Hebrews 2:9
But we do see Him who was made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone.
What happens when we repent of our sin?

It is in sharing our humanity that God becomes fully God. It is only with the possibility of failure that the fullest glory of success becomes possible.
Mankind brings out the fullest glory of God.
Disagree. God is fully God in all His glory with or without us.

Disagree. God is fully God in all His glory with or without us.
In addition to saying this, the greatest purpose for His physical appearance is because of His unbearable glory to a sinner - that we cannot look upon Him and also have The Life without being sufficiently purified, and this is why mankind does not receive Him in spirit, falling into the carnal mind.

By becoming human flesh and dwelling among us, we could not deny that He was there and speaking to us (John 15:22), and yet even that was so unbearable that they were driven to murder Him - even so far as to do murder in the name of God.

We who take up His name also have the same responsibility to represent His spirit, hence John 15:18.

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! - Isaiah 14:12

Lucifer - heylel in the Hebrew (light bearer) from halal - Or to shine
***Note as this is a Hebrew word it is not a king of Babylon

And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth. - Revelation 12:3-4

I believe that before the big bang there were three sets of Arch-Angels....

1. Michael - Over strong angels
2. Gabriel - Over wise angels
3. Lucifer -Over worshiping angels

And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. - Jude 1:6

The human was designed to fill the vacated space left by Lucifer and his third of the angels.

And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. - Revelation 12:17

Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. - Hebrews 13:2

Not only does God care, but the angels do too. They look forward to our company in the after life.

The following view represents a highly constructed doctrine without sufficient scriptural basis, that people have made up over time through the cleverness of their mind:
I believe that before the big bang there were three sets of Arch-Angels....

1. Michael - Over strong angels
2. Gabriel - Over wise angels
3. Lucifer -Over worshiping angels

The human was designed to fill the vacated space left by Lucifer and his third of the angels.
I do not hold to a teaching that suggests there was a fall in heaven before the fall of Adam and Eve. I read the scriptures to say that the fall happened in the garden of Eden, and all heaven and earth were affected by it.

(It is not to pick a fight with you RockyTopVA, I know you haven't said this for that purpose and this thread belongs to another person - just that I cannot with good conscience allow that idea to be spoken in my presence without saying what I know to be true about it, because it would mean to onlookers that I have seen it to be valid teaching).

1 Corinthians 2: 9. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 12. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

God who is well pleased, helps illuminate. The great value God puts on every human. God is the Author and Finisher of our faith. Hebrews 12:2.

Luke 15: 4. What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? 5. And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 6. And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost. 7. I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. 8. Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it? 9. And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost. 10. Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth. 11. And he said, A certain man had two sons: 12. And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living. 13. And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living. 14. And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want. 15. And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. 16. And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him. 17. And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! 18. I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, 19. And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. 20. And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. 21. And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son. 22. But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: 23. And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry: 24. For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry. 25. Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing. 26. And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant. 27. And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound. 28. And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him. 29. And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends: 30. But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf. 31. And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine. 32. It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.

God loves to be pleased with man. Here God shows where He's always a step ahead of man.

Psalm 103: 14. For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust. 15. As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. 16. For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more. 17. But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;

I'll part with a saying from Matthew Henry iirc. It's Gods strange work to punish sin. He takes no pleasure in it. God bless you.

I'm elated that He does..
But I also genuinely wonder why

What do you think?

He made us in His Likeness. And He IS love - it is at the core of His nature.

David wrote made the statement that mankind is a little lower than the angels.

John wrote that to those who believe in Jesus' name, he gave the right to be called sons/children of God. As members of the genuine church, we are called the Body of Christ, and the Bride of Christ (as well as other amazing things). Jesus told his disciples at the last supper that he considered them (and all who followed their example of believing in him) to be his Friends. As far as we are aware, none of these four statements have been applied to angels. So in Christ, we are elevated in at least some measure above the status of angels. Indeed, what we have experienced through and in Christ is something the angels have watched with amazement, according to Peter.

Even seeing the difference: Jesus was once a boy who asked questions in the temple but then as a man He taught with authority, wrestled with the Pharisee's and drove out wickedness with such power that nobody had ever brought to earth before.

I am not sure where the lower then angels come from, but even if we were, just because we are lower then another being does not make us worthless. But the reason the Father created us is said, he has feelings and does not want to be alone, but wants a family.

Psalm 6:4 Return, O Lord, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies' sake.

Psalm 6:5 For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?

Disagree. God is fully God in all His glory with or without us.
As long as the Second Person of the Trinity is fully God and fully human, God is NEVER without us. Our humanity is inherent to who God is.

Psalm 8 (NIV)
For the director of music. According to gittith. A psalm of David.
1 Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!

You have set your glory
in the heavens.
2 Through the praise of children and infants
you have established a stronghold against your enemies,
to silence the foe and the avenger.
3 When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
4 what is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them?

5 You have made them/him a little lower than the angels (this word can be translate God)
and crowned them/him with glory and honor.
6 You made them rulers over the works of your hands;
you put everything under their feet:
7 all flocks and herds,
and the animals of the wild,
8 the birds in the sky,
and the fish in the sea,
all that swim the paths of the seas.

9 Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
