Its hard to make sense of it.

That's part of the problem though.
We are talking about God; trying to understand an infinite being, with our finite minds; trying to figure out the One who says that his ways are greater than our ways, and his thoughts higher than our thoughts.

Would love to know your thoughts on how they don't contradict each other.

Maybe I'm just stupid, but I don't understand why people think they do.
God knows all things and can do all things.

Maybe I should say EXCEPT, lie, sin and go against his own nature.
Technically then, I suppose that means there aren't things God cannot do, since he will not deny himself.

Let's start at the beginning... Is there a God who knows absolutely everything...?

And, I mean "everything"...?

And, if so, how so...?

And, what does he do with this knowledge...?

Comments...?

God Bless!

Also this:

Is he Christ, and/or is he (also maybe) (or not), is he YHWH...?

If he's not as Jesus or as a man, then, why is that...?

And then, if he is YHWH, then why does it not seem like it in the OT...?

Then, also...?

How do you say God knows "absolutely everything", and I mean "everything", and yet we still have free will...?

How does that work...?

God Bless!
God knows everything becuase he created everything and the fullness thereof. His name is JESUS. We have free will becuase we were created in his image and if we didn't have free will then we wouldn't be created in his image...wouldn't make sense to have Love, Joy, peace, but not free will.

Maybe I'm just stupid, but I don't understand why people think they do.

The contradiction comes from this:
God knows "X" will happen on a certain date.
He can't change what will happen on that date because he has already chosen what will happen.
If he can't change it, he is not all powerful.
If he does change it, then he was wrong about "X" and therefore not all knowing.

That's the best way I can present the contradiction off the cuff. Been a crazy long day. lol

God plans, then executes the orbit of each electron in the Cosmos.
And has time to commune with us as well.

The contradiction comes from this:
God knows "X" will happen on a certain date.

Well he is outside time, but he sees and knows what will happen.

He can't change what will happen on that date because he has already chosen what will happen.

No, he knows what will happen.
He knows the outcome; he also knows if the outcome MIGHT have been different - eg if someone prayed. In the Bible the teaching is always "repent, or this will happen/you'll receive this punishment". That says that 2 different outcomes are possible; they'll repent and be blessed, or won't, and will be punished.
God knows which one people are going to choose. That doesn't mean he sits helplessly by and says "oh dear; I can't change that".

If he can't change it, he is not all powerful.

There are many occasions in Scripture when God said "I will destroy ......" and later didn't - Ninevah, for example. That's why Jonah was so cheesed off.
Jesus tells us to pray, and to keep seeking and knocking. What would be the point of any of that if the Lord had already decided, and chosen, for something to happen and was unable to change it?

If he does change it, then he was wrong about "X" and therefore not all knowing.

No, because he knew that people would pray/the circumstances change, and therefore the outcome would change too.

Going back to my first statement; he is outside time. He sees and knows all things - as they are, and as they might have been.

Can can't know something until it happens. After everything happens he will have turned out to know everything, but not before then. God does not reside in the future.

God does not reside in the future.

God is outside time and sees all things.
He's not IN an event that hasn't happened yet, but he knows it will happen, and what our response will be.
He already knows when the world is going to end and Jesus come again.

If there was something that God didn't know, how would he be God - events would take him by surprise.
