Hey at least you realize it all now. Some people never learn this despite whatever comes there way in a marriage.

Ok, I'm his wife, didn't realize how he poured his heart out here.

It wasn't easy for him at all, and my health issues were pretty much a mess. He kept up his job, kept our home nice and clean, held us all up by being a tower of strength coupled with care and compassion.

It's stupid for a wife to automatically assume a husband can do everything in our absence. It's also equally stupid to automatically assume a wife can do everything when he is incapacitated.

Sometimes people think marriage is 50/50. Not so. Sometimes it is 10/90.

I was that 10. Thank you, Ben.

My friends, I believe life and marriage goes hand in hand.

Sure, I'm good with stuff here and dealing with issues, but there's nothing like a great man by side to do, to fix, to protect, to defend ... he does everything in spades.

He is my hero.

It is so hard on a husband when he is literally left to fend for himself, keep working, put aside his feelings and those horrible, intolerable hospital visits, to carry on at home, and to keep sanity in the face of a mess.

I wish there was a CF reward for Hubby of the Year.

I did go to his police department Captain. I suggested this, as he carried on his duties perfectly, and his Captain will present him with a letter of commendation Monday. It's a personal letter, but a letter I think Ben will appreciate.

It's the best I can do for him.
