You started out Biblical, then you lost me. What makes you believe the Antichrist must be appointed king of Israel?
Steven, not appointed, but anointed. There were 3 kings of united Israel, each anointed by a prophet. Saul and David, by Samuel. Solomon, by Nathan.

The messiah is a special anointed. Technically, there were many anointeds (which means chosen by God for a certain purpose) in Israel's history, and in the bible. Like Cyrus. And the priests. The kings were also anointeds.

But "the" messiah is one special anointed to be the King of Israel, descended from David, to lead Israel and the world into the messianic age of peace and safety.

Once a person knows this, they will understand why the world will be saying peace and safety in 1Thessalonians5 - before being plunged into the beginning years of the Day of the Lord.

"Christ" is basically a greek form of the messiah. John was the first to talk about the Antichrist that was coming, and likening many in his day as being "antichrists", who were denying that Jesus was the messiah, in 1John2:18. Back then, they knew that Antichrist was coming, someone the Jews would embrace as their king - coming in his own name. Another way of saying someone that God did not send to be their king.

It is interesting, coming from John, that also in the gospel of John we have most of the supporting information about the "Anti" a prefix meaning against and instead of - Christ.

First, that Christ = the messiah.

John 5:25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.

Next, that Jesus was the messiah, coming to be the King of Israel, descended from David.

John 12:12 On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,

13 Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.

Are you starting to see it, Steven?

John 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

Pilate....

John 19:15 But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.

Mark 15:
31 Likewise also the chief priests mocking said among themselves with the scribes, He saved others; himself he cannot save.

32 Let Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him reviled him.

____________________________________________________________________

So Christ, the concept is to be the King of Israel, descended from David. "Anti" Christ, actually means someone other than and against - Jesus the Christ, the rightful King of Israel.

It is a big big mistake to refer to the coming person as the Antichrist - at times when he is not in the role of being the King of Israel (illegitimate of course). But...... this is almost universally done.

When you study about this end times arch villain coming, if you would think of him as being on two tracks. One as the King of Israel; that is specific to Israel. Two, as the King of the Roman Empire; that is descended also from the Julio-Claudian family of Caesars. And keep those separate in your mind, as that is how the prophecies are arranged.

Incredibly, in rejecting Jesus as their king, the religious leaders had said "....The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar." The person will be a Jew of course, has to be, but will also be descended from the Caesars.

The confirmation of the covenant for 7 years in Daniel 9:27, will be by the person when he enters into the role of being the illegitimate King of Israel, Antichrist.

Mose made as requirement in Deuteronomy 31:9-13, that all future leaders of Israel confirm the Mt. Sinai covenant on a 7 years shmita cycle, on the feast of tabernacles.

So acting as the King of Israel, the person will make a big speech from the temple mount that God gave the children of Israel, the land of Israel, as theirs forever.

And the false perceived messianic age of peace and safety will begin.

Later on, 3 years 3 months, thereabouts, the perceived King of Israel, will shatter that illusion of peace and safety, by stopping the daily sacrifice, going into the temple, sitting, claiming to be God. Which will essentially end his time as being the Antichrist, illegitimate King of Israel, because the Jews are going to reject him as continuing as their King.

He not long afterward, will be killed and come back to life as the beast. Don't call him the Antichrist, at that point. He is the beast, a function of being the King of the Roman Empire, the 8th king of the Julio-Claudians, having started out as the little horn, the 7th king of the Julio-Claudians.

In Revelation 17:10, the five fallen, the sixth, and the coming seventh, all related...

1. Julius Caesar
2. Augustus Caesar
3. Tiberius
4. Caligula
5. Claudius
6. Nero
7. the end time little horn
8. the beast

Antichrist - a function of being King of Israel.
little horn, then the beast - a function of being King of the Roman Empire. In the ends times, the EU, in its final form.

He will come up among the ten kings (leaders) of the fourth empire, the Roman Empire in Daniel 7:23-25, the EU in its final form, as the little horn.

Then after going through his Antichrist stint, following Gog/Magog, and then becoming the beast, the ten kings will commit the EU to him for that last 42 months in Revelation 13. That is why the ten horns have their crowns in that chapter, is that they will rule with the person after he has become the beast.

