I thought you might have a specific system.
I have seen some people use different colors for prophecies od Christ, promises to believers and whatever othe category they might think of.
But if yours works for you, it is all good.

It does! And well, everyone does it the way they think is best for them, or how they like to do it. :)

I tried marking my Bible using different colored markers for a bit.
But then later on I would forget why I marked it that way with that color.
So I just went back to writing notes in the margin.

That's also nice to do. I do that too at times.

One of Paul's prayers for the Ephesians was that they would understand the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe.
The power which He wrought in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His own right hand in the Heavenly places. Ephesians 1:19-20

I like to call this Resurrection power. God has this Resurrection power for us who believe.

Paul prayed for 4 things in Ephesians 1.
The eyes of our understanding would be enlightened. What a beautiful phrase.nd
That we would know the hope of His calling.
What are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.
And the exceeding greatness of His power which He wrought in Christ when He raised Him from the dead.

The first prayer is kind of a foundation so we could get the other three.
If we would let God enlighten our eyes of understanding we would begin to understand all that God has for us in Christ Jesus.

In Ephesians 3 Paul prays that Christ will dwell in there hearts by faith.
That they would be strengthened with might by the Holy Spirit.
And that they would know how much Christ loves them. A love so great that it is beyond knowledge.

In John 13 Jesus gave His disciples 3 pieces of bad news.
One of them was going to betray Him.
Jesus was going to leave them.
And from Matthew 26 we see that Jesus told them they would all desert Him. Then Peter gives his vow not to desert.

These disciples who thought Jesus was going to be around for awhile and would establish His kingdom were about to go through the worst time of there lives. They were going to see there LORD crucified and they would probably be overcome with guilt over there desertion..
Then we get to John 14 and Jesus tells them,
"Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in Me.
In My Fathers house are many mansions, if it were not so I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go to prepare a place for you I will come again and receive you to Myself that you may be where I am.
Where I go you know and the way you know.

Jesus tells them in spite of all the troubles they would go through in the days following to not let there hearts be troubled. But to think about eternity, and His Return.

Paul says it a little differently in 2 Corinthians 4. He says not to focus on temporal things, but to focus on that which is eternal.

These minor trials we go through are nothing compared to living forever with Jesus Christ.

John 14:4 says
Where I (Jesus) go you know and the way you know.
In verse 5 Thomas replied, "We don't know where You are going, so how can we know the way."?

When Jesus says something, it is best not to say Jesus is wrong. Later Thomas is labeled as "Doubting Thomas".

Jesus replied in verse 6, "I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father, but through Me".

When Jesus said, "You know the Way" He was referring to Himself.
When He said where He was going, He was referring to the Father. Verse 2

1 Corinthians 10:13 says that God will make a way for us to escape temptation. Jesus is the Way.
Ephesians 6:14 says to have our loins girt with truth. Jesus is the Truth.
John 6:63 says, "My (Jesus) words are Spirit it and they are life". Jesus is the Life.

Jesus is all in all. Ephesians 1:21

I had my 2 dogs in the truck the other day and they were both staring at something intently. For the life of me I could not figure out what they were looking at.
This is not the only time it has happened, but it made me start wondering, "what do dogs see"?
There is a whole other world out there that we don't have a clue about.

That got me to thinking about the fact that there is a spiritual realm as well.
Unlike the world that dogs see, we believers in Jesus Christ do have the capability of being aware of it.
Let's open our eyes. Ephesians 1:18

I was dead in trespasses and sin sins with no hope at all.
But God, who is rich in mercy loved me.
I was a sinner on my way to hell.
But God demonstrated His love towards me by giving His Son to die for me.
I was overwhelmed with temptation.
But God, who is faithful, provided the way out, Jesus Christ.

It is nice. Short, but still straight to the point! You are not beating around the bush, but pointing straight at the truth!

I just read your conversation the last few pages. It was beautiful and it blessed me. :heartpulse: Praise God! :)

Happy you felt blessed by it. And indeed, praises given to God! Nothing we do for Him is useless, and He even uses the things we may think is insignificant as something useful as well. :seedling:

I didn't know it would become a poem, but just felt inspired in the moment. All praise to God, as one will get inspired by Him at all times, whether there is times of peace or with disturbances around. As long as your focus is on Jesus, you will manage getting inspired by Him. :)

Our Focus Set On You Jesus!

This life we go through,
full of hardships,
full of worldly expectations,
our focus needs to be set on You.

Set on You my Lord Jesus,
full of Your love,
full of Your mercy,
forgiving those who wrong us.

When we come to You Jesus,
with all of our burdens and worries,
we will learn from You,
and like You we will become humble and gentle by heart.

And we will learn to look at others,
through Your eyes.
We will learn to love them as You do Jesus,
we will learn to see them as You see them!

When we set our focus on You Jesus,
we will become less and less focused on ourselves.
We will learn to die from ourselves daily,
and we will want to pick up our crosses,
and following You Jesus.
Our focus will be more about,
becoming more and more like You!

And whilst reading in Psalm, this one gets to my mind which also fits the poem I wrote above! Which shows how Jesus inspires us from His Word even before we know it ourselves, yet He pours us over with His Word whilst we are focused on Him. And then He encourages and strenghtens us through His Word when we read there, as He already knows what we will read before we read it! :amen:

Psalms 123:2

"Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters, As the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, So our eyes look to the LORD our God, Until He has mercy on us".

This poem reminds me of 2 Corinthians 3:18
How we are transformed into His image by beholding Him.
