How to gain Gods favor?

Take no thought for your life as the Lord teaches. Seek the Kingdom and God will supply your needs. Matthew 6:25-34

Be anxious for nothing but by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let you requests be known to God. Philippians 4:6-7

Be thankful in every circumstance. 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Know how to get along with humble means, and also how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance learn the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. Philippians 4:12

It's not really about competition is it? The favor of God doesn't mean he plays favorites. It means we are close to God and are asking for the things which really matter and for the right reasons.

The prayer of a righteous mans avails much and has strong power as it is working. But our prayers most certainly can be hindered if we do not have honor.

Humble yourself before God when praying and live accordingly. It's difficult but we should live selflessly by denying ourselves and accepting his will through Christ. None of us do this perfectly and could be better about it. Put spiritual things before material gain and he'll do everything else.

Interesting question, I'd likeGod to tell me by some way . Wasting a day to prepare for job interview just to not get a job so some gentile or other Christian can get but what can you do


From what we read in Bible God said he gives to whoever he wants to give you can't really gain his favor .

BY praying simply that the other person gets the job !

(and still also , " THY WILL be done, " , THY PURPOSE be accomplished)

Come on man. Don't you think that is being self righteous? We all need to work and get a job. God has no problem in us working for ourselves in our own right. In fact that's what he wants us to do!

Jesus tells all the disciples to look after the needs of OTHERS (as more important) BEFORE THEIR OWN.

Yeah I understand that and honestly yes I've prayed for others in this very way. But if you truly need the job then there is no call to do this. You can ask for the job for yourself in faith. It is perfectly fine.

Did that didn't work . Actually God is blessing ppl around me left and right especially my unbelieving mom and dad.

Then instead of praying for the other to get the job, just don't show up for the interview.

God makes His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. We however have something that unbelievers dont have. We have peace no matter the circumstance.

But maybe his purpose was for you to get the job not the other person , then you would be praying against his will .

I think it's too late now. The one who has best been doing the Lord's will has the favor, though the Lord probably has the lives of both planned.

I was right then, just stay at home and the guy that has the opening will miraculously call you and hire you on the phone.

No need to even leave the house any more, God has it all planned anyway, why waste the time going out.
