'THREE QUESTIONS' by Andrew Smith. 'Reading through the book of (1 Thessalonians) recently,I could'nt get past the cry of the Apostle Paul's heart to the young church there. In particular the statement right at the start of Chapter 1,'We always thank God for all of you in our prayers. We continually remember before our God and Father, your work produced by faith, your labour prompted by love and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 1:2-3)

Andrew Smith continues,'Faith, hope and love are 3 incredible attributes and characteristics that need to be flowing in equal measure in the lives of all Christian leaders today. Let me quickly ask 3 questions. 1)When was the last time we really stepped out in faith trusting God? Hebrews reminds us that 'without faith,it is impossible to please God'. When did we last please God in this way?'

Andrew continued,' 2) What are we hoping for in God today? For some that 'feeling of expectation and desire for God to do a certain thing,' may be church related, family related or AOG related. Whatever the focus of our hope, let us believe that God will come through for us. Let's keep hope down in our hearts. 3) Do we talk/sing/pray more about love than actually showing it by lifestyle today? Jesus said,'By this shall all men know that you are my disciples,if you have love for one another'

'The heart of a leader' (Proverbs 3:24) 'Guard your heart. If the heart of a leader is not right,it does'nt matter what your team or congregation is like,at some point it will all fall to pieces' (Andrew Smith AoG GB Training 2018)
