Mystery Babylon, the great city, in Rev. 17 is the MODERN city of Jerusalem - the very city in which the Beast and False Prophet will deceive the entire world from.

Exactly what do you know about the United Nations, and exactly what is written about this entity? Do you know that hazardous material shipments WITHIN the continental United States are NOT controlled by the Department of Transportation (DOT), but are instead controlled by the United Nations. Do you also know how many United States possessions are also controlled under the United Nations "World Heritage Sites"?

If Lee Iococca wanted to restore and preserve the Statue of Liberty today, he would have to obtain PERMISSION from the United Nations.

In Revelation, ancient Babylon is used as an analogy for an evil end-time global empire. There were two ancient Babylons in the OT, the Tower of Babel and the Babylonian empire that ruled the ancient world for 70 years during which Babylon destroyed Jerusalem and the temple and held Israelites captive until God's anointed king, Cyrus, conquered Babylon and returned the Israelites to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple. Cyrus is an OT archetype of Christ.

Have you not been paying attention? The Jews have gone ALL OUT to prepare for it. They have scoured the world for RED cattle so they can have a red heifer without spot or blemish. They searched for YEARS for the source of the blue dye on their robes. They are very close to ready. I suspect the blocks for the new temple are already done, but in hiding.

John uses it as an allegory to picture Jerusalem during the time the Beast and False Prophet are there, deceiving the WHOLE WORLD! There has never been such deception in the world and never will be again.
