They probably have other picks already lined up in the hopper if I had to guess, and it's very unlikely that Hillary is one of them, like you said.

If they try anything, I think they'll go with an Obama strategy again where they try to focus more on rallying the youth vote by putting someone younger and "more hip" out there and perhaps someone a little "less establishment" as that seemed to the be a popular theme on both sides of the fence last time around.
