God created the devil. And and all powerful, all knowing god, knew what he would do and God did it anyway.

No one actively chooses to go to hell. But that's not what people are even choosing. Going to heaven is dependent on meeting your God's conditions.

I can't choose "neither", can I?

God sent me to tell you about Him. You given the opportunity right now to choose Him.

Answer these questions:

Are you a sinner? Have you ever lied or went over the speed limit or etc...

Do you want to stop sinning? Do you want to do what God says is Right?

If you are a sinner and want to stop sinning do you realize that you can't stop sinning on your own?

Do you want forgiveness and a changed heart and mind? Do you want to start living God's Way?

If you want this then confess your sins and ask Jesus to Save you. Then continue putting all of your trust in Jesus and start seeking Him.

Now you have been told and today you have the choice.

It's the Christian claim that they should be in heaven despite what they did, if they only asked Jesus to save them.

But yes, I would expect an omnipotent and all-loving God to have stopped those people. You may say he gave them free will, but if he's the creator, it's he who set the boundaries for that free will. Why must a person's free will include the ability to murder millions or rape children? What does that freedom accomplish? Do you personally think it's worth it?

To me it looks like God designed a game he's bound to lose whichever way you look at it. It's supposedly his deepest desire to see people in heaven, he loves each of us more than we can fathom. Yet, because of the rules he decided to lay down, he is forced to torture most of them. Forever.

Is there really a way to make sense of that? What am I missing?

Jesus came to bring life, not torture. We choose sin. God doesn't make you sin, you choose to. If God wasn't restraining the devil he would have destroyed all of us a long time ago. God wants everyone to be Saved. You decide for yourself what you want.

That definitely wasn't lost on me either.

Their all-loving god can wipe out a planet and that's totally cool, but our gods must be evil because they encourage us to clean up our environment.
Respectfully, I believe you have a misconception of God. The God scripture speaks of is Love, as in the Spirit of empathy. The faith is that such Love is eternal.

Taking care of the environment, and caring about the lives of animals, is all consistent with empathy. The talk of the end of the universe is about when God's purpose for the universe has been fulfilled.

And now they are in hell, despite getting a little more time to change their minds (that is, those few who ever even got to hear the gospel).

If that's God's plan, I'm sure you'll agree that it's not a very good one.Maybe we should clarify what we mean by salvation here. I assume you mean in the afterlife, because I think it's obvious that God doesn't save everyone who calls on him from physical pain and so forth.

Ezekiel 18:21-32 NLT
But if wicked people turn away from all their sins and begin to obey my decrees and do what is just and right, they will surely live and not die. [22] All their past sins will be forgotten, and they will live because of the righteous things they have done. [23] “Do you think that I like to see wicked people die? says the Sovereign LORD. Of course not! I want them to turn from their wicked ways and live. [24] However, if righteous people turn from their righteous behavior and start doing sinful things and act like other sinners, should they be allowed to live? No, of course not! All their righteous acts will be forgotten, and they will die for their sins. [25] “Yet you say, ‘The Lord isn’t doing what’s right!’ Listen to me, O people of Israel. Am I the one not doing what’s right, or is it you? [26] When righteous people turn from their righteous behavior and start doing sinful things, they will die for it. Yes, they will die because of their sinful deeds. [27] And if wicked people turn from their wickedness, obey the law, and do what is just and right, they will save their lives. [28] They will live because they thought it over and decided to turn from their sins. Such people will not die. [29] And yet the people of Israel keep saying, ‘The Lord isn’t doing what’s right!’ O people of Israel, it is you who are not doing what’s right, not I. [30] “Therefore, I will judge each of you, O people of Israel, according to your actions, says the Sovereign LORD. Repent, and turn from your sins. Don’t let them destroy you! [31] Put all your rebellion behind you, and find yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O people of Israel? [32] I don’t want you to die, says the Sovereign LORD. Turn back and live!

Ezekiel 33:10-20 NLT
“Son of man, give the people of Israel this message: You are saying, ‘Our sins are heavy upon us; we are wasting away! How can we survive?’ [11] As surely as I live, says the Sovereign LORD, I take no pleasure in the death of wicked people. I only want them to turn from their wicked ways so they can live. Turn! Turn from your wickedness, O people of Israel! Why should you die? [12] “Son of man, give your people this message: The righteous behavior of righteous people will not save them if they turn to sin, nor will the wicked behavior of wicked people destroy them if they repent and turn from their sins. [13] When I tell righteous people that they will live, but then they sin, expecting their past righteousness to save them, then none of their righteous acts will be remembered. I will destroy them for their sins. [14] And suppose I tell some wicked people that they will surely die, but then they turn from their sins and do what is just and right. [15] For instance, they might give back a debtor’s security, return what they have stolen, and obey my life-giving laws, no longer doing what is evil. If they do this, then they will surely live and not die. [16] None of their past sins will be brought up again, for they have done what is just and right, and they will surely live. [17] “Your people are saying, ‘The Lord isn’t doing what’s right,’ but it is they who are not doing what’s right. [18] For again I say, when righteous people turn away from their righteous behavior and turn to evil, they will die. [19] But if wicked people turn from their wickedness and do what is just and right, they will live. [20] O people of Israel, you are saying, ‘The Lord isn’t doing what’s right.’ But I judge each of you according to your deeds.”

