Jesus WAS (became) dead and IS ALIVE now and forevermore so that we might have His everlasting life in this earth. We must believe that He IS…. “I AM”…..I EXIST. Jesus IS RISEN so that we might have His risen life now for now is the day of our salvation.

Revelation 1:18 KJV
(18) I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

How many still believe like Martha did. If Jesus WAS HERE, then we would not be dying.

Martha: if you (Jesus, Lord) had been here, my brother would not have died.

Jesus: “I AM”…. the resurrection and the life and the life. He that believes INTO me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.

Conclusion: Jesus IS as He IS ALIVE NOW so that we might have His eternal life NOW in this earth as His life IS COMING in our mortal flesh. We must also “become dead” to sins so that His life shall be made manifest in our outer man (our mortal flesh) so that we might live forever with His life.

John 11:21-22 KJV
(21) Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
(22) But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.
(23) Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.

The Marthas of today: I know that we shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day

(24) Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

But Jesus says to such: “ I AM” (I EXIST) the resurrection and the life…..

(25) Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

Whosoever lives and believes INTO me shall never die……can we believe this?? Is this such a hard saying that many will turn away and depart?

(26) And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

See how Martha really does not confess that Jesus IS the “I AM” in her response: I had BELIEVED (Greek: believed) that you are the Christ, the Son of God which should come into the world.

(27) She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe (believed) that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.

Then she departs…..she went her way. How many will hear and continue to go their own way thinking their own thoughts and not receiving His thoughts on the matter?

John 11:28-29 KJV
(28) And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master is come, and calleth for thee.

Let us not be ashamed of the Teacher’s words…His testimony….and depart.

We must be like Mary and believe that the Master (Teacher) is HERE (the I AM) and summons us. Mary heard that news and “rose quickly” and came unto Him. We must also hear and “awake” from our sleep and come to hear the Teacher as He summons us.

(29) As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly, and came unto him.

Let us KNOW THE TIME that NOW is the Day of our salvation. Men have been preaching something different (we have to “die and go to heaven” ….getting resurrected later when Jesus IS the I AM….He IS the resurrection now).

Men are seeking to “change the time” of our salvation on us by preaching their dying hope when it is a LIVING HOPE for us now. We must KNOW THE TIME. NOW is the time to “awake out of sleep” and put on the Lord Jesus Christ and not make provision for the flesh...acting out in envy, strife, hatred of one another, etc. We must put on His life now which is incorruptible...which is immortal. This corruptible and mortal MUST put His incorruptible and immortal life on now. We must put on the Heavenly Man now. This is a NOW thing.

Romans 13:10-14 KJV
(10) Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
(11) And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
(12) The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
(13) Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.

(14) But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

We PUT ON Jesus as His life appears outwardly in our mortal flesh as if wearing clothes outwardly for others to see.

When the life of Jesus appears in our outer man (our mortal flesh), then the nations of this world shall see His appearing glory in us and will praise the Lord. We shall sing His praises in overwhelming joy as we receive His eternal life in this earth and the nations of the world will join along with us in His praise as they see Him appear outwardly, visibly in us.

Romans 15:9-13 KJV
(9) And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.
(10) And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.
(11) And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people.

There shall be a root of “Jesse”. “Jesse” means “God EXISTS or gift of God”.

The appearing life of Jesus in us shall be seen by this world and they shall seek Him as they see the gift of God: eternal life appearing in us. They shall see the proof that there is a God (I AM…He EXISTS) through us and will praise Him as the “root of Jesse” is rising to reign over the nations of this world.

(12) And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.
(13) Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

We are to use the power of the Holy Spirit within us to deaden or “kill” the deeds of the body….the living after the flesh….the sowing according to the flesh…envy, strife, hatred of one another, covetousness, etc.

IF we “mortify” (deaden) the deeds of the body, we shall LIVE…..and that life is the appearing eternal life of Jesus in our mortal flesh. The Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead shall ALSO quicken (make alive with eternal life) our MORTAL BODIES by His Spirit that dwells in us.

