However, to show favouritism in judgement due to gender, disability, poverty etc. is not God's way - it is corrupt.
While I agree that it can BECOME corrupt (as can anything else), at its core favoritism for the weaker ones is Godly and just.

Scripture, please. God does not show favouritism in judgement.
Exodus 22:22
You shall not afflict any widow or orphan.

Deuteronomy 10:18
He executes justice for the orphan and the widow, and shows His love for the alien by giving him food and clothing.

Deuteronomy 14:29
The Levite, because he has no portion or inheritance among you, and the alien, the orphan and the widow who are in your town, shall come and eat and be satisfied, in order that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hand which you do.

Deuteronomy 24:19
“When you reap your harvest in your field and have forgotten a sheaf in the field, you shall not go back to get it; it shall be for the alien, for the orphan, and for the widow, in order that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.

Isaiah 1:17
Learn to do good; Seek justice, Reprove the ruthless, Defend the orphan, Plead for the widow.

James 1:27
Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.

Absolutely agreed. But this post isn't about taking care of the widows or orphans and feeding/clothing people. Of course that should be done.

This post is about the insanity of gender confusion. We are not required to condone this and enshrine it into law.

The problem with saying "challenge situations as they arise" is that it puts the onus on people who are already relatively powerless to challenge powerful people or institutions, often without support. I think we need all of society to put the challenge, and to do so proactively rather than reactively, because the current situation really does not work.
So how do you propose we support this without resulting to insanity, like refusing to use the word "vagina" because some people want to pretend they are women without it?

It would seem that if we have to drop "vagina," we would have to drop "penis" as well.

Yes, it would offend "women" who do not possess them. Where does this end?

Edited: That should say "Men", as pointed out by another poster!

Actually, since you were the one that said to handle situations as they arise; YOU should be the one telling us how you plan on doing that.

Oh my! If vagina is now "front hole", what would penis become?

The language stuff isn't my issue. My issue is basic life opportunities; education, employment, social involvement. So for a start I'd like anti-discrimination legislation backed up by monitoring and real penalties for breach of it, because right now it's a bit of a toothless ideal.

Okay. So I read in these scriptures about protecting the orphan and the widow, not about showing partiality to them (or anyone) in judgement. As requested previously, please provide the scripture showing where God views 'favoritism for the weaker ones' as 'Godly and just'. (Hint: it does not exist, as God does not show partiality).

Ephesians 6:9 Masters, do the same to them, and stop your threatening, knowing that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and that there is no partiality with him.

It's not that simple. You're talking to someone who was kicked out of college for being pregnant. That was denial of education if ever I encountered it!

And globally we know that women and girls are denied education far more often than boys. Of course it happens.

When? In the sixties or before? It has not been permitted since Title IX, in 1972 in this country.

Sure, things have changed. It wasn't a legal requirement then. It was just a sad custom, where pregnant girls were whisked away as if they alone got pregnant. Private schools did what they wanted, then and now.

In third world countries, it sometimes still happens but Congress isn't going to fix that. That has to be a change of heart.

I asked you a question, who is denied education, employment, and social involvement? Where is that enshrined in the law? You did not answer.

Nope... in 2011. And I wasn't talking about high school, I was talking about theological college.

Not everyone is in America. My concern is not confined to any one country. Shrugging and saying "Congress isn't going to fix that" doesn't answer the fact that the cultures we build can change the world, but we have to take responsibility for some of the world's biggest problems.

Including the facts that - for example - 15 million girls of primary school age right now will never have any formal schooling. That poverty, disability or being an ethnic minority in one's context tend to impact negatively on girls' opportunities for basic education. That in some places girls are introduced to the sex trade at incredibly young ages, or married off as child brides, as that's seen as more lucrative than teaching them to read. And so on.

Let's be honest about what's really going on, and then ask ourselves what God would have us do in response, rather than ignoring that this is reality for far too many young and vulnerable people right now.

So you were in a Christian college? Some other kind of religious college? (Not sure what you mean by the simple designation of "theological", since most have an affiliation). They play by their own rules. You must have agreed to them when you became a student. Seems archaic, but I don't know the affiliation.

All of those issues of abuse and trafficking are terrible criminal and moral problems, but none have anything to do with advocating or accepting ridiculous language changes like refusing to use "vagina" due to gender confusion. It's pretty simple...if you were born with a vagina, you are a female.
