You have no idea the connection I have with black people, do you? No, you don't.

But these are the typical Democrat tactics, see. In the face of facts, "that doesn't count". Why doesn't it count? You can't talk about the inner city, that's "racist". You can't mention single parenthood--no one knows why. You can't say that, you don't interact with black people.

Again. I'm not concerned with the landmines you're laying out. I have facts. You don't like the facts? Face them, do something about them, or just keep obfuscating, but either way, everyone can see what you're doing. That is for sure.
Inner city != black and the inner city areas are not the ones with the greatest social ills, but when you talk about inner cities while simultaneously talking about black people, you're equating them.

As for your connection to the black community, it is fairly evident, why else would you believe there is a mass exodus to Trump if you actually had a connection to the community?

Since this topic is now segued into whining about black people, when do we segue into "black-on-black" crime? Because despite most crime being intraracial, black crime is special.

I guess we're done talking about #WalkAway? It figures, how else can you talk about a non-existent movement besides making up stories about it?

What does that have to do with absent fathers? The government study done on fathers shows black fathers are the most involved with their children... so again, you're repeating a myth based on an extrapolation.

A child who is raised by their married, biological parents is in the best possible position. When you only have 25% of your population in that circumstance, things are not great.

Here:

Over the past decade, evidence on the benefits of marriage for the well-being of children has continued to mount. Children residing in two-biological-parent married families tend to enjoy better outcomes than do their counterparts raised in other family forms. The differential is modest but consistent and persists across several domains of well-being. Children living with two biological married parents experience better educational, social, cognitive, and behavioral outcomes than do other children, on average

I'm asking YOU why black people would stay with the Democrat Party. So far you have come up with...what? You tell me.

Still has nothing to do with the absent black father myth. They're not more absent.

What's the Democrat Party?

As for black people making their own political choices, it's the same reason you support the political party you support. How about instead of attacking black people and calling them infants for their political choices, you recognize they make their choices in much the same way you make your own choices.

So, I'm not sure anymore but is this #walkaway movement still a thing?

It seems to have really died down in the last few days.
I think they're back to attacking black people. It was quite the show, but they think black people are stupid and will simply follow some viral hoax they put together.

Maybe they make their political choices because they've been told the Republicans are -ist, -ist-, -ist and -phobics. you think?

Black people are not making their own choices, they're simply too dumb and stupid to match their values to a political party. They were told to vote and act one way, so that's what they do because they have no sense of agency.

Of course they do. But they're being told things that are not true. About policy and about people. On the walk away videos we hear over and over how they'd been convinced Republicans are all racist. They leave Democrats and can't believe it's not true.

Do the Democrats have good policy to offer? That will work? Should I start a new thread so you can reveal it?

Ooooh, I see. So on ONE side, the inner cities NOT the "black community" even though they are hugely black by population percentage. But on the OTHER hand I must NOT know any black people in any close way because I am not seeing what you see in the "community".

High percentage black people all voting the same way: Not representative of the "community".

Blacks behaving in ways Summer Madness does not expect: Also not part of the "community"

So the community is just whatever serves at the moment. I already knew that though.

You do realize the "walk away" videos are not real? As in not authentic. And you believe black people have no sense of agency and are too dumb to make their own political choices, instead following something because they were told that. Maybe that's why so few of them are Republican, when a political party describes as unthinking children, it's not a real motivator to join.

Walk away from the left to join the people who just got done telling you that you don't think for yourself.

Lol. Who falls for this gimmick?

Did you know that Abraham Lincoln was a Republican and Maraget Sanger, of Planned Parenthood fame, is a racist? That's how your people work, just tell you who's racist and you'll join our cause, right?

It is a political reality that people can be manipulated. Did you not JUST employ that in this very thread? And now you're trying to convince me they can't. Um yes, they can. That's the meat and potatoes of politics. That's first.

Second: what EVIDENCE do you have that the videos are not real? You're very short on facts and evidence on this thread.

Oh no, that's not the game--it's that LIVING Republicans are racists.

hey I'm still waiting for those winning policies the Democrats are offering. Should I start a new thread in the Politics forum? You're going to weigh in right?

Are you arguing that you are gullible and susceptible to manipulation? If this is your premise, why are you convinced that your current political affiliation is not based on gullibility?

Evidence the videos are not a real movement... how many black websites are talking about this subject? You'd think that a huge trend like this might catch some attention. Oh yeah, I forgot, it's a conspiracy. Did you know Jay-Z and Beyonce are part of the Illuminati? That's absent on black websites too, but go on YouTube, there are videos everywhere! The more I hear some right-wing folks speak, the more I realize they're like hoteps. If not for opposing views on race, hoteps and these folks would be a match made in heaven.

Oh no, that's not the game--it's that LIVING Republicans are racists.

What good would a thread do? You would need to restrict it to only black people and the responses you get would be worthless because they are not representative. And what's the purpose of such a thread? You've obviously made up your mind, you think black people are gullible and too stupid to realize they are being manipulated. I wonder why they won't join...

That's the litmus test as to whether individual videos are real? Whether or not "black web sites" are talking about them? ^_^

Well, the #MeToo movement is certainly real, it appears on a variety of websites, especially on websites geared toward women. But there are several websites/magazines geared toward an African American audience, what do they say about the movement? Oh yeah, nothing because there is no movement.
