Peace unto you.

The Lord comes to open up our minds to the Scriptures and His revealed Word of Truth shall not conform to our own understanding of the Scriptures. It will be a “new” Word we hear….and some will not readily receive the “new” and will prefer the “old” religious word of carnally-thinking men. The natural man will not receive the spiritual things of God as he will think it is foolishness.

Religious men will hear His voice and some will be tempted to speak out in their wrath towards what they hear as they will seek to defend their own thoughts and ways rather than receive His thoughts and ways.

Of His own will does He beget us with the Word of Truth so that we should be a kind of “first fruits” of His creatures. We must respond to the hearing of His Word of Truth with His righteousness (and not seek to defend our own “works of righteousness” in our wrath towards the hearing of His Word).

James 1:18-22 KJV
(18) Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

Let EVERY man be quick to hear and SLOW to speak, SLOW to wrath…..

(19) Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

….for the wrath of man does not work His righteousness. We must not be found by Him at the hearing of His voice angrily defending our own “works of righteousness” which are not saving the mortal flesh of anyone.

(20) For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

Let the waters of strife abate from our hearts and receive His Word with meekness….a “dry” heart.

We are to hear His Word of Truth and lay apart all filthiness and “superfluity” of evil from our hearts and mouths and receive with MEEKNESS the engrafted word which is able to save our souls….bringing JOY within our souls. Without this, we cannot receive His Word in rejoicing.

(21) Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
(22) But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Let him that has ears to hear, hear the Spirit of Truth. Let us receive the words of the Spirit of Truth that comes often from Heaven (the “rain”) upon our hearts ( the “earth”). The good heart….the good earth….that drinks in the “rain” of His words that comes often upon it and which brings forth the fruits of righteousness shall receive blessing from God.

Hebrews 6: KJV
(7) For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:

But that which will bear forth evil speaking in wrath (thorns and briers) towards what they hear is REJECTED and is near unto cursing whose end is to be burned. The tongue is a fire which will bring them “weeping and gnashing of teeth” as their own evil speaking will be heaped upon their own heads as punishment.

(8) But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.
(9) But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.
(10) For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do ministe
r.

The hearing of His revealed Word of Truth (“And God said…”) in the REGENERATION of man (of which Genesis chapter 1 is the parable of) brings forth the “waters” of men who will rage as the “seas” against what they hear. By His Word, the “seas” of raging men are created.

The waters “under the heaven” are those men who will not be focusing on those things above (peace, love, joy, gentleness, kindness, patience, etc).

They will be gathered together unto one place (in mind only with the other hypocrites who say they love God but deny Him by their works towards the hearing of His voice). They will rage as the “seas” churned up in their wrath by the rushing “mighty wind” of the hearing of the Spirit that will blow upon them.

Genesis 1:9-13 KJV
(9) And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

But the “dry land” also appears as those who are of a “good heart” will have the waters of strife….the “superfluity” of evil…abated from their hearts. Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

God called the dry land “Earth”….because the meek (the “dry land” of the humbled heart) will inherit the Earth.

(10) And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

They will with MEEKNESS (the “dry land”) receive His Word in peace (the “grass”). The meek shall inherit the “Earth”.

(11) And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

They will respond with peace (as the earth brings forth “grass”…peace) towards His Word of Truth. His Word (“And God said…”) brings forth these things from our hearts….from those who are of a good and honest heart where the waters of strife have abated from.

They will have faith (the herb-yielding seed) after his kind….as there will be different kinds of faith. They will respond with the fruits of righteousness (men are as trees) as they will DO the engrafted Word (“whose seed is in itself”) within their hearts. A GOOD heart will bring forth all of these things towards the hearing of His revealed Word of Truth.

(12) And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

The “bright and morning Star” will continue to arise in the once darkened heart until there is no more darkness and we are to take heed on how we hear so that more shall be given.

(13) And the evening and the morning were the third day.

