I don't disagree, right teaching is paramount. But worship style is very important to how one relates to the service, and how one relates to that church. If one cannot connect with the service, the preaching and teaching will likely not connect either.

Also, the OP requested a liturgical church, and not all Lutheran churches maintain the traditional liturgy.
Worship style is not spiritual gangrene …. false teaching is (2 Timothy 2:16)

However when the face of "Progressivism" has in it's ranks female pastors - homosexual\lesbian pastors -- then it matters not how a higher liturgical service is.

I agree. If the service is great but the doctrine is wrong, then everything is wrong.

I apologize, I did not realize this was the LCMS/WELS/ELS subforum. As such I will not debate the point made. I still stand by my point that one must connect with the service, and many LCMS and some WELS (and other) churches still do a higher liturgical service too, if one desires that.

Lex orandi, lex credendi. As we worship, so we believe. If we worship like a bunch of Baptists then we will sooner or later believe as Baptists do. This is why much of the LCMS is in a mess. It's bought into a lie that says that they can have Lutheran theology with evangelical teeny bopper worship. The end result is congregations that are not Lutheran in theology or practice.

I'm trying to find a Confessional Church with a liturgical service.
LCMS churches can be a bit crapshoot. Some have this Praise Ablaze program with the happy clappy band jamming in front of the altar. So if you see Praise Ablaze, that's what you're dealing with. The closest LCMS church has this and our family avoids it like the plague. We drive about 20 minutes further were we are confessional and liturgical. Not to brag but our church has produced in the last 10 years five LCMS pastors so something seems to be going right. Funny how rejecting the praise band and modern "three life tips" sermons actually causes people that do join your church to be there for the right reasons. They also tend to stay and not church shop once they join.

The one WELS church near us is liturgical, but a bit lower in churchmanship. If I moved and my current church became too far I would have no qualms with attending a WELS church.