The person is alive right now as we speak.

Really? Who is it then?
I don't know. But I have prayed to the Lord Jesus to reveal his name or the 666 mystery to me... but so far, He hasn't revealed it to me. So I don't know.

When the EU reorganizes into a ten leader form of government - you won't need me to tell you, the one leader over them - if he is a Jew and has determined facial expression, that will be the person.

It will be a topic of discussion on this and other forums for years without benefit to readers who are not born again in jesus, who are not living His Life - they (condemned for their unbelief) won't be granted understanding.

Sorry, but this is complete and utter nonsense. But then, we get a lot of that here.

Steven, this is SO SIMPLE, and child would not err.

The seals are sealing a book so that NO ONE could break the seals and then open the book, UNLESS a redeemer came along: one that redeemed mankind back to God. By the way, that was JESUS. He was found worthy in Rev. 5.

The first seal, opened around 32 AD was the CHURCH sent out with the gospel.

SEals 2- 4 are Satan's attempts to stop the advance of the gospel.

Seal 5 is for the martyrs of the church age.

The church has been waiting in seal 5 for the complete number of martyrs before Judgment can come.

See how simple God made it? We are waiting on the pretrib rapture to END the church age. Then seal 6 will come, bringing in the Day of the Lord.

Guesswork?
No, not as far as the timing. It would be guesswork to say what the catalyst will be that sets it all off - what causes the changes in their government structure. My guess would be a financial crisis, coupled with countries wanting to leave the EU.

(NIV Genesis 49:16) “He will provide justice as one of the tribes of Israel." This is the tribe that is not listed among “all the tribes of Israel” in Revelation, Chapter 7. Irenaeus of Lyons, the man credited with the first canonization of the Christian Bible, explained this omission by saying that the Antichrist is to come from Dan. He cited Jeremiah 8:16 as the reason for this belief. “The snorting of the enemy's horses is heard from Dan; at the neighing of their stallions the whole land trembles. They have come to devour the land and everything in it, the city and all who live there." (NIV Jeremiah 8:16)

His is a perfect example of how one need not have all of the pieces in place to arrive at the truth. When we consider the symbols, there is so much more evidence to support his claim that it should defy any argument to the contrary. Although Gen.49: 16 clearly states, “as one of the tribes of Israel”, Dan will not always be counted among them. The reason is verse 17: Dan is a serpent, the same serpent that was cast down to Earth from Heaven. The spirit of the serpent, the accuser, the betrayer, a.k.a. Satan, is established here among man (and specifically among Israel).

Just as there was no place in heaven for the spirit of the serpent, there will still be no place in heaven for that spirit in the end. Since Dan refused to take possession of his allotted inheritance in the ancient kingdom, he will not receive an inheritance with God. In the Book of Revelation, 12,000 saints are taken from each of twelve tribes. Levi, the tribe of the priesthood, who did not have a territory of their own, but was promised an inheritance with the Lord, is represented here. As are both of Joseph’s sons: Manasseh and Ephraim (as head of the tribe of Joseph), but of course, Dan is not included. This honor of representation among these is at least part of Levi's promised inheritance.

Compare and contrast the life of the Danite, Samson, with that of Jesus, of the line of Judah, who is called Christ. Each was born of a miraculous conception, complete with angelic guidance: one to a virgin, the other to a barren woman. Samson became a brawling, fornicating bully who went out of his way to pick a fight with his enemies. Samson killed thousands during his lifetime, and many times that upon his death. Jesus on the other hand, could settle any argument without resorting to violence. He taught people to love their enemies. Jesus saved thousands during his lifetime, and many times that upon his death.

The name Dan means judge, and Samson brought judgement, while Jesus said he did not come to judge. Some of Jesus’ contemporaries (referred to as the Zealots) noting the similarities between the circumstances of their births, even expected him to lead a violent revolution as some kind of Super-Samson. Yet, he refused to use force, period. Samson was the archetype of the Antichrist, just as surely as Jesus was the Anti-Samson.

Genesis 49 is the 12 sons that were blessed by Jaceob.

Genesis 48 is different. It is about the blessings Jacob made on Ephraim and Manasseh.

Yes, it is.

