So we have an obligation to accept Christ's grace? But until we have received His grace, can we fulfill any of our obligations whatsoever? And supposing that the Father has not called me to His Son, then would I still not be under condemnation? And should I not accept this condemnation?

Now, one might object that I cannot agree with my condemnation on my own, for if such agreement is good and I am unable to do good on my own, I cannot agree with my condemnation until Christ's grace calls me to agree with it. However, as soon as I agree with it on the grounds of this grace, would I then no longer be in a position to agree, seeing as what else this grace is supposed to give to me? So I suppose I would never feel guilty, if I agree with this whole kind of thought.

This sort of reminds me of a french philosopher, Simone Weil. She was from a secular Jewish background, but she greatly admired Christianity but never wanted to be baptized. She did however engage in a great deal of asceticism. Some Catholics have speculated she wanted to have solidarity with the lost, so she refused to consider herself better than an unbeliever in her fate.

Admittedly, she probably had what we would recognize today as Asperger's, so her thinking was probably unusual.

I've got to be one of the few but I actually do want to go to hell. Why? Because I've sinned against God. Because I deserve hell. But going to hell is just not my purpose. Its not what God wants for me. God chose me for heaven. God took me out of the billions of people in the world and he chose me for salvation. My purpose is to sit on Jesus's left and to be eternally secure in heaven. I'm not going to get what I want I'm going to get what God wants so... Yeah... While I want and deserve hell God has bigger plans for me. I know I must be mentally ill for wanting hell and I am but... Idk...

Reminds me of the story of the [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] and the sadist walking together down the road. The [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] says, "Hit me! Hit me!" And the sadist says, "No..."

I'l just let you know that you will probably have no physical body and will be in complete and total darkness, because both are the good things that God created, and those in hell will be separated from all the good things of God. This is why Paul wrote, "Knowing the terror of the Lord, we persuade men [to accept the gospel and be saved]"

No physical body? I thought people who go to the lake of fire will have resurrected bodies like we will? Only their bodies won't be sinless and perfect like ours. This is how I imagine hell. Hell is a place of torment. You'll remember everything you did on Earth and will regret not accepting Jesus. But I do believe you will have a physical body to intensify the torment. Anyway.. Yeah I want to be tormented forever for sinning against God. Its the punishment my Father and sister are going to endure (they both reject Jesus my mom is kind of a gray area Catholic). So I want to be with my family. But like I said I believe in Jesus so I'm not going to hell. But... I sometimes wish I could be with my dad. Idk... Its hard to explain...

Now, maybe no one can actually "want" that. But let's suppose they could, and they offered a reason such as, "Because I am a sinner," or, "I believe it would be unfair for me to go to Heaven when people I care about are in Hell," or whatever?

If they acknowledge they are sinners but do not ask to be forgiven, I suppose they'd end up in Hell anyway (in theory), but...

A couple things.
I wouldn't assume I understand what hell fully entails. There are a few verses about hell, but they are mostly parables. Not exact descriptions. I personally think that hell is simply the absence of God. People who go to Hell experience nothing. It is nothing. You cannot fathom this because you can't think about nothing. No thoughts or inputs into your brain. No feelings. You die and that's it.

BUT more importantly... if Jesus is God. And he decided that you were worth saving, and sacrificed himself for you, why do you think it's a good idea to make him BEG you to accept his sacrifice?

"Aw shucks, I'm not worth that. You don't need to die for me."
Too late! LOL.

He knows your a garbage person. He knew you before you were born. He knew that you were going to sin, but that didn't stop him from making a new covenant with YOU.
You don't deserve Him, but that's not the point. He already saved you.
I would focus my energy on my relationship with Christ, and not stop worrying about what's happening to your friends when they die. There are an infinite number of things to worry about. You will get nothing done if you focus on them.

Why would anyone want to throw away the gift of eternal life? Not to mention an eternal love and relationship with God who's love for you can not be matched by any. I have tasted the world, you can go to hell if you like, I choose to follow the Lord who loved me and gave me an opportunity to live with him and not know sin and its effects on me anymore. But in this life I must still struggle, my past haunts me , my sins have been many, but God has given me grace. Why would you even ask such a foolish question? Ask it of someone who is in hell now, perhaps you would quickly change your mind . What price would you pay for eternal life, in peace? The price is far more than you or anyone could ever pay , except for God,s Lamb, who paid my dept in full. And if the Lord went through all he did and all the shame and suffering to save you and offer you redemption, why treat it as a light thing?

