If you deny God's WORD you deny God. You do not trust him by rejecting his WORD. Neither does anyone have his Spirit while knowingly continuing to break any of his Commandments. Only God's WORD is true and you speak your words over God's WORD.

The false Gospel according to God's WORD is the same one taught in the Garden of Eden in Genesis 3 and that is, you can break God's Commandments and not surely die.

This is the same teaching being promoted by those who reject God's WORD today.

HOW DO YOU KNOW IF YOU KNOW GOD?

1 JOHN 2:3-4
[3],
And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
[4], He that said, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

1 JOHN 3:3-9
[3],
And every man that has this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure.
[4], Whoever commits sin transgresses also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
[5],
And you know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
[6], Whoever stays in him sins not: whoever sins has not seen him, neither known him.
[7], Little children, let no man deceive you:
he that does righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
[8], He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
[9], Whoever is born of God does not commit sin; for his seed remains in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
[10], In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whoever does not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loves not his brother.

.............

WHO ARE GOD'S PEOPLE?

REVELATION 12:17 [17], And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ

REVELATION 14:12 [12], HERE IS THE PATIANCE OF THE SAINTS: here are they that KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD, AND THE FAITH OF JESUS.

.............

WHO ARE THOSE THAT RECEIVE ETERNAL LIFE?

REVELATION 22:14 [14], BLESSED ARE THEY THAT DO HIS COMMANDMENTS THAT THEY MAY HAVE RIGHT TO THE TREE OF LIFE, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

.............

Sorry my friend God's WORD disagrees with you. The LAW does indeed condemn the world because through the LAW is the knowledge of sin and all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:20-23). It leads us to Christ so that we might be justified by faith Galatians 3:24. Jesus indeed is our Savior. As we have FAITH in his WORD he promises to save those who BELIEVE him from their sins so that we can be FREE to LOVE and Follow him.

God's Sheep hear his Voice (the Word of God).

May God help you.

You do realize that God's written word and God's living Word are not the same? Maybe you ought to let Jesus get a word in edgewise once in a while.

Nothing but God's WORD has been shared with you. You are free to believe and follow it or not. The decision is yours.

May God help you.

I get my scripture from the bible...you know, the non-mutilated version that preserves the context, and that doesn't distort the gospel of Jesus Christ.

I doubt it very much. God's WORD does not teach lawlessness. My prayer for you is that your post above will come true

May God help you.

How could you fail to perceive that I was not speaking about bread? Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees!” Then they understood that he had not told them to beware of the yeast of bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees. - Matthew 16:11-12

For Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes - Romans 10:4

Because if you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. - Romans 10:9

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God— not the result of works, so that no one may boast. - Ephesians 2:8-9

For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 8:38-39

Hello bekkilyn,

Your sharing some scripture? Good job this is a start. Some of these have been shared with you before quite a few times in fact (Ephesians 2:8-9). Do you believe all these scriptures you provided above are God's Word?

How do they relate to the OP here in your view in relation to the Lord's day being the SABBATH (Matthew 12:8)?

Thanks for sharing.

Hello bekkilyn,

Your sharing some scripture? Good job this is a start. Some of these have been shared with you before quite a few times in fact (Ephesians 2:8-9). Do you believe all these scriptures you provided above are God's Word?

I do not believe that they are Jesus himself in order to be worshiped as if they were a god, but that they are God's written word that point towards Jesus throughout the texts, and help us understand his character, and is sufficient for salvation and growing in faith. It is important to make a distinction between the written word and the living Word when discussing it.

How do they relate to the OP here in your view in relation to the Lord's day being the SABBATH (Matthew 12:8)?

Thanks for sharing.

The Lord's day is the day of Christ's resurrection, which occurred on the first day of the week. The weekly ceremonial sabbath is the seventh day which happened on the seventh day of the week.

The ceremonial part of the sabbath's purpose was fulfilled with Christ's resurrection along with all other ceremonial parts of the law of Moses and the old covenant, and now under the new covenant, sabbath isn't about a time or a day, Saturday or Sunday, first or seventh, but about Jesus himself.

Jesus is Lord of the sabbath because he *is* our sabbath rest. The ceremonial weekly ritual of sabbath pointed to Jesus, just like the temple sacrifices and other rituals. Sabbath is now in our hearts through the holy spirit.

When we choose to observe a time or day of sabbath, it is a means of grace that helps us draw closer to God and experience time away from many of our regular tasks. God made the sabbath for us, for our benefit, and not to be a burdensome yoke as it seemed to be for the Israelites, who had a difficult time keeping it just like the rest of the law that they were require to diligently observe as part of the covenant that God made with them at Sinai.

The purpose of all those covenant laws was fulfilled with Jesus.

You can see all of these things if you look at all the verses that both you and everyone else has quoted throughout these threads if you look at them through different lenses than the specific lens your doctrine requires.

