I am not "anti-Pastor" . The pastor gift is just that one of the blessed gifts of Ephesians 4. It is not a title of a mans position as we see today over all where he alone can minister and has supreme authority over others as a Lording over them and total control of them. We do not find this man, (the MODERN p[astor role) in scripture.
So it seems that those who promote this false role over the flock are in fact "anti- Pastor gift".
I also do preach the true saving gospel ( 1 Cor 15:1-4) and I do see some good aspects in many men who are bound up in the erroneous role they take over others today. But still they are at best benevolent dictators who are in TOTSL control of men and who are exalted over men and who have favouritism because of their person.
I have been attacked physically, spoken against written against, defamed, slandered, persecuted cast our, etc etc etc by many, and not just those in the MODERN day pastor role. But I can truly say I have love towards them and no hate. I feel sorry for them rather than hate any. UI have prayed and cried for these men and God knows?
Is it because I love them not? God knows.
But every man shall give an account for his works.
The Lord does take care of me and He does send me to many places. He has given me many messages for the churches and I have seen wonderful work among the saints over the years.
You are not accurate in your judgement here.
By the way when Jesus rebuked and spoke against the religious leaders as hypocrites and children of the devil etc, was he in some kind of bitterness in doing so? God forbid!
When the prophets cried against the false shepherds and said God would deliver his flock from their hands were the prophets in some kind of hatred and bitterness? God forbid.
reexamine all your words to me and I pray the Lord would give you understanding in this matter.
I've said what I've said. I need not reexamine them to understand what I said. That would imply that I did not understand what I was saying when I typed it. I've read every post of yours. And mine. There is no room for a pastor in your argument at all whether modern or not. I have not defended a corrupt role. Nor have I arbitrated for corruption within the church by means of justifying my views by works. I even agreed that there were and are some bad eggs. I am solely acknowledging that you've dismissed the pastor role altogether. So don't quote scripture like you're the word made flesh himself. You want to see a pastor king? look at the RCC hierarchy. In regards to the office of a bishop, this is taken in context of
1 Timothy 3:1 This
is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
I use pastor and bishop interchangeably here.
Acts 20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
We see the two roles in the same verse.
Though Jeremiah 12:10 states
Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness.
we see...
Jeremiah 3:15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.
In summation, some pastors are good people in a good role put there to shepherd the flock by God himself.
Some pastor, clergy, or other overseers of the church have warped your mind into thinking that :
The very position in the body of Christ is not worthy, is somehow not godly. Such as an arm telling a leg we have no need for you.
I'm not in this to win some conversation for my own sake. But to teach. Arguing doesn't make one wise. Nor does speaking a multitude of words.
2 Corinthians 2:17 Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as those sent from God.
There is no pastor king. Only Christ our king.
No further speaking is necessary
With this I conclude my posts and will not be responding further to this thread.