The “evening and the morning” speaks of the Light of His knowledge dawning in the “dark place” of our hearts as the “day dawns” and the morning star arises in our hearts (until there is no more darkness) when we hear His Word of Truth as He opens up the Scriptures to our understanding through men that are moved by the Holy Spirit to speak His words.

2 Peter 1:19-21 KJV
(19) We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
(20) Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
(21) For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

The “good Earth”…the “good ground”, the honest and good heart, having heard the Word will keep it and bring forth fruit with patience. They will be patient DOERS of the Word and not just hearers only.

Luke 8:15 KJV
(15) But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

But the wrathful will not hear and understand because they will not DO His Word (the Saying to have love for one another).

John 8:39-47 KJV
(39) They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

They will go about seeking to “kill” the messenger (a man who has told you the Truth which was heard of God).

(40) But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.
(41) Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.
(42) Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent m
e.

They will not understand His speech because they “cannot hear His word”. True “hearing” is DOING His Word to have love for one another….have brotherly love. If only we DO His Word, then we can know of the teaching whether it be of God or not.

(43) Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
(44) Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
(45) And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.
(46) Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe m
e?

Those who will not hear are not of God….as God is love.

(47) He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

Those who will do evil toward the hearing of the Word of Truth are counseled to OVERCOME their wrath just as Cain was instructed.

Cain was very wroth and his countenance fell.

Genesis 4:5-9 KJV
(5) But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.
(6) And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?

But the wrathful are instructed to OVERCOME and DO WELL so that they shall be accepted. If they do not well, then sin lies “at the door” of their mouths. Evil speaking wants to come out and rule over our mouths….it wants to have dominion over us but we must not allow sin to have dominion over our mouths.

(7) If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

And we know what happened to Cain. He did not follow the instruction of God and did “slay” his brother. Let us not “kill the messenger” of His Word of Truth with malicious words but let us overcome our wrath and be found in Christ.

(8) And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.
(9) And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?

Cain dwelt in the land of “Nod”…wandering. The wicked shall not enter into His knowledge because of their unbelief and bad behavior. The wicked shall not understand and will dwell in the land of not understanding…in the land of wandering.

Genesis 4:16 KJV
(16) And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.

These men are “wandering” stars to whom is reserved the “blackness of darkness” forever as the wicked shall not enter in to His understanding as judgment upon them for their “raging” wrath at what they hear: the Word of Truth. They will not be able to enter in as they "foam out there shame" as they rage as the waves of the sea against the hearing of His words.

Jude 1:13 KJV
(13) Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

to be continued...

The good news comes not to us only in word but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance (conviction).

1 Thessalonians 1:4-7 KJV
(4) Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.
(5) For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake
.

We...those who believe in what is heard... receive the good news of our salvation in the here-and-now with joy of the Holy Spirit.

(6) And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost:
(7) So that ye were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia.

We know it is the Son speaking to us as the bright and morning Star arises in our hearts when He comes to open up the Scriptures to our hearing. He uses His servants….men who speak as they are moved by the Holy Spirit…to speak His words of Spirit and life. We receive the witness of men but the witness of God within us (the Light shining in our once darkened hearts) is greater: This is His beloved Son whom we are to hear.

2 Peter 1:18-21 KJV
(18) And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.

But the word of men preach deceitfully for pay as they walk in craftiness. They handle the Word of God deceitfully. MANY retail the Word of God unto their own destruction and are blinded from understanding

2 Corinthians 4:1-6 KJV
(1) Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
(2) But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

The good news is hid from their understanding as they wrest the Scriptures to their own destruction as they perish from this earth (“lost” = perish).

(3) But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
(4) In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
(5) For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

But when we hear the Word of God preached in truth and sincerity, the Light shines out of the darkness of our very own hearts…..

(6) For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

It is not the “word of men” who privately interpret the Scriptures (wresting them to their own destruction) but the Word of God spoken in the Truth that effectually works also in us that believe.