We are expected to grow in our faith, and we can't do that if we rigidly insist that everything we personally believe is right and everyone else is wrong. One of the big differences I've experienced when going to SDA bible studies vs. bible studies in other denominations is that in SDA bible studies, we are informed of the single "correct" doctrinal view and no one learns any other views, and in other bible studies, we are able to discuss different viewpoints, even those that differ from the denominational viewpoint of the bible study and can therefore make more informed decisions along with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

If we remain rigid to our doctrinal views to the point of not even *considering* that others may be right, or have something to teach us, we do not grow in our faith.

The Lord's day is the day of Christ's resurrection,

You realize that you are "quoting you" for that - not the actual Bible. ... right?

I prefer the actual Bible for doctrine.

The ceremonial part of the sabbath's purpose was fulfilled with Christ's resurrection .

There is no "ceremonial part of the 7th day Sabbath" -- you are merely "quoting you" again. Which is fine as far as preference goes .. but not an actual Bible statement.

I am glad these Sunday sources all affirm the Ten Commandments for Christians.

the Westminster Confession of Faith ,

Maybe you should have quoted this "me quote" as well:

You can see all of these things if you look at all the verses that both you and everyone else has quoted throughout these threads if you look at them through different lenses than the specific lens your doctrine requires.

However, you ignored it just like you ignore the parts of the law that you don't like and/or that doesn't support your agenda.

People don't want to spend time quoting numerous verses for you with lots of discussion for support because you refuse to discuss anything and you dismiss and/or ignore all the quotes that people do post when those quotes do not support your agenda. Many people have addressed your points line by line only to have you respond with a "nuh uh" and then followed by the exact same concordance they were responding to with still no discussion on your part.

I don't think you understand what "ceremonial" means of you would see that it is very obvious that observing a ritual of any sort on the same day of every week is very ceremonial. One doesn't need another bible verse to comprehend that.

Practically no one besides you wants to keep posting the same bible quotes over and over and over for no point or purpose.

You started off so well too quoting a few scriptures in post # 625. Then when asked what those scripture mean and how they relate to the OP you ignored the questions asked of you, and the scriptures and went back to quoting your own words over God's WORD again :(.

Nothing you have posted above has any truth in it and neither can you prove your position with God's WORD. I thought you were making some progress for a minuete.

Sorry bekkilyn, you should read your bible more. Only God's WORD is true and we should believe and follow it over the teachings and traditions of men that break the commandments of God.

Here is a few questions to challenge what you posted to show you what is being discussed here.

..................

WHERE ARE THE SCRIPTURES FOR YOUR CLIAMS IN POST #627, THAT...

1. The LORD'S DAY is Sunday or the FIRST DAY of the WEEK that prove that Sunday is the Lord's Day? (scripture please)

2. Where is the scripture that days God's 4th Commandment SEVENTH DAY SABBATH is a CEREMONIAL law? (scripture please)

3. Where is the scripture that says the LORD'S DAY is the day of CHRIST'S Resurrection? (scripture please)

4. WHERE is the scripture that says that the SABBATH is no longer about time? (scripture please)

5. WHERE is the scripture that says God's 4th Commandment is ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to keep SUNDAY as a HOLY day? (scripture please)

6. Your saying God's 4th Commandment is a ceremonial SHADOW law from the Book of MOSES. So how can the SABBATH be a SHADOW law if it was made as part of the perfect FINISHED work at the end of the creation week? (scripture please)

[NOTE Question 6. The reason I am asking this is that there was NO SIN and NO PLAN of SALVATION and mankind was in perfect harmony with God? So the SEVENTH DAY SABBATH cannot be a ceremonial law because the ceremonial laws were part of God's plan of salvation. The Sabbath was made when there was no sin and no plan of salvation].

7. Do you believe the written Word of God is God's WORD? (I have never said the written word is Jesus. You continue to make this up after being corrected many times. I have only said to you that the written Word is God's gift to mankind and is God's WORD.)

Ok please provide scriptures for all the claims you have made using your own words, Let me know when you have some scripture to share?

If you cannot provide scripture to the claims you are making why do you know believe and follow God's WORD?

May God bless you are you seek him through his Word.

You know all of those scripture verses that numerous people have posted in response to you all throughout this thread? All those verses you've basically ignored whenever they have disagreed with you? Those would be a good place to start if you're really interested in actually discussing anything rather than going "nuh uh" and reposting your concordances anytime you can't present a good argument against the verses and comments that people have posted. You might think scripture speaks for itself, but interpretation matters.

Now bekkilyn, your just making things up now because you have no scripture to share and cannot provide a single scripture for all the statements you provided in your previous post (post # 627) do you?

There has been no scripture posted in this thread to show that Sunday is the LORD'S DAY. If you disagree please post the scripture? This is the same as you can't provide a single scripture for all those statements you made in relation to the questions asked of you in post # 632 linked.

