So I was browsing facebook and one of my hophead cousins from Canada posted that Canada legalized marijuana yesterday. Now I was born in Canada and I cant seem to get over pot being legalized in my home country. Man it seems like marijuana is being legalized the world over. My current state of New York is one of the few American states that hasn't legalized marijuana yet. But I wouldn't use marijuana even if New York did legalize it. I don't care if you can buy marijuana in gas stations like you can cigarettes. With the way the world is going its only a matter of time.

Smoking is banned everywhere for "your health's sake",
yet marijuana is legal.

Agreed. And Marijuana is just as bad for you as cigarettes. Both of them cause lung cancer among a wider degree of health problems. I mean I can see why they are legalizing marijuana around the world. Its the least bad for you drug among the drugs but it also gets you addicted to the worser highs like cocaine and meth. So its half like... Why?

"Many people are allergic to marijuana." Has raised major concerns already.

Indeed. But as Christ's return gets more and more imminent were going to see things that are bad for you becoming legal. Like when the US legalized gay marriage in most of the states. Its now legal in all US states I believe but that's just one sign that Christ's return is getting sooner and sooner.

The Liberal Party legalized it because they are socialists.
Conservatives like the idea of "each one responsible for his/her own living"; but socialists don't -- they like people to depend on the government. What'd make more and more people to depend on the government? Isn't getting them addicted to drugs the quickest way??

True. And its apparently just as bad for you as cigerettes .Idk I've never smoked marijuana or did drugs in my life and I've had like a pack of cigarettes in my life. Neither are my cup of tree. I don't really drink alcohol all that much either.

It is about darn time the United States either made it legal or at the very least decriminalize and made it legally a state issue. States have already started to legalize it and the feds have decided they have bigger fish to fry why not just do it all the way?

If by the world over you mean two countries and if by one of the few American states you mean 41 out of 50, then yeah.

but if you want to say everybody is responsible for themselves that is actually a reason to legalize it. As to making people dependent on the government it has actually been found that people on welfare use at a lower rate, and that drug testing those on welfare is a waste of money.

Actually marijuana is still ILLEGAL in most states for anything but medical use and the federal government does not even allow it for medical use. It is illegal on the federal level for any reason. It is just that it has been determined the federal government has bigger fish to fry than weed.

Actually not true. While I haven't kept up on particular actions of the DEA, AG Sessions has made it quite clear that enforcement of the CSA against marijuana users is a priority of his and actually rescinded an Obama era memo stating that USAs were not to prosecute cases in places where it was legal.

They are enjoying wasting money and crowding prisons needlessly then. They are also going up against tougher and tougher jury pools for them.

Yeah I heard it was beneficial for people in pain from cancer and whatnot. Idk I've never touched the stuff in my life. But I knew it was always legal for medical use.

Marijuana is still illegal in most states? I thought it was legal in a bunch of the states. Thanks for correcting me though.

In the US there are places where smoking in banned which includes ciggs., marijuana, herbs, spinach greens, or anything else one might decide they want to smoke.