As a teenager God allowed me to be tested, 'would i give up forever to let the world know the salvation of Christ?'

Tough question for a fourteen year old who just wanted people to know the Spirit of faith that I felt inside. I said yes, which was the right answer.

Not something people normally have to deal with.

But an interesting exceptional example, but good timing is the cause.

They don't get to choose or even know, only God does...Their will is meaningless... Interpretation/Take is meaningless... only God's is not and is what really matters... There are some might wish to go to go to hell or be condemned to hell for the sake of others, but again that's not up to them... And in that case, I do not know if it is entirely wrong or not...?

God Bless!

If anyone says they want to go to Hell, they do not understand the nature of Hell, the holiness of God, and the nature of their sin before the holy God.

My own experience with the disciplining hand of God is that entertaining such a thought, as you pose, would be like flirting with a spiritual suicide vest. The biggest symptom of correction, for me, is a degraded sense of attachment to and affinity for God. A type of creeping loneliness. However, once I "confess up" and I demonstrate sincerity to Abba Father by a dedicated walk, Light enters. The restoration is so kind that I often have to pinch myself when I realize, "Hey, where did the shadows go?" Contrast that to eternal estrangement from God (let alone discussion about physical punishment) and the thought of hell is repulsive enough to make me appreciate God and His grace.

Is it wrong to want to go to Hell?
Yes.

Is it wrong to want to have a sad and short life on earth by committing sins.?

Keep in mind that Christians will only go to hell if they lose faith in Jesus Christ or renounce the faith or depart from the faith, ie not just by committing sins. Sins may or may not lead to Christians losing faith/salvation, eg 1CORINTHIANS.5:5 and JOB.

IDK, because I'm not self-absorbed? I care about other people even if they're not perfect? (Doesn't God love us even if we're not perfect? It can't be that He only loves us after the Son has covered our sins with His righteousness or else the Son would never have been sent to cover those sins in the first place, would He not?) Doesn't Paul say something about a willingness to be damned if by being so, he could bring others to redemption?

Your expressed desire to want hell are quenched by your exclamations that you know you will not go. It is like a rich person saying that they desire to be poor, knowing that they have too much money to spend in a life time....or that they could just give it all away and choose not to...

But it is an interesting notion. However, I feel the "knowing that I will go to heaven" is more detrimental to ones spirituality, than "wanting to do the hell"

Jesus took a path through Hell to Heaven. Who am i to desire to avoid it? I shall pick up my cross and follow Him...

You need to understand hell. I believe hell is simply the consequence of sin. For example, if you rob a bank, you go to prison. If you sin, you will suffer. If you repent of your sin, you'll be spared.
Even innocent people can be jailed and sometimes, like with Paul, it may serve a purpose?

Acts 16:
23 And when they had laid many stripes on them, they threw them into prison, commanding the jailer to keep them securely.
25 But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.
26 Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken;
and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed
.

https://www.christianforums.com/thr...thrown-in-prison-tribulation-10-days.8076809/

Is the 10 days mentioned in this verse a literal 10 days or other?

Revelation 2:10
Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold! the Devil is about to cast some of you into prison, so that you might be tried;
and you shall have tribulation ten days.
Be faithful unto death, and I will give to you the crown of life
.

Here is an interesting site concerning Paul and what this site calls "His prison Epistles. First I have heard of prison epistiles...........

http://btsfreeccm.org/local/lmp/lessons.php?lesson=PPE1text

Now, we should all admire someone who accomplishes so much for Christ while in prison. But as significant as John Bunyan’s work has proven to be, the Apostle Paul’s work accomplished something much greater.
During his four years of imprisonment in Caesarea and Rome, he wrote epistles that are far more important than even

This is the first lesson in our series Paul’s Prison Epistles. In this series we study the letters of Paul that are commonly called his "prison epistles," These are letters to various churches and people that Paul wrote while he was in prison for his service to Christ. We have entitled this lesson "Paul’s Imprisonment." In this lesson, we will be looking at the circumstances that gave rise to Paul’s letters to the Colossians, Philemon, the Ephesians, and the Philippians.