This proves what has been shown earlier, that you only state your own words over God's WORD when we should only BELIEVE and FOLLOW the WORD of GOD over the teachings and traditions of men that break the commandments of God. It is time to follow God's WORD.

.................

SIN is breaking any of God's 10 Commandments (Romans 7:7; Romans 3:20; James 2:11; 1 John 3:4) Those who CONTINUE in KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN will NOT ENTER the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

.................

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has led many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day.

In times of ignorance God winks at but when as knowledge of the truth has come God calls on all men everywhere to repent and believe his Word (Acts 17:30-31)

"Interpretation matters" and has been leading people astray all over the world for thousands of years.
Yes, it matters.
And it will be judged along with every other word men speak, on Judgment Day.
(and it is judged sooner, already , in the assembly of Ekklesia, as written it should be)

but interpretation matters.

Yahweh's Word always trumps man's best.

So it is certainly best to post Yahweh's Word again and again,
and to meditate every day on Yahweh's Word,
instead of man's word(s).

"no point of purpose"?!

Yahweh says to post His Word on the door posts and the mantles and so on, and to repeat His Word Daily to remember it, to honor Him in obedience, so we don't forget His TORAH.

Practically no one besides you wants to keep posting the same bible quotes over and over and over for no point or purpose.

Your attempts at turning people away from their faith in Jesus Christ through your perversion of scripture is anything but helpful.

Now bekkilyn,

Your welcome to prove your claims with scripture. You cannot because you have no scripture. Only those who turn people away from God's WORD seek to turn the faith of others away from Jesus, because it is only through the WORD of GOD that we can know him who calls us in love to love another.

Speaking your own words over God's WORD does not make God's WORD dissappear. Only God's WORD is true and we should believe and follow it over the teachings and traditions of men that break the commandments of God.

Sorry bekkilyn, God's WORD disagrees with you if you have some scripture to support your claims post it. If not then we should believe God's WORD. With all due respect, are you not worried you cannot support your belief with God's WORD? Only wishing you well.

May God help you as you seek him through his Word.

BREAKING ANY OF GOD'S COMMANDMENTS GRIEVES THE HOLY SPIRIT

We GRIEVE God's SPIRIT by SIN (UNBELIEF and BREAKING GOD'S COMMANDMENTS)

EPHESIANS 4:30 [30], And GRIEVE NOT THE HOLY SPIRIT of God, whereby you are sealed to the day of redemption.

HEBREWS 3:17 [17], BUT WHOM WAS HE GRIEVED FORTY YEARS? WAS IT NOT WITH THEM THAT HAD SINNED, whose carcasses fell in the wilderness?

PSALMS 95:10-11 [10], Forty years long was I GRIEVED with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways: [11], To whom I swore in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.

HEBREWS 3:10-11; 17-19 [10], Why I was GRIEVED with that generation, and said, They do always err in their heart; and they have not known my ways. [11], So I swore in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.

[17], BUT WHOM WAS HE GRIEVED FORTY YEARS? WAS IT NOT WITH THEM THAT HAD SINNED, whose carcasses fell in the wilderness? [18], And to whom swore he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? [19], So we see that they could not enter in because of UNBELIEF.

PSALMS 119:158 [158], I BEHELD THE TRANSGRESSORS AND WAS GRIEVED; because they kept not your word.

GOD is GRIEVED by SIN and the wages of sin is death...

GENESIS 6:5-7 [5], And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. [6], And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it GRIEVED HIM AT HIS HEART. [7], And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repents me that I have made them.

.....................

IF WE DO NOT REPENT FROM KNOWN SIN WE DO NOT HAVE GOD'S SPIRIT or FORGIVENESS

ACT 2:38 [38], Then Peter said to them, REPENT, AND BE BAPTISED every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS, AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST.

ACT 3:19 [19], REPENT YOU THEREFORE AND BE CONVERTED, THAT YOUR SINS MAY BE BLOTTED OUT, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

ACT 8:22 [22], REPENT THEREFORE OF THIS YOUR WICKEDNESS, AND PRAY GOD, IF PERHAPS THE THOUGHT OF YOUR HEART MAY BE FORGIVEN YOU.

ACT 17:30 [30], And the TIMES OF IGNORANCE GOD WINKED AT; BUT NOW CALLS ALL MEN EVERYWHERE TO REPENT.

............

ACT 26:20 [20],
But showed first to them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that THEY SHOULD REPENT AND TURN TO GOD AND DO WORKS MEET FOR REPENTANCE.

...........

KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN GRIEVES GOD and the HOLY SPIRIT and will keep all those who CONTINUE in it OUT of God's KINGDOM just like it was in the days of NOAH so shall it be at the coming of the Son of man (Matthew 24:37-39).

...........

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break ANYONE of God's Commandments when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12).

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

May God bless you as you seek him through his Word
