The media should thank President Trump for giving them high ratings.
Trump should thank the media for giving him the presidency.

People would stop watching if they stopped reporting on Trump.
Or if Trump started behaving like a normal president.

The media, who is anti-Trump, gave Trump the presidency??:scratch:

The msm all but crowned Clinton president in the weeks and months leading up to the election.

I think they are referring to all the free press he got. That along with their voters getting complacent due to her automatic win - so they didn't come out in some areas. Although they still had a huge turnout.

I do have to roll my eyes at times when they complain about Trump's behavior since their behavior is so angelic. lololol! I think the media and the politicians all reminded us - and still do to this day - why their ratings are so low - and are notably untrustworthy.

I think Trump would not be president if it were not for the media (the same ones who are against him now) giving him positive coverage while running attack stories on all of the other Republican candidates to help Trump win the GOP primary. But the reason they did it was because they thought Trump would be the easiest one to beat in the general election. And they flipped the script and began an all out war against him the day they were sure he was going to win the Republican primary. It worked for them when they did it with Romney and McCain. But with Trump the strategy backfired.

Yes, they did. The media gave Trump more coverage than any of the other candidates by a very wide margin. With their help, Trump had free publicity the entire election.

The media isn't anti-Trump so much as it is pro-ratings and when it comes to ratings, Trump is undeniably a cash cow and they are milking him for every last drop.

And I'm not entirely convinced they didn't work together on this. He gets to be president and cable news networks get more viewers than they know what to do with.

It's good to see a Democrat admit this. Every time we say it, we are treated like conspiracy theorists.

Notice that Trump didn't talk bad about the media in his primary speeches. It's because they hadn't begun attacking him yet. They were saving their ammo for after his GOP primary win.

I do not watch Fox News much. Other news channels seem to be critical of him. Most people do not watch Fox News. Russians hacking the DNC servers after the Trump Tower meeting made Trump less popular. Today mainstream media stories were published about Trump family tax evasion going back decades. Trump's campaign workers were indicted and jailed. This made Trump furious, but not more popular. Trump firing the FBI director made him seem like an autocrat, not a person in favor of democracy. One might say the American people are anti-Trump. His approval rate plummeted. He may try to bluff like he is the greatest, but many are not buying it.

No one watches Fox News? They are constantly the highest rated news programs. Right now there's football and such going, so they have top ratings. But if you look at yesterday's top shows,

16-Hannity (Fox News)
17-Tucker Carlson (Fox News)
18-Laura Ingram (Fox News)
.
.
21-Rachel Maddow (MSNBC)
24-The Five (Fox News)
26-Bret Bair (Fox News)
.
.
32-Anderson Cooper (CNN)

There are WAY more conservatives out there than people think.

Highest rated news show in cable? CBS is the highest rated network over all.

You put down MSNBC Rachel Maddow as #21. Unbelievable. The Rachel Maddow Show was the #1 show on cable TV as reported by Forbes on September 17th, 2018.

Did I miss it or did Forbes forget the include a link for the data they got that from? Very possible I missed it. I'm curious.

The article you linked to mentioned her week. Your headlines says her highest week ever. Besides in this news cycle? September 17th is a long time ago. Sad but true. Doesn't seem like it should be.

Besides we are speaking about news media no? I would assume shows overall - news media isn't one of the highest rated anyway. Chances are it would be a fluff show in comparison. Like a awesome comedy or something.