Did he live a perfect life? If he didn't then he needed to put his trust in Jesus, not his own actions. If his actions were a result of his trust in Jesus then he is in Heaven.
So Love &Forgiveness, just so that you know, your wasting your breath on me. I'm already a Lover of God, just not of the Christian flavor. I've tried that already and moved on. Any more, as I've already indicated, for myself it's not about what happens after we die with Heaven as some sort of goal or something. What it is for me, as a Lover of God, is having my Beloved God as a reality in my life "today", where He is needed the most. That's it in a nut shell.

My dear friends, remember the warning you were given by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. [18] They told you that near the end of time, selfish and godless people would start making fun of God. [19] And now these people are already making you turn against each other. They think only about this life, and they don’t have God’s Spirit. [20] Dear friends, keep building on the foundation of your most holy faith, as the Holy Spirit helps you to pray. [21] And keep in step with God’s love, as you wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to show how kind he is by giving you eternal life. [22] Be helpful to all who may have doubts. [23] Rescue any who need to be saved, as you would rescue someone from a fire. Then with fear in your own hearts, have mercy on everyone who needs it. But hate even the clothes of those who have been made dirty by their filthy deeds.

Dear brothers and sisters, pattern your lives after mine, and learn from those who follow our example. [18] For I have told you often before, and I say it again with tears in my eyes, that there are many whose conduct shows they are really enemies of the cross of Christ. [19] They are headed for destruction. Their god is their appetite, they brag about shameful things, and they think only about this life here on earth. [20] But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior. [21] He will take our weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same power with which he will bring everything under his control.

This is my second letter to you, dear friends, and in both of them I have tried to stimulate your wholesome thinking and refresh your memory. [2] I want you to remember what the holy prophets said long ago and what our Lord and Savior commanded through your apostles. [3] Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires. [4] They will say, “What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again? From before the times of our ancestors, everything has remained the same since the world was first created.” [5] They deliberately forget that God made the heavens long ago by the word of his command, and he brought the earth out from the water and surrounded it with water. [6] Then he used the water to destroy the ancient world with a mighty flood. [7] And by the same word, the present heavens and earth have been stored up for fire. They are being kept for the day of judgment, when ungodly people will be destroyed. [8] But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day. [9] The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent. [10] But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and the very elements themselves will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be found to deserve judgment. [11] Since everything around us is going to be destroyed like this, what holy and godly lives you should live, [12] looking forward to the day of God and hurrying it along. On that day, he will set the heavens on fire, and the elements will melt away in the flames. [13] But we are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth he has promised, a world filled with God’s righteousness. [14] And so, dear friends, while you are waiting for these things to happen, make every effort to be found living peaceful lives that are pure and blameless in his sight. [15] And remember, our Lord’s patience gives people time to be saved. This is what our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you with the wisdom God gave him— [16] speaking of these things in all of his letters. Some of his comments are hard to understand, and those who are ignorant and unstable have twisted his letters to mean something quite different, just as they do with other parts of Scripture. And this will result in their destruction. [17] You already know these things, dear friends. So be on guard; then you will not be carried away by the errors of these wicked people and lose your own secure footing. [18] Rather, you must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All glory to him, both now and forever! Amen.

Isaiah 24:1-23 NLT
Look! The LORD is about to destroy the earth and make it a vast wasteland. He devastates the surface of the earth and scatters the people. [2] Priests and laypeople, servants and masters, maids and mistresses, buyers and sellers, lenders and borrowers, bankers and debtors—none will be spared. [3] The earth will be completely emptied and looted. The LORD has spoken! [4] The earth mourns and dries up, and the land wastes away and withers. Even the greatest people on earth waste away. [5] The earth suffers for the sins of its people, for they have twisted God’s instructions, violated his laws, and broken his everlasting covenant. [6] Therefore, a curse consumes the earth. Its people must pay the price for their sin. They are destroyed by fire, and only a few are left alive. [7] The grapevines waste away, and there is no new wine. All the merrymakers sigh and mourn. [8] The cheerful sound of tambourines is stilled; the happy cries of celebration are heard no more. The melodious chords of the harp are silent. [9] Gone are the joys of wine and song; alcoholic drink turns bitter in the mouth. [10] The city writhes in chaos; every home is locked to keep out intruders. [11] Mobs gather in the streets, crying out for wine. Joy has turned to gloom. Gladness has been banished from the land. [12] The city is left in ruins, its gates battered down. [13] Throughout the earth the story is the same— only a remnant is left, like the stray olives left on the tree or the few grapes left on the vine after harvest. [14] But all who are left shout and sing for joy. Those in the west praise the LORD’s majesty. [15] In eastern lands, give glory to the LORD. In the lands beyond the sea, praise the name of the LORD, the God of Israel. [16] We hear songs of praise from the ends of the earth, songs that give glory to the Righteous One! But my heart is heavy with grief. Weep for me, for I wither away. Deceit still prevails, and treachery is everywhere. [17] Terror and traps and snares will be your lot, you people of the earth. [18] Those who flee in terror will fall into a trap, and those who escape the trap will be caught in a snare. Destruction falls like rain from the heavens; the foundations of the earth shake. [19] The earth has broken up. It has utterly collapsed; it is violently shaken. [20] The earth staggers like a drunk. It trembles like a tent in a storm. It falls and will not rise again, for the guilt of its rebellion is very heavy. [21] In that day the LORD will punish the gods in the heavens and the proud rulers of the nations on earth. [22] They will be rounded up and put in prison. They will be shut up in prison and will finally be punished. [23] Then the glory of the moon will wane, and the brightness of the sun will fade, for the LORD of Heaven’s Armies will rule on Mount Zion. He will rule in great glory in Jerusalem, in the sight of all the leaders of his people.

