Dang, I'll have to tell the LGBT people who come to my house they can't be my friend anymore. I keep getting these memos from Democrats about being a Republican that have nothing to do with my actual life--why is that, I wonder?

While you may personally be friends with LGBT individuals, if you are a Republican you vote for policies that may deny them their civil rights.

And as a woman are you not appalled by the Trump administration's attempts to discourage breastfeeding in third world countries, even to the point of threatening retaliation to countries promoting breastfeeding? Don't you know that where there isn't access to clean water, third world women using powdered formula may be killing their babies?

Trump policies ending ACA healthcare, taking money away from CHIP (children's insurance), cutting SNAP, not supporting maternity leaves, etc., etc., etc. are anti-woman. How many women are in his administration? How many ethnic minorities?

Good heavens, when he had a chance to appoint a Supreme Court justice that would definitely overturn Roe, he chose someone who said it was established law but who had, in 2009, written that sitting presidents should not be investigated or subpoenaed. When faced with the decision whether to save fetuses or his own sorry self, he chose his own sorry self.

I am always inspired in the Gospels by Jesus' ability to see directly into a person's heart...if only today's Christians could walk through the sham of Donald J. Trump's character---and keep walking. May they have the "amazing grace" to overcome their blindness.

The only LGBT people I see actually joining the Republican party are mentally unstable people like Coupon Carl.

If the GOP keeps it up they may lose the Hispanic vote for generations, just like Democrats lost the southern white vote. In fact GOP's core constituency now days seems like angry white men, literally a dying demographic.

If Warren is doing wrong things, they must be definite specific wrongs that can be pointed to and checked on.

I want to be sure I don't say someone does a wrong when I don't know for sure what they did, but only heard someone else claim they did something.

What i do is research on my own if i hear something curious or i'm not sure about it, etc.

What's the problem?

I agree. If i didn't know for certain if there's any legitimate concerns, i'd be quite neutral regarding if someone is "slandering" anyone, especially a "public servant".

The "slander" comment is quite telling.

I'd chill on that.

It's actually a very serious danger today in the U.S., because slandering public people has become common.

It's not something to 'chill' on at all, but something to warn everyone about.

Because we care about them.