When Jacob [a.k.a. Israel (Gen 32:28)] adopts his newfound grandsons, he elevates them to equal stature with their uncles as tribal patriarchs. Jacob tells Joseph that any children born to him after them, will be reckoned (recognized or recorded) under the names of their brothers, and this is the Charter for the 13 Tribes of Israel:

5 “Now then, your two sons born to you in Egypt before I came to you here will be reckoned as mine; Ephraim and Manasseh will be mine, just as Reuben and Simeon are mine. 6 Any children born to you after them will be yours; in the territory they inherit they will be reckoned under the names of their brothers.
(NIV Gen. 48:5-6).

The “Tribe of Joseph” listed in Revelation is not another tribe along side of the tribes Ephraim and Manasseh. The rest of his children live among Ephraim and Manasseh. Jacob gives these boys his Covenat Name (Israel).

It is Ephraim who receives the greater portion of the blessings of God’s covenant with Abraham, even though Manasseh was the elder. Later on in the Scriptures we will find that this name, Ephraim, is given as interchangeable with that of Israel, ”because I am Israel’s father, and Ephraim is my firstborn son.” (NIV Jeremiah 31: 9)

Ephraim is not listed with all the tribes, by name, in the blessings of chapter Genesis 49, nor in the book of Revelation, yet this is the tribe that received the name Israel, and the greatest blessings of the Covenant. Note that the adoption, and the charter for the tribes, both take place before the other sons of Jacob are called together to be blessed.

This is significant because 11 of the sons of Jacob did not know that there were to be 13 tribes. Joseph, as the only other adult witness to all of his father’s blessings, is the only one besides Jacob himself, who might have a clue as to what is really going on.

The facts speak for themselves, though: When their offspring settled the land, it was divided into 12 territories, with two portions for Joseph, ”for the sons of Joseph had become two tribes--Manasseh and Ephraim.”(NIV Joshua 14:4). The Levites (who did not receive a territory of their own), were given towns in each territory.

Do not be confused by the term: ”half-tribe of Manasseh”. It is utilized to distinguish the half of the tribe of Manasseh that settled east of the Jordan (where there wasn’t enough room for them all), from the half of the tribe of Manasseh that ended up west of the Jordan.

When Jeroboam, of Ephraim, (the rightful owner of the name Israel) declared independence from Judah he took a total of ten tribes and that kingdom was called Israel. Only Benjamin and Levi remained loyal to Judah, and that kingdom was called Judah. 10+3=13

He is not unsealing Word of God but unsealing plagues and famine on earth with such scroll if you still didn't get this part .

Opening the seals of a scroll is reading what was sealed. John is describing what happens as a result of this knowledge being presented, in the language of dreams, visions, and prophecy; the language of Jacob and the Prophets. That symbolic and metaphoric language is consistent from Genesis to Revelation.

There is another possible explanation that Dan is not listed with the other tribes in Revelation which says...

"Of the tribe of (fill in the blank)_" and it runs through the twelve tribes.

It may be that (possibly) the name of the person (the Antichrist) will actually be Dan.

Dan and Ephraim are left out of the Revelation 7 tribe list - for some reason. And it may have to do with the name of the Antichrist person.

The other possibility is that everyone is reading Revelation completely wrong and the meaning of the book is completely different to how it is currently interpreted.
In the most recent posts, we are talking about one specific issue in Revelation, not the entire book, of why Dan is not listed in Revelation 7, and the other issue of why Joseph and Manasseh is - but not Ephraim.

Dan and Ephraim are left out of the Revelation 7 tribe list - for some reason. And it may have to do with the name of the Antichrist person.

According to the Blessings of Jacob, Ephraim will accept the accusations of Dan against Judah, and will reject Judah.

Dan is the snake that bites the Horse's heel so he will throw his rider (Judah). The first manifestation of this prophecy Ephraim's the declaration of independence from Judah. This pattern continues throughout history as they fail the test to fulfill Ezekiel's promise that they will one day become one nation again, never to be separated. They repeatedly expel Judah from their towns and countries until finally get it together, thousands of years later.

They followed Dan, instead of Judah all that time. Dan led them astray.
Examine the diagram and follow the patterns...
