out of balance our body system is still trying to restore that balance.

I lost about 60 pounds once by not eating too but I gained it all back and then some. Not eating is not a good way to lose weight because once you start eating again you gain it back. I haven't had physical therapy since I was a kid but it sounds like a good idea. It really helped when I was a kid (I was like 180 pounds when I was 11). They didn't give me PT because of my weight though I had fine motor skill problems.

Hi. I mean that I eat. A lot. So much that I weigh almost 400 pounds. But I've been overweight almost my entire life.
I struggle with food too from time to time.
I go on binges which make me hate myself and draw me apart from God afterwards cause then I feel too guilty to pray. (am I the only one?)
All I know is that it can become an addiction in the same way that drugs are an addiction to us.
Our enemy can use eating disorders to attack us and separate us from our Lord.
Let us be careful. Seek help. Prayers. Join support groups. Talk to pastors and older wiser people about it.
You're not alone.
We can do this :groupray:
May your life be a testimony that our Lord is alive and still works in marvelous ways.
Amen!

Well, it's just so easy to overeat. That's the whole thing. Lately I've been trying to cut down on my food intake because I'm almost 400 pounds now and It'd be nice if I lost at least 100 lbs. If I lost 100 lbs I'd feel SO much better. I mean, I remember what it was like to weigh 300 pounds even and it felt a lot better than it does now. But, exercising is a pain and now that winter is here I don't want to go out in the cold and exercise. It's a vicious circle. But... anyway... yeah if I could only eat less than I could lose maybe 20 lbs over the winter. That would be nice. It would also help if I had regular meals. I very rarely eat breakfast when I binge eat it's usually at supper and snacks at night. But... yeah if I could eat less I'd probably lose 20 lbs over the winter. Especially if I barely eat at all.

So I was browsing facebook and one of my hophead cousins from Canada posted that Canada legalized marijuana yesterday.

Apparently they've changed the flag design as well, to this. In the interim period, people are allowed to fly the old flag, but only upside down. And the national anthem has been changed to "O Cannabis."

Agreed. And Marijuana is just as bad for you as cigarettes. Both of them cause lung cancer among a wider degree of health problems. I mean I can see why they are legalizing marijuana around the world. Its the least bad for you drug among the drugs but it also gets you addicted to the worser highs like cocaine and meth. So its half like... Why?
Where did you hear all of that?