BUT, we must use the power of the Holy Spirit to kill the deeds of the body so that we may also live by that same Spirit that raised up Jesus from the dead. We must believe…. I AM: the resurrection now.

Romans 8:10-14 KJV
(10) And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
(11) But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
(12) Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.

Even after we have received His Spirit but still continue to live after the flesh, we shall die from this earth without the life of Jesus appearing in our mortal bodies which would have given us His eternal life now…for salvation is now.

(13) For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
(14) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

The Spirit of God will NOT always strive with man who continues to live after the flesh (he is also flesh). We MUST slay the works of the flesh….the envy, the strife, the hatred, etc….so that we may LIVE in this earth with the eternal life of Jesus. We will perish from this earth if we continue to live after the flesh and not after His Spirit.

Genesis 6:3 KJV
(3) And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years
.

The flesh and the Spirit are contrary to one another. We must choose to live after the Spirit so that we may LIVE NOW in this earth and the nations shall see His appearing life (the banner: I AM the resurrection and the life) of which they shall seek after Him.

Galatians 5:16-17 KJV
(16) This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
(17) For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

But the scoffers in the churches of men will hear this and continue to walk after their lusts….continuing to live after the flesh and not after the Spirit.

2 Peter 3:3-9 KJV
(3) Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

The scoffers: WHERE is the promise of His coming? Where is the appearing eternal life of Jesus in this earth as all have died from the beginning of the creation.

(4) And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
(5) For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:

But they are willingly ignorant that by the Word (SAYING) of God (And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh…) , the world that was, perished with water that overflowed them (the Flood).

(6) Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

By the SAME WORD (the SAME SAYING of God in Genesis 6:3): And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh), the heavens and the earth which are now are STORED with fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

(7) But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

But the Lord is longsuffering towards us not willing that any should perish from off this earth but that all should come to repentance.

(8) But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
(9) The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

His wrath IS REVEALED NOW from Heaven (IN THIS CURRENT heaven and earth) against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who hold down the truth in unrighteousness. This is a NOW THING as men perish from off this earth under the wrath of God because of their ungodliness and unrighteousness.

Romans 1:18 KJV
(18) For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

Men hold down the Truth in their unrighteousness as they set aside the commandment of God to have love for one another in order to keep the doctrines and commandments of men that they use to judge others with. They judge each other….speaking evil of others as “evil doers” who do not keep their particular denominational teachings and commandments.

Mark 7:6-9 KJV
(6) He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
(7) Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
(8) For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.

The wrath of God comes upon the children of disobedience in the churches of men who down the Truth in their unrighteousness as they reject the commandment of God to have love for one another in order to keep the “tradition”…the transmission…of men…..the “handwriting” of church dogmas (the teachings and commandments of men that are contrary to us getting along with one another).

(9) And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

When we speak evil of our brothers (as “evildoers” because they do not keep our church scribe’s handwriting of church dogmas), we are not a DOER of the Law (of Christ who commanded us to have love for one another).

James 4:11-12 KJV

(11) Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.
(12) There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?

It sounds like you're saying we will never grow old and die if we are godly. A few people hold to that idea every now and then throughout history. I've never seen them succeed in living out that belief. It would be the most tragic of all Christian doctrines if it were true, being that not one person in two thousand years had ever succeeded in obtaining that kind of immortality for following Christ.

In the back of my mind I always had hoped it would be true, but the advent of white hairs on my chin convinced me that God has every intention of killing me, yet.

Mostly I agree with much of what you typed, some of it like immortality in this life I'm uncertain what you mean. Are you talking about the his spirit being in us as believers and followers? That through seeking him in ourselves and others he's with us, both spirit and flesh as we're as a whole the body of Christ? This means being reborn again on earth in his name and accepting his presence here and now? But also what do you think about Jesus saying he'll raise him who eats his flesh and drinks his blood on the last day, this not about the resurrection after literal physical death?

John 6:54-56 (NKJV)
54 Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. 56 He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.

Matthew 18:20-22
20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”
21 Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?”
22 Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.

Luke 9:23-24
23 Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. 24 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.

Dear brothers,

Peace to all of you.

