What has God meant to you in your life?

God has meant LIFE to me, without Him I could not live. He is everything to me and my longing is to be with Him in heaven for eternity.

Until then, I read the Bible and I never cease to be amazed at how much He loves us, is so patient and merciful. Jesus has taught me what true love is and I am thankful to Him beyond measure and try to live according to His word, which of course I fail, so come to Him to ask forgiveness for the times I have grieved Him. I also use the Bible to test all things in life and ask the Holy Spirit for discernment. I pray and bring everything to Him but know I need to pray more. I wish everyone knew Him.

God is my light and my life.

God has meant hope for me. Hope that He will make me new. I dont like the old me very well.

God took me, a condemned sinner, and gave me new life and hope.
I tried my way and I got nothing but trouble for doing things my way.
When the Scripture says that the way of the transgressor is hard, I know this to be true.
God didn't want me to go to prison, but I insisted on doing things my way so off I went for 58 months.
I missed out on a lot during those years that I can never get back.

But God used that time in prison to mold me to what He wanted.
And if I could go back I wouldn't change anything, because I now have a testimony to show God's power.

God has always been apart of my life since I was raised as a christian but what he means to me is hope and guidence. He has helped my family and guided us so many times over the years and Jesus has always served as an example of what we should all strive to be like as humans.

God has meant everything to me,freedom from bad choices,love thats never ending,etc.

I'm not sure it can be properly explained... to be honest.

Prior to salvation I thought I was doing great, I thought I was good and a righteous human being who needed no help.. I believed I could be "good enough" to tip the scales to my favor and get into heaven...

So to go from that to realizing first my sin then my need, then to feeling what I do today, so much different than before when I describe it as meaning everything, even life itself.. those words are inadequate at best to say, and honestly I'm not sure words can ever be enough to describe what it means to me.

I think that's why we often use cause and effect to share the experience with others, in terms people can understand such as through the power of God I was able to overcome x and y and am a better person today for it..

It's easier than trying to explain a relationship so amazing you want to worship with all your heart a God beyond your imagining..

"My flesh and my heart faileth, but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever" (Psalm 73.26).

Redemption, I am in awe of where He removed me from and where He has brought me to. I look at the with He has done on me and I am sincerely wowed at what He can do. For the price He paid for me on the cross I'll forever love Him.

God held me up during dark times, intervened to save me in more ways than one, delivered me from hardship and darkness, has filled me with joy, hope, love and support. I find Him inspirational and beautiful.
