Very weepy, down and emotional today

Well, I attended the annual family reunion on Saturday. I actually wasn't going because I had an outdoor concert but it got cancelled because of rain and the night before my dad called and said he wanted me there, so I went.
It is very difficult for me to be around that side of the family and the reunion brought up a lot of emotions.
It just seems to have spiraled today and I've got to pull it together for conducting tonight and tomorrow plus some music arrangement that need done. I really don't feel like doing anything.
I would appreciate prayers. Thanks a bunch!

Hi; I saw your post and this verse came to mind:

"In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul." (Psalm 94.19)

On another note, what type of music do you conduct and arrange ?

Thank you for the prayers. I direct couple of instrumental music groups in the community and also arrange for various group ensembles. End of summer and upcoming Christmas season is always challenging.

Thank you all for praying.

Skywriting's comment is funny and at the same time very truthful. There are many times I just wished my father would pass on.

For some reason the loneliness, grief and insecurities surfaced and I'm feeling very overwhelmed. I usually am level headed and not this emotional but I trying to process why this visit seems like the last straw.

Please pray for me!

Father, I pray that this one would "encounter" You, whether they are saved or not. That they would come before You and focus on You in such a way as to shut out everything else for a time. May this encounter cut their troubles down to size. May this and future encounters enlighten them and strengthen them and put their values in an order that will cause them not to worry about or feel negatively about temporary earthly things, Romans 8:18; 2 Corinthians 4:16-18. Habakkuk 3:19. Amen.