Thanks for taking the time to read. A lot of people don’t really read past the first few lines or paragraphs but I can tell you have read and understood what I’m trying to say …and I know I’m not saying it very concisely at that. Thanks brothers for your patience.

What I am hearing is what was predicted for man to be saying at this idea: where is the promise (the promise of the eternal life of Jesus in this world) of His coming?

For since the fathers fell asleep (they all died….Mary died….Paul died), all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation. Everyone has died….all things continue as they were (people still dying) and no man through many generations and years has achieved immortality through Jesus by believing such a thing.

2 Peter 3:3-4 KJV
(3) Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
(4) And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

But we must remember the most often repeated verses in the whole Bible:

John 3:14-19 KJV
(14) And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

Whosever believes in (Greek: INTO) Him should not perish but have eternal life….a PRESENT thing to be had in this world.

“Perishing” is dying from this earth under the wrath of God that rises upon all mortal flesh which is as the grass that withers away under the sun….and all of the world is condemned already. The wages of sin is death….death to our mortal body which is dead in trespasses and sins.

But, the Just One (who died for us and IS RISEN and ALIVE NOW) shall live in our mortal bodies by our faith as we believe INTO Him as His life appears in our outer man which is regenerated into His incorruptible, undefiled, immortal body.

It is a “transfiguration”…a metamorphosis of our humiliated-by-sin mortal body into His glorious one. He gives His flesh for the life of this world. This corruptible and mortal body must put on Him who is incorruptible and immortal. As we bear the image of the earthly man, we must also put on the Heavenly Man now in this life so that we do not perish but be transformed into His eternal life.

(15) That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

It is all about this world…..for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that we should not perish from this world but have the Son’s everlasting life…..if we BELIEVE into Him. Those that do not believe into Him are perishing from this earth.

(16) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

God did not send His Son into this world to condemn this world (as this world is already condemned) but that this world THROUGH Him might be saved (have His everlasting life). It is about this world….about the here-and-now where His heavenly, eternal life is to be received in this life. He gives His flesh for the life of the world....this world.

(17) For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

He that believes INTO (not “on” but “into” here in verse 18) is not being condemned with the world under the wrath of God which IS REVEALED from Heaven upon all men for their ungodliness and unrighteousness as all are perishing from off this earth as we speak.

We believe INTO Him and we enter into His rest in this earth as we step into the next age now (where there is no more death as the old things pass away).

(18) He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already,
because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
(19) And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

If any man be in Christ, he is a new creation: old things are passed away and behold, all things are become new. Our salvation is now.

2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV
(17) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

The “old things” of death, sorrow, crying, pain shall pass away for us if we are in Christ as we receive the age-lasting life now where there is no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, nor pain as the former things pass away. We are to labor to enter into His rest where the things are new and out from under the current wrath of God (where the old things of death, sorrow, pain, crying are currently being experienced by all men).

Revelation 21:3-5 KJV
(3) And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
(4) And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
(5) And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

Which brings me back to 2nd Peter where the heavens and the earth, WHICH ARE NOW, by the same word or saying ( the saying of the Lord: my Spirit shall not strive with man forever for he is just flesh…) are stored now with fire (His wrath) against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

This is the current system of the “old things” that are to pass away for us if we believe into Him …entering into His rest. But…. we must mortify the deeds of the body in His Spirit so that we may enter into life….the receiving of His eternal life.

The Spirit of God will not always strive with us if we continue to live after the flesh (he is also flesh)…but He is patient with us not willing that any should perish. His patience with us (to change our minds and deaden the works of the flesh out of our lives with the power of His Spirit) is our salvation. Let us be transformed by the renewing of our minds.

"reserved unto fire"....stored now with fire unto our destruction

2 Peter 3:7-18 KJV
(7) But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
(8) But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise….the promise of eternal life (John 3:16)…..but is long suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish from the earth under His wrath (the current heavens and earth being stored with fire for our destruction) but that all should come to repentance.

