In the right-wing world, a "devious and amoral" woman seems to be one that challenges a powerful man in a position of authority.

More seriously, though, it's disgusting and sad to see that women who come forward with these accusations can't win for losing. Either they sit on the allegations (either out of fear or belief that it won't matter if they come forward), or they go public and receive death threats and accusations of being "devious and amoral" because they had the courage to stand up to a powerful conservative man.

Oh, please. Do you really not understand the context or logic of my comment, that because women are people too they can be as devious or amoral as anyone? Which part of that requires explanation?

Amazing how little the faculty at Yale law school appears to know about the law.

Amazing how the same democrats who are demanding unending investigations of this matter have nothing to say about the much more serious charges against Keith Ellison who they would be completely content to have as attorney general of Minnesota.
Post modernist education places a much greater emphasis on narrative than truth.
The truth about what happened at some party, some summer, or fall, some thirty six years ago is not important. What is important to students and faculty at American elite universities is how well a narrative can be employed to push forth the neo-Marxist agenda of the left that post modernists have all signed on to.

It sounded ridiculous at the time, and still does today.

Oh, so now her testimony sounds "ridiculous."

Devious, amoral, ridiculous. Any other adjectives you care to use to describe Hill's testimony?

Something, something, Sarah Palin was a woman.
Paula Jones was a woman too.
Of course from a leftist context, Caitlyn Jenner is more of a women than either of those two, or )s)he would be if only )s)he was more of a leftist in her political views.
The context of any point of view coming from the left is that believability varies with political persuasion.
Women, and men, are always to be believed when it is politically useful for them to be believed, and always to be seen as liars when it is political useful to disbelieve in what they are saying.

Once the context of the leftist worldview is known, we all have to decide how useful it is entering into debate with people where truth is not necessary for belief.

Hard to, since that would presuppose that there is any logic or context in your comment.

Thus proving you have fallen for the appeal to authority.

Far too many read an article, see words such as "Yale Law School Professors," and immediately cease any and all application of thought. So they are Yale law, so what? The question here does not begin or end with the law.

The obvious question to ask while reading such an article is why. Why would a bunch of Yale law types issue such a statement? The answer to that question is far more representative of a political agenda than any other concern.

Thus proving once again you've miscomprehended what the appeal to authority fallacy actually is.

Then please enlighten us & tell us specifically what it is that the faculty at Yale Law School has gotten wrong about the law.

It's not amazing, it's par for the course that you'd ironically call it "unending investigations."

You realize that Keith Ellison holds an elected position, correct? That voters are empowered to do something about him being in office this November. The people have no such say over Kavanaugh & it's a lifetime position.

Yes, Ms Hill obviously spent some careful thought into what she said before the committee....and read her written, sincere thoughts to the committee.

I think the real issue here is your view of women in general.

It was. She is a multi-millionaire

How many millions? And how is her current net worth substantially different than what it would have been without the Thomas hearing?

and has her face plastered all over the news as some form of feminist icon.

How has that benefited her career?

And the movies, of course.

What “movies”? IMDB had a single, low-budget documentary about her, released only a fee years ago.
