Why is it that in Deutoronomy 18:15, it says that a prophet will come who is similar to Moses. Then later in 34:10, it says no prophet has rise like Moses in Israel. I asked my friend and he said its a prophesy of Jesus. But the problem is that Jesus is an Israelite which disqualifies him because Deutoronomy clearly states in 34:10 that no prophet has or ever will come among the Israelites who is like Moses. Therefore, the person in Deut. 18:15 can not be an Israelite. And it just seems like a contradiction to me.

Deuteronomy 34:10 was written before Jesus came into the picture, it says since Moses’s time no prophet has fulfilled the prophecy, this was written before Jesus was born. It doesn’t say that no prophets will come from the Israelites anymore.

I am not sure about that.
But even if we Assume that , then that means that verse says Jesus is a prophet not God right?

Lord Jesus is not an Israelite. He is a Jew of the tribe of Judah.

Moses isn't writing Deuteronomy 34:10. This is an Israelite commentator who says from that time to the present "there has not arisen a prophet since in Israel like Moses"

It could very well be the same commentator in Deuteronomy 3:11 who provides the historical side note about Og and the present location of his bed (present to the commentator). "Is it not in Rabbah of the Ammonites?" (referring to Ogs bed)

"Prophet" tells us something Jesus does. It does not mean He is not God. Also, Jesus is our High Priest (Hebrews 4:15), which means He has the function of being our High Priest; this, too, does not mean He is not God the Son. And Jesus is called a "Man". But Jesus is not of the sinful nature of fallen humans; one "man" can be evil and another by one's nature can be good, and Jesus by His nature is divine, the Son of God. So, the same label does not necessarily mean the same thing, for different people.

So, we need to not go only by words and how we can imperfectly understand them. We need to submit to Jesus and discover how He is, not only what label to put on Him. You might consider how Jesus spent a lot of time showing how He is and loves; He did not only go around saying what to call Him. Anyone can say Jesus is God, but do they know how God is?

And Jesus says, "He who has seen Me has seen the Father," in John 14:9.

Deuteronomy 34:10 doesn't say there won't be a prophet like Moses, it says there had not been a prophet like Moses. Past tense. The point of Deuteronomy 34:10 is that Moses was unique among the prophets.

And Jesus says, "He who has seen Me has seen the Father," in John 14:9.
But he also says

John 5:37
And the Father who sent me has himself testified concerning me. You have never heard his voice nor seen his form,

So probably in John 14:9 He means some thing else Or the bible contradicts it self, pick which ever you feel more logical.
Also Jesus according to the trinity theory is a god not a prophet.
And jesus is not like Moses since jesus never waged a war and Moses died a normal death.

Jesus is not a prophet according to christians he is God according to them.
He is both due to the way prophet is used. He is fully human and fully God and speaks for God, He is the Word of God. The Israelites believed in a living being called the "Memra" that was the "word of God". It comes from Samuel where we see the word of God with personal characteristics like "standing" before Samuel's bed. From second temple writing we see the Jews viewed it as a divine being. Jesus confirms His actions are identical to those of a prophet in John 5:19...

"So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise."

This is what a prophet is suppose to do, mediate the word and will of God to mankind. Jesus fulfills this same role in a greater capacity.

Lord Jesus is God in the flesh. He acted as a prophet while on Earth as Son of Man. You should read and understand the New Testament.

Prophet is a messenger sent by God by biblical defination
Jesus is not like Moses
Jesus did not wage war , Jesus didn't die a normal death and died in an early age , Jesus was supposedly Sinless , Jesus never killed any one or sinned , Jesus never did an exodus

Moses waged wars, Moses aged and died a normal death , Moses killed a man in Egypt , Moses did an Exodus to Israel

Both are totally very different.

There is no clear definition of a prophet in the Bible, we have to infer it, and that is part of it.

Jesus was greater than Moses. Hebrews 3:1-6
"Therefore, holy brothers, you who share in a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession, 2who was faithful to him who appointed him, just as Moses also was faithful in all God’s house. 3For Jesus has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses—as much more glory as the builder of a house has more honor than the house itself. 4(For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.) 5Now Moses was faithful in all God’s house as a servant, to testify to the things that were to be spoken later, 6but Christ is faithful over God’s house as a son. And we are his house, if indeed we hold fast our confidence and our boasting in our hope."

I don't think proselytizing for Islam is allowed in this forum. You should post your comments in the Apologetics forum.

(Without looking into it) Remember that when God speaks to someone, it is so he may communicate something to him/her. In other words, understanding what the word "prophet" meant to Moses is essential to understanding God's statement.

Obviously it means that when Deut 34:10 was written "no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses". Jesus came long AFTER Deut 34:10. So where's the contradiction?

If you say so.
But Jesus never did an Exodus and Never Killed some one and never carried a sword [like Moses] in fact he said love your enemy and if some one slaps you give him the other cheek and if some one steals some thing from you give it to him

Luke 6:29

29 If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. 30 Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. 31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.

While Moses said kill all the boys from the enemies,
I don't think this goes with Loving your enemy and giving him the other cheek

Numbers 31:17-18 King James Version (KJV)
17 Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.

18 But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.

How can he be that prophet?
Moses never loved his enemies he slaughtered them,
Jesus loved every one and his enemies and said love your enemy.

We all realize that you're trying to get the verse to apply to your Mohammed. Mohammed was not even an Israelite.

And its not talking about being like Moses in every way. But interesting to note how you (obviously a Muslim) immediately go to violence and hatred to look for your "prophet". What are the odds?
