So, I'm kind of stuck in the middle of all the different denominations and Christian Sects and one of the Controversial Topics is Prayers to Saints and Prayers to Mary asking for them to pray for Us Christians alive on earth.

I've never felt right about trying to communicate with people who have passed away (Necromancy), but at the same time though I can understand The Orthodox and Catholic view that we are surrounded by a cloud of witnesses and that they can see us on earth from Heaven and pray for Us.

I think I found a work around for This Topic. So, instead of asking The Saints and Mary directly I asked The Holy Spirit Directly to ask The Saints and Mary to pray for me. That way I'm going directly to God and asking Him to ask them to pray for me. Problem Solved.

Why would you not just pray to God, period? Do you not feel that is enough? Do you feel He needs the help of those others?

I do pray to God.

I can also understand asking The Saints also to pray for me though in addition. Kind of like when you ask other Christians in The Church to pray for you.

So you're cutting out the middle man and going directly to God so that he can tell the middle man to go to Him on your behalf. It makes no sense to me. Why not pray to God and forget about the middleman? That's what I (and practically all non-Catholic/non-Orthodox Christians) do.

Pray for you in addition, in addition to what? Again, that sounds like you are saying that praying directly to God needs something in addition... What is the thought process here? God heard my prayer, but once He asks the Saints to pray for you it convinces Him that you are really somehow more serious or worthy to have your prayers listened to?

Paul asked The Church to pray for him:

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; for me, that utterance may be given unto me, tthat I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
• Ephesians 6:10

Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:
• Colossians 4:3

Brethren, pray for us.
• 1 Thessalonians 5:25

To my mind....He is forming us together as the Body of Christ. It's through His love that we are in unison. By praying together (as a church body...as a community...and including saints like Mary) that expresses our unity. It's not that *anyone* is in "the middle".....we are all together as one.

Praying to the Saints is never, ever necromancy. When we cease to use this body we who are Christian are not dead but more alive than those left on earth. It is right and proper to ask the Saints to pray for us. My Church does it in the Liturgy

Necromancy is seeking for the dead to communicate with us in order to reveal secret knowledge which is completely unlike asking the glorified Saints to pray for us.
Have you read anything in the history of the Church which suggests to you that anyone ever sought knowledge or any kind of verbal response from the glorified Saints?
I haven't.
