In Genesis 6-7, God is regretful and grieved by man's sin on the earth. He's warns that we wouldn't always be with him and our days are numbered. What's mentioned is the wickedness of men tend to have in their hearts. But he found Noah to be a just man and extended his grace to him. Though he was one among many on the earth, he wasn't the same as them. He listened to God's warning and as instructed followed his plan building the ark.

Noah was being prepared for the coming destruction of all flesh on the earth and endure until after when life would begin again. It was God's who warned, prepared, and saved those who listened. All were killed in the flood except Noah and his family along with the animals as instructed for the continuance of life on the ark.

Was it Noah's faith believing God and trusting him to be saved? While he did work preparing for the flood, it was all by God's instruction for him to be save; so other then doing as told did Noah save himself? What similarities are we to observe and learn from the Gospel and Jesus about sins, repentance, and salvation?
