What Assemblies of God believe

(Romans 5:12-21 NIV)
12 'Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man and death through sin and in this way death came to all people because all sinned. 13 To be sure,sin was in the world before the law was given,but sin is not charged against anyone's account,where there is no law. 14 Nevertheless death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses,even over those who did not sin by breaking a command,as did Adam,who is a pattern of the one to come. 15 But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man,how much more did God's grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man,Jesus Christ,overflow to the many! 16 Nor can the gift be compared with the result of one man's sin. The judgement followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification. 17 For if by the trespass of the one man death reigned through that one man,how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man,Jesus Christ! 18 Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people,so also one righteous act resuted in justification and life for all people. 19 For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners,so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous. 20 The law was brought in so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased,grace increased all the more. 21 So that just as sin reigned in death so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord'

'We believe in salvation through faith in Christ,who according to the Scripture,died for our sins and was buried and was raised from the dead on the third day and that through His Blood we have redemption' (Titus 2:11) (Titus 3:5-7) (Romans 10:1-15) (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) This experience is also known as the new birth and is an instantaneous and complete operation of the Holy Spirit upon initial faith in the Lord Jesus Christ' (John 3:5-6) (James 1:18) (1 Peter 1:23) (1 John 5:1)

(Titus 2:11-14) 11'For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people 12 It teaches us to say,"No",to ungodliness and worldly passions and to live self-controlled,upright and godly lives,in this present age. 13 While we wait for the blessed hope,the appearing of the glory of our great God and Saviour,Jesus Christ. 14 Who gave Himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for Himself,a people that are His very own to do what is good'

(Titus 3:5-7) 5 'He saved us.not because of righteous things we had done but because of His mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit. 6 Whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ,our Saviour. 7 So that having been justified by His grace,we might become heirs,having the hope of eternal life'

(Romans 10:8-15 NIV) '8 But what does it say? The Word is near you. It is in your mouth and in your heart,that is the message,concerning faith that we proclaim. 9 If you declare with your mouth,"Jesus is Lord"and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead,you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says,"Anyone who believes in Him will never be put to shame. 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile,the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on Him. 13 For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14 How,then,can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can anyone preach unless they have been sent? As it is written,"How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news'

(1 Corinthians 15:3-4 NIV) 3 ' For what I received I passed on to you,as of first importance that Christ died for our sins,according to the Scriptures. 4 That He was buried,that He was raised on the third day,according to the Scriptures'

(John 3:5-6 NIV) 5 'Jesus answered,"Very truely,I tell you,no one can enter the Kingdom of God,unless they are born of the water and the Spirit'. 6 'Flesh gives birth to flesh,but the Spirit gives birth to spirit'

(James 1:18 NIV) 'He chose to give us birth through the Word of Truth,that we might be a kind of first fruits of all He created'

(1Peter 1:23 NIV) 'For you have been born again.not of a perishable seed,but of imperishable through the living and enduring Word of God'

(1 John 5:1 NIV) 'Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God and everyone who loves the Father loves His child as well'

'We believe that all who have truely repented and believed in Christ,as Lord and Saviour are commanded to be baptised by immersion in water' (Matthew 28:19) (Acts of the Apostles 10:47-48) (Acts of the Apostles 2:38-39)

(Matthew 28:19 NIV) 'Therefore,go and make disciples of all nations baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit'

(Acts of the Apostles 10:47-48) 47 'Surely no one can stand in the way of them being baptised with water. They have received the Holy Spirit,just as we have. 48 'So he ordered that they be baptised in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to stay with them for a few days'

(Acts of the Apostles 2:38-39 NIV) 'Peter replied,"Repent and be baptised,everyone of you,in the name of Jesus Christ,for the forgiveness of your sins and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is unto you and your children and for all that are far off,for whom the Lord our God shall call'

(Acts of the Apostles 1:4-5 NIV) 4 'On one occasion as He was eating with them,He gave them this command,"Do not leave Jerusalem,but wait for the gift My Father has promised,which you have heard me speak about" 5 ''For John baptised with water,but in a few days,you will be baptised with the Holy Spirit"

(Acts of the Apostles 1:4 NIV) 'All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues,as the Spirit enabled them'

(Acts of the Apostles 10:44-46 NIV) 44 'While Peter was still speaking these words,the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message.
45 The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the Gentiles. 46 For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God'

(Acts of the Apostles 11:14-16 NIV) 14 'He will bring you a message through which you and your household will be saved' 15 'As I began to speak,the Holy Spirit came on them,as He had come on us at the beginning. Then I remembered what the Lord had said,"John baptised with water,but you will be baptised in the Holy Spirit'
