Her parents were Christian and her willingness to put up with abuse even from a non-believer was considered one of her saintly qualities.
Yes and that’s one of the good qualities of her that she could stay faithful to God despite all her suffering.

My mistake, I had confusion arise when it came to Saint Ambrose. I keep forgetting Theodosius came after Julian the Apostate. Anyhow after Julian’s policies which gave the pagans much power to start abusing Christians again, generally it was natural fear of what may happen again. Since Christianity was not well established in the empire, yet and significant proportions of it were still pagan. It wasn’t until Theodosius made it officially the religion of the Roman Empire that it became well established.

In Daniel there are four Beasts and in Revelation there are two. Aside from that, biblical prophecies often have more than one fulfillment.
One of whom is the Anti Christ, none of the prophecies of the Beasts have come to be fulfilled as of yet. People just assumed throughout history that they were fulfilled.

Bible doesn't say that.

[QOUTE]none of the prophecies of the Beasts have come to be fulfilled as of yet. People just assumed throughout history that they were fulfilled.[/QOUTE]

And you assume you know better than all of them.

I never assume anything.

So instead Christians had the right to abuse pagans?

It wasn’t until Theodosius made it officially the religion of the Roman Empire that it became well established.

In other words, other religions were now persecuted.

Saint Ambrose merely gave the policiy to shut down the remaining Pagan temples which became a breeding down of anti Christian sentiment and resentment towards Christians. Theodosius forcefully enforcing Christianity at the time wasn’t something uncommon among rulers. Anyhow Theodosius isn’t a Saint nor a prophet nor was he a perfect and sinless man.

Actually he was the first one.
The first person to enforce religion, no, previous emperors did the same to Christians, Babylonians and Assyrians would frequently destroy each other’s idols and ban the worship of each other’s Gods during conquests aswell.

Doesn't say anything about banning people from worshiping their gods, in fact it says they pretty much worshiped the same gods. It does mention the destruction of temples, but then the entire city was destroyed. The Assyrians took the idol of Marduk back with them to Nineveh, but they didn't destroy it. Incidentally, Deutero-Isaiah predicted that the Persians would destroy the Babylonian Temple, just as the Babylonians had destroyed their own. Didn't happen. Cyrus conquered Babylon thanks to the priests opening the gates and he claimed to be acting in the name of Marduk. Although a Zoroastrian himself he seemed perfectly happy to have his subjects pray for his health and welfare to the god of their choice.

Anyways enforcing religion wasn’t uncommon back then.