(9) The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

If we don’t repent…don’t make room to change our minds about these things, then all of our things…our church works…shall be burnt up under His wrath as we perish from off this earth. The teachings and commandments of men do not save the mortal flesh of anyone as all perish with the using of them.

We ourselves shall be saved but as through the fire of His wrath and we suffer loss (the loss of our mortal body). The wages of sin is death under the wrath of God that rises upon all mortal flesh that withers away under the sun of His wrath as men are judged for their ungodliness and unrighteousness.

(10) But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

But this current system (the “old things” of death, sorrow, pain, crying) shall be dissolved if we are in Christ as they pass away for us who are and things become new where there is no more death, sorrow, pain and crying. This is why we should always behave…. be in all holy conversation and godliness.

"these things shall be dissolved" = they shall pass away

(11) Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

We are looking for and hasting unto the PRESENCE (“coming”) of the day of God (the day of His rest) where this current heavens being on fire for our destruction shall be dissolved….that is, the former things of destruction by fire of our mortal flesh shall pass away for us if we are in Christ and all things become new as we enter into His rest.

The “elements”…the teachings and commandments of men (their ordinances, their handwritings of dogmas) that burn us with the using of them….shall be decomposed. They shall pass away for us as they burn many who perish with the using of them and are useless for keeping us here in this earth. they do nothing to save our mortal flesh with the keeping of them as the "elements" destroy us.

(12) Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

We are looking for the time when this whole earth shall be the home of His righteousness….and we shall live to see it as we shall participate in bringing it here as we are to have His everlasting life in this earth for the whole dark and dying world to visibly see.

The nations of this world shall see His appearance in us and will glorify God and will seek Him for their lives also ushering in the “new heaven and new earth” wherein dwells His righteousness only. The whole creation is awaiting for the manifestation of the sons of God.

(13) Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
(14) Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
(15) And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

The “earnest expectation” of the creation waits for the manifestation of the sons of God….the appearing life of Jesus in our mortal flesh…..or I should say the metamorphosis of our corruptible, mortal body into His incorruptible, immortal one.

Romans 8:18-22 KJV
(18) For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
(19) For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
(20) For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,

The whole creation awaits for this manifestation because then itself shall be delivered from the bondage of “corruption”….the bondage of DECAY…into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

(21) Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
(22) For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now

Hi brother yeshuaslavejeff,

Peace to you.

All that I ask is for one to keep an open mind to what is being said. If you want to talk about anything in particular, please let me know. You know that I’ll be happy to talk about anything. :)

Thanks brother.

Acts 20:7-12 KJV
(7) And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.
(8) And there were many lights in the upper chamber, where they were gathered together.
(9) And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead.
(10) And Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing him said, Trouble not yourselves; for his life is in him.
(11) When he therefore was come up again, and had broken bread, and eaten, and talked a long while, even till break of day, so he departed.
(12) And they brought the young man alive, and were not a little comforted.

Peace…brother…peace.

I hear and understand your concerns.

Whenever we hear something “new”, we should be like the Bereans and search the Scriptures daily to see if the things we hear are so (or not so). There are many people out there speaking many things and we should be diligent….doing our own due diligence.

Acts 17:10-11 KJV
(10) And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.

The Bereans were open minded (all readiness of mind…a forwardness of the mind) towards what Paul had to say and they did diligently search the Scriptures daily to see if those things were so. They did their due diligence as we should also.

(11) These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

There are “new” things to be heard. Things “new and old” about the kingdom of heaven are to be brought out so others may hear.

Matthew 13:51-52 KJV
(51) Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.
(52) Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

No one really desires the “new” immediately as he is used to the “old” things that he has heard. But eventually some will receive the “new” with a renewed mind.

Luke 5:38-39 KJV
(38) But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved.
(39) No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.

But, just to ease your concerns, it has been my experience here that there is not that many who are truly listening (if any are). But the “exercise” of typing I do here profits my own understanding of which I thank God for. If any are really listening, I truly do not know. I am thinking very seriously about ending my time here on "Christian Forums" and move on.

Thanks brother for listening. This response turned out to be longer than I had anticipated it to be....sorry about that.