1 Thessalonians 2:12-14 KJV
(12) That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.
(13) For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.
(14) For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews:

When we hear the Son’s voice speaking in the Spirit of Truth (through those men who are moved by the Spirit to preach the Word of Truth to our ears), the “dawn” will arrive within our very own once-darkened hearts.

The “bright and morning Star” arises with our own hearts when we hear His words spoken through the messengers He sends. "angel" = "messenger"

Revelation 22:
(16) I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

We are to remember to let brotherly love continue and entertain strangers (be inviting: "come") and their words. Let us be quick to hear and slow to speak and slow to wrath.

(17) And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freel
y.

This is the sign (the arising bright and morning Star in our very own hearts) of the Son of man who is in Heaven speaking to us and we are to take heed on how we hear. We are to be quick to hear and slow to speak and slow to wrath.

If we are angry at what we hear, we are not to sin….that is, speak evil. Let not the “sun go down” (the arising “day star”) within our hearts upon our wrath.

Ephesians 4:26-27 KJV
(26) Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath
:

Neither give place to the devil….that is, a place to rule in our mouths. Let us not be overcome with wrath and speak evil towards what we hear. We must overcome our wrath. Sin must not have dominion over us.

(27) Neither give place to the devil.

Don’t let the “sun go down” but believe in that Light arising within our hearts lest the darkness come upon us as the “sun goes down” upon our wrath.

John 12:35-36 KJV
(35) Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.
(36) While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.

Let us not “trodden down” what we hear and speak evil words (the “fowls of the air” are evil words that fly out of the mouths of the unbelievers).

Luke 8:4-5 KJV
(4) And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable:
(5) A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it.

If we give place to the devil in our mouths, then he (the devil) comes and lifts away the Word out of our hearts lest we should believe and be saved. We shall then never be able to enter in to understand and be converted and be saved.

Luke 8:11-12 KJV
(11) Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
(12) Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved
.

We must overcome our wrath towards what we hear. Resist the devil (the false accuser) and he will flee from you.

James 4:7-11 KJV
(7) Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
(8) Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
(9) Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
(10) Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up
.

Let us not speak evil of another.

(11) Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.

Let us not “trample” another under foot by speaking evil of him…thereby “defiling our garments”.

In Revelation 3: “Sardis” = “red ones” and signifies those who are found in wrath (red, Edom) towards what they hear the Spirit saying. Their “works” are not complete before God as they have no good works (the manifest evidence of their faith) towards another who comes preaching the Word of Truth to their hearing ears.

They say they are “alive” but faith without good works is “dead”. Those who will act out in wrath towards what they hear the Spirit saying are “dead” for they show forth no good works as evidence of their faith.

Revelation 3:
(1) And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
(2) Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.

Our works are found “perfect” before God when we respond with good works. Good works makes faith “perfect”….complete. Good works is the outward evidence of our faith. Where is our faith when we do evil?

James 2:22-26 KJV
(22) Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
(23) And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
(24) Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
(25) Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?

The “dead” church has a name that they are “alive” but faith without good works is dead.

(26) For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also
.

We are to “awake” (watch) to His righteousness and put on Christ. We are to remember to have love for one another and change our minds about behaving in our wrath especially when He sends His messenger out to testify the testimony of the Lord.

Revelation 3:
(3) Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

Some will overcome their wrath (even in “Sardis”…even in their wrath they will overcome) and will not defile their garments as they will not speak evil....trampling down another in their wrath..

(4) Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.

They will overcome their wrath towards what they hear the Spirit saying and will put on Christ and His righteousness. The same shall be clothed in white raiment….righteous acts. They will cast off the works of darkness (the wrath, envy, strife) and put on the Lord Jesus Christ,

(5) He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
(6) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent: love works no ill towards his neighbor. Love is the fulfilling of the Law.

Romans 13:10-14 KJV
(10) Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Be watchful (awaking), and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.

(11) And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
(12) The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
(13) Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envyin
g.

Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. Those who shall overcome their wrath will be found of Him putting on white garments (His righteousness) and will not make room for behaving in the flesh (the wrath, envy, strife, rioting against what they hear).

(14) But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
