Pretty much. Self-governance has failed, purposely or otherwise, it's a moot point. Something has to happen.

There was a Catholic priest in my area who was falsely accused of misconduct. After the local Archdiocese investigated the situation, they determined that the accused priest was not anywhere near the accuser at the time of the alleged misconduct.
A lot of people are being hurt by all of this on both sides of the issue. It's scary how evil people can be.
