Anyone can repent at any time. If a child is aborted that child goes to Heaven. The parents can repent and be reconciled with that child in Heaven. I have a daughter in Heaven from a miscarriage. She should be around 40 years old by now. Recently I had a dream about her and in Heaven she is only about 2 years old. So she will still be small and need to be raised when I get there to Heaven.

Paul may not have directly hurt a child, but his influenced against parents did.

9 I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.
10 Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them.
11 And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities. - Acts 26

Try Manasseh in 2 Chronicles 33.
That guy was exceedingly wicked, but he did seem to have a change of heart and did the right things, but he did not obey the whole law, they still sacrificed on the high places. None can obey the whole law. All failed in some part, except for Christ. So then the just shall live by his faith. And no flesh shall be justified by observance of the law.

Hurt how...? As parents, we leave an impression upon them, and that is inevitable, and none of us are perfect parents, so...?

Hurt them, emotionally...? Physically...? Then there is the elephant in the room, sexually, or something like that...?

I don't know as the last one, and that last one is disgusting and just so very, very wrong... Anyway, we all leave some kind of impression on on our children, and all affect them emotionally and can spiritually...?

Is that abuse, if done not exactly right all the time...?

God Bless!

Joshua for one read about all the cities where he killed everyone, man, woman and child.

He considered himself to be the worst of all sinners and yet he found grace with God. 1 Tim 1:5 "This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief."

Salvation results in a rebirth. The old "them" passes away and the new "them" is born. Anyone who has sinned can be saved, but it is not the old "them" that goes to heaven, it is a new, repentant, purified "them."

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! (2 Corinthians 5:17, 1984 NIV)

IMO, they will suffer loss for all the evil they did in life.

If any man builds on this foundation [v. 11 Jesus] using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, his work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man’s work. If what he has built survives, he will receive his reward. If it is burned up, he will suffer loss; he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames. (1 Corinthians 3:12-15, 1984 NIV)

A thought is but a son born in the mind, do we kill that thought; abort it ..... before it has a chance to grow?

It is only at maturity (at the harvest) will we know if it was a tare or wheat; if it was a son of the flesh (tare) or a Son of the Spirit (wheat); also seen as: a thought of the flesh (tare) or a thought of the Spirit (wheat), they must grow together until the harvest, for if the tares are uprooted before the harvest, the roots of the wheat can be uprooted also, siblings (sons) must grow together otherwise Cain will kill Able again.

Uhhhh, what?

Things that I have come to understand in how God interacts with man is like a relationship, but not just one kind of relationship, all types of relationships speak of how God interacts with man (man is in the context of mankind). And with understanding physical relationships spiritually, we can view the mind and the heart (mind/heart) as a male and a female (male/female).

Thought is of the mind ..... desire is of the heart ..... and just like a male and a female can give birth to a son or a daughter, so can the mind and the heart give birth to a thought or a desire ..... a thought (a new born son) ..... a desire (a new born daughter)

And viewing these without the aspect of male or female there are only four possibilities but two of each kind

Thoughts of God
Thoughts of mankind
Desires of God
Desires of mankind

and of these four, there are six combinations but only one is completely of God .....

thoughts of mankind combined with desires of mankind (corrupted)
thoughts of mankind combined with thoughts of God (corrupted mixture)
thoughts of mankind combined with desires of God (corrupted mixture)
desires of mankind combined with thoughts of God (corrupted mixture)
desires of mankind combined with desires of God (corrupted mixture)
desires of God combined with thoughts of God (incorruptable)

the renewing of the mind is the replacement of the thoughts of mankind with the thoughts of God
AND
the new heart is the replacement of the desires of mankind with the desires of God

and that is what I believe Gods process of purification is: the process of refining; the purification/refining of thought and desire; of what is of mankind into what is of God

but this is only my opinion in how it takes place

From the beginning Jesus was given as a grain offering. Wheat and Salt, no yeast, no honey. This is why He is in the Bread and the Wine or wafer. He is the New Wine and He turns the water into Wine at the wedding feast.

"Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds." John 12:24
