Romans 12:17-21
Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
Also a part which I am a lot reminded of; though I cannot find it anywhere on google right now, I know for sure I have read it in the old testament, and still I am amazed by it. Because righteous people who loved God during the time of the old testament, they had the same Christ-like mentality as believers in Jesus Christ have during the time of the new testament and during today!
In that bible verse(s) part it was written that when the unrighteous/wicked did evil the righteous didn't rejoice about this, but they didn't rejoice when bad things happened to the unrighteous/wicked either.
Showing that those who truly love God whole-heartedly, will have no joy in anything which is bad and sinful. This was the same during the ancient times/old testament times as well as it was during the new testament times and during today. Same way as God is seen as loving and merciful throughout the whole bible, both in the old testament as well as in the new testament. He Never changed! And He will never change!
God is Love, yet He is also a righteous God, and judges according to what is good and after His own Will! When He takes vengance it isn't seen the same way as how it is seen and done through human eyes, God will avenge in a right and good way! He is also a jealous God, yet, His jealousy is still rightfully seen, and based out from His love for us! His deep longing for a personal relationship with each one of us! What a privilegie we are given, that we are allowed having a close and personal relationship with God! That He desires for this! This is very special!
God is full of Love for each one of us! And He also has no favourites!
"For God does not show favoritism". (Romans 2:11)
We are all seen as equal in His eyes, and all are loved the same way! We are all equally precious in His eyes!