It's the Christian claim that they should be in heaven despite what they did, if they only asked Jesus to save them.
Respectfully, you are mistaken. Salvation was the fulfillment of a promise made by God to Abraham. Accordingly, God has mercy upon whom He will have mercy.

Sin is no indicator of a free will. It's an indicator of corruption in the creation. Why would God allow corruption? To show the value of what is Holy.

To me it looks like God designed a game he's bound to lose whichever way you look at it. It's supposedly his deepest desire to see people in heaven, he loves each of us more than we can fathom. Yet, because of the rules he decided to lay down, he is forced to torture most of them. Forever.

Good question. You should consider that the premise that you're reasoning upon is flawed, and therefore ends in a corrupt image of god... I believe the evidence shows that God is simply revealing Himself through a temporal state of existence so as to establish a knowledge of Who He is.

So Love &Forgiveness, just so that you know, your wasting your breath on me. I'm already a Lover of God, just not of the Christian flavor. I've tried that already and moved on. Respectfully there is only one God, from whence came the energy that created all things. That is self-evident to me. He is Love, and we experience the reality of that love in our lives everyday, so that we come to recognize empathy as of the highest value. It's not about getting into heaven, it's about believing that Love is eternal. I believe that you may be conflating or confusing God with religion.

I would ask you to ponder that the Christ is all about believing that Love is Eternal. Please note that the Gospel is about God entering the creation as a man, wherefore he is called the son of God. Therein the people who witnessed him testify to a pure love that was without vanity. But the higher powers of a corrupt world could not accept him and crucified him with a zealous cruelty. Yet even though this love was beaten and scorned and tortured unto death, he still prayed for his tormentors saying, forgive them Father for they know not what they do. Hence if you value such a love, then you should want to believe in the Christ.

Life is short and most people don't remember the accomplishments of the people before them. Eternity is forever. This is not only about you it is about the people around you. God want to Save you from an eternity without Love and also use you in this life to do good and bring others to Eternal Life. Where we go from this life is the most important aspect of life and determines who you are in this life. Ask anyone if they are a "good person". Your enemy most likely thinks he or she is a good person. I did until Jesus came knocking on my door then I admitted that I was an awful person. We only fulfill God's design of Loving other when we live for Him. He opens our eyes and minds to true Good and True Love. He gives us the Knowledge and Strength to live a Loving life. God is calling for you today, right now, will you answer His Love?

God sent me to tell you about Him.

Not sure why he's sending someone online when he knows where I am, but OK.

Are you a sinner? Have you ever lied or went over the speed limit or etc...

Sure, I break a few commandments regularly.

Do you want to stop sinning? Do you want to do what God says is Right?

I'm quite content with my own religion for the last two decades and according to my gods, I am doing what is right. Or at least, trying my best.

If you are a sinner and want to stop sinning do you realize that you can't stop sinning on your own?

Everyone is a sinner as far as I understand it.

Do you want forgiveness and a changed heart and mind? Do you want to start living God's Way?

Your god? No, I'm happy with my own for now.

Now you have been told and today you have the choice.

Now I've been condemned to hell for sticking with my own religion.

As I "experience" the Light of God, it flows with in the whole of the Universe. Where you see Christ as a single person named Jesus, for me the whole of the Universe is the body of God. In that sense Christ, maybe call it a Cosmic Christ, is an absolute "reality" for me. When everywhere a person looks, there God is, that's more than a "belief".

In all fairness, believing Love is Eternal would entail an existence that transcends the temporal.

Yes I can also see the universe and know it is real in the temporal sense, but not in any eternal sense. E=mc squared.

So respectfully, we can’t just make up new meanings for terms and expect to have any productive dialogue. The term “Christ” means the one true image of God sent by God. The issue is whether one believes that Love is Eternal or not. I believe that’s the issue of faith being proposed in the Gospel. That is what the Light of God pertains to in scripture.
